We had an amazing experience from start to finish. Simon was so patient with us as first time car buyers and guided us through each step. We didn't feel hounded or push into a purchase and he encouraged us to take our time and pick something that worked for us. When we had chosen and set everything up our car was ready to go in 48hours and I was able to pick it up. Thank you so much to Simon and HPL for giving us our dream car.

Recently bought a car from HPL OLDHAM and the issues seem to be endless. When I was sold the car (which is just 2 years old), I was told that it had full service history and a log book, which is what you'd expect, so I didn't question it and oh do I regret it. I paid a £500 deposit and arranged to collect the car several days later. When I arrived to collect the car, I was told that they had lost the V5 log book and as a consequence would have to fill out a V62 which the salesman would then take to the Post Office there and then. He took it whilst I sat in the showroom for over 1 hour and when he arrived back he took the remaining balance of the payment and said that's all done - happy to let me drive the car out of the showroom without road tax. Unable to tax the car without a log book or reminder, the only option was for another trip to the post office, this time with me in tow to arrange the road tax. This again took another hour. Upon arrival back at HPL the car was ready and I examined the documents that had been put in the glove box. None of the documents had any reference to the vehicle I had just purchased and the service book was completely missing. At this point I'd been in the showroom for just shy of 4 hours and quite frankly had enough. I told them that without the service book I wouldn't be taking the car. Miraculously a service booked appeared, however it was brand new with just a single stamp from HPL in there. If the vehicle had full service history, there should have been 2 stamps (year 1 and year 2). Despite this I took the car home and after some searching I realised that without a full service history, the Hyundai 5 year warranty may be void. The next day I rang the branch to complain and state my case that the car had been 'miss sold' to me due to the advertisement of it having full service history. I was rang back by a manager who was unbale to locate the original service book nor were they able to find any electronic record of the previous service. As an apology HPL agreed to cover any warranty claims that Hyundai wouldn't cover due as a consequence of not maintaining the service schedule, however when I asked for this in writing it took 3 weeks and 8 phoner calls later to actually receive this via email. I genuinely can't believe how a reputable company such as HPL can be so deceiving and would strongly suggest that their claims of servicing etc are evidenced prior to laying out a penny. I purchased the car on 07/09/2024 and have already taken the car back due to overheating, which caused the headlight seals to fail. The car is still not right and I may as well have thrown 17k down the drain. In addition to the above, I am yet to receive payment for vouchers that I submitted for being a repeat customer and also a referral voucher from my partner, totaling £120 - yet again, another lie from HPL. I'd really like to speak to someone in a senior position at HPL and listen to their thoughts on my experience.

25 years of car buying and this experience was the best I’ve ever had. The test drive was a very relaxed, thorough and enjoyable one and every other aspect of the purchase was quick and easy. In fact I could have had the new car the following day if i’d wanted to. Very impressed. Liam was a credit to the company.

Everytime I've got a new car it's been HPL. I had assistance this time from Adrian at the Oldham branch and his service was 11out of 10. I had a little issue at the start but Adrian was so supportive and done everything he could. Adrian went above and beyond. I recommend asking for this guy if you go! Thank you

I recently bought a Citroen C3 from HPL. Skye was very professional and helpful even though she told me she had only been in the job 2 weeks I would have never known. She will be a credit to HPL. My purchase went smoothly and I recommend Syke to deal with when you visit HPL motors.

My sales advisor was Charlie Heyes who was very helpful, he sorted everything out for me and I had such a lovely and positive experience in store with Charlie and other staff. Recently traded in my car and got a good price plus an excellent new motor. Customer service was efficient and friendly on the day of signing contracts but what came after is a different story of events. I aim to provide a fair review of our experience but unfortunately most of my review includes cons over pros. Cons - * Let us test drive the vehicle without it having a valid MOT and there was a recall on it. * Vehicle recall was only fixed after signing agreements and had to be drove to another garage (Car sat on the forecourt with an outstanding recall but available to purchase and test drive?) * Promised a particular date to collect the car but come date of collection, communication was minimal and we were left in the dark on whether we could make alternative arrangements (Car was in a dealership in Stockport on day of initial collection). * Car was late for collection as was at the other dealership getting recall fixed (this was pushed to allow us to get the car quickly which is appreciated but don’t promise a date you can’t commit to). * Drove away with the car to find that when we got home the parcel shelf in the boot was missing (phoned up to be told the valet team realised it had snapped - but they let us drive away with an incomplete product) * Asked to write a review (fair enough as I was going to anyway!) but was told we could write it as we drive home (was this because there was a missing parcel shelf in the back?) * Drove to Oldham from Bolton as I was told the parcel shelf is ready (new one) but it didn’t fit. * Paid £150 for what we was told is a ‘HPL Bible’ containing vouchers for service/MOT and told we can use this at any other VAT approved garage - reading these coupons at home this is not true and can only be used at HPL motors. I asked if we could use this at Atherton to which we were told YES but turns out they don’t provide these services - robbing customers blind on this one and unfortunately we fell for it. * Had to ring up for AA breakdown information. * ‘HPL Bible’ was not given so had to go back in and ask for this (funnily enough we shouldn’t have bothered seeing as we was mis-sold on it) * Private plate logbook not fully completed on HPL’s part, had to do this myself online after being told it had been done. * Sales are never available when you need to speak to them, seems like only when convenient for them. Say they will ring you back but rarely this is the case. * Each sales representative in it for themselves, if you’re not their customer they don’t care. Pros - * Car was valeted nicely. * Good trade in price. * Parcel shelf was delivered to our house nearly 2 weeks after purchase. A mixture of a pro and a con but felt like this could have been ignored but we finally got what we purchased. * Nice car with low mileage and good condition.

I recently purchased a car from HPL - Oldham. The experience from start to finish was incredible. David dealt with me from the moment I rang to enquire about the car I’d seen online and he was so helpful and kept me updated throughout the whole process. The car I was interested in was at the Preston branch and David made sure the car was in Oldham for me to go and look at by getting it himself. I was booked in the next day to have a look and take a test drive and was made to feel welcome and at ease. David got me the best deal and the finishing touches with the car like ensuring it had enough petrol in it to get me home without me even asking was really thoughtful. I thought the car was only having a service, but David had some extra bits done on the car to ensure everything was working perfectly for me. I would definitely return to HPL in the future. David is professional, friendly, trustworthy and overall an excellent salesman.
