Buying a car from a distance is not something I thought I would do, but HPL Motors made it straightforward - all the potential negatives are talked about up front and the car you eventually see and drive away is exactly the one you thought you were getting. Alan and Sacha, the staff were excellent at all stages of the process. Should I live long enough to replace this car, I would be more than happy to buy another car from HPL.

Why go anywhere else, if you want a car that is value for money then go to HPL. The customer service is second to none. The car we purchased is the 5th one we have had from HPL, you get looked after, there is no hard sell and they even offer free drinks while you are browsing. Big shout out to Kyle who looked after us, we spent all last weekend, browsing and test driving different cars. His customer service was second to none! Thanks Kyle.

I was looking around HPL Motors to get a ruff idea of what I wanted for my first car, i had a great look around at the cars outside/inside on the property they have exceptional range of cars that are in amazing condition, james booth was our car sales advisor he asked if everything was okay and did i want any help, as a new driver I didn't have a clue were to start so I explained my situation, James was very helpful, professional and reassuring he showed me a couple of Mercedes A classes that I originally wanted he shown me inside and out telling me all about the cars, the differences between the old models to the new ones he let me sit in them unfortunately I was to small for the bucket seats as I couldn't really see the front end of the car but these were emaculate cars they looked brand new, james showed me an Audi A1 S line, I was walking around the outside then he let me sit inside soon as I sat inside I thought to myself this is the car for me it was absolutely stunning. james let me test drive it and i knew this was the car i wanted, james did everything and anything to get me this car he was amazing from start to finish absolutely brilliant, james booth keep doing what your doing as a sales advisor because your smashing it this is what customers need a service with a big smile

Took my Fiat 500 in for service which was excellent Craig aTurner voluntarily valued my car and offered to refund my bill if I was interested in upgrading Rob Crawford offered me a Fiat 500 with lower mileage which I accepted A week later the deal was completed satisfactorily with a payement less than previous I waited two weeks for the V5 and refund and on the 16/11/22 phoned Elise Darragh who advised me on the delay from the DVLA for my V5 Elise also turned my request for a refund and the money is in my account this morning 17/11/22 Also like to mention Megan in service who is brilliant

We went into HPL motors looking for a family Suv. There was plenty of choice & we were left to look around without feeling pressured or harrassed. The salesman who assisted us was called Sean. He was fantastic in his knowledge and helpfulness in finding us a car. He found a car that we would potentially be interested in from their Oldham branch which he had it delivered to the Preston branch that afternoon, he then sent us a video of the car and we went back that evening to have a look. The car was just perfect. Sean is friendly, helpful & excellent at his job. Nothing was too much and after we purchased the car Sean checked in on us to make sure everything was OK. We would highly recommend going to HPL and seeing Sean 😊

I wasn't going to bother reviewing but as ive now been asked several times. They are a typical car supermarket. Buy cheap at auction,give them the bare minimum spit and polish then back out the door. Sales staff are ok. Paul who I delt with went through all the details and options, without any pressure and got things done. Service department are not so good. "Just been serviced", means its had an oil change and nothing more regardless of what other items are overdue. The air filter looked like it had been used to clean the shop floor and the cabin filter contained half a Scottish woodland. They replaced all the brake pads and disks without replacing the old shimms or using copper grease. Not a big deal but shows corner cutting. I would have not mentioned it but they also left out a caliper pin bolt on the front passenger side, causing it knock when going over bumps. They also replaced the battery but didn't tighten it down properly or attach the positive connection properly either. I only found out at a busy motorway junction, when the positive lead shook loose off the battery, causing the car to break down. Luckily I spotted it quickly but someone less car savvy would have been left stranded. By all means buy from them if they have a good deal but take someone who knows about cars with you, if you don't. Also expect less than nothing from the service department.

Sean was our saĺes person he was 1st class nothing was to much trouble making our purchase stress free.excellant customer service rang him a few times with questions after we had purchased car always available and answered my queries to put my mind at rest thanks sean.

I've given this review a very generous 1 star as i couldn't go any lower, the worst used car sales I've ever had dealings with. I Purchased a car from the Oldham branch back in August this year and upon driving the vehicle home established a fault on the rear screen (turned on rear demister and the radio went off). Arranged for the car to go in to be looked at and turned out the rear screen was faulty, screen was replaced by a 3rd party that was arranged by HPL but the 2nd screen was also faulty, trip back to their dealership for them to look at it and again agreed it was faulty. Another visit was arranged to replace the screen by the 3rd party and yet again another screen was fitted with the exact same problem! on the 4th attempt the screen was replaced without any issues. I've had the car now for approx 10 weeks and due to my circumstances changing I reached out to them to sell the car back to them as they knew all about the car, the sales manager gave a valuation £200 less than what was quoted on their website and in addition to this the valuation he gave was actually £2800 less than what the car was sold for! I appreciate a car depreciates in value but didn't think it would be that much!! I've no doubt that I have well overpaid for this car (I paid 19k for a 17 plate Merc that had 4 owners before me and they don't tell you the little detail like that by the way) they told me that the car had a full service history but from what i can see on a digital service report its not the case as it looks like it was due in February 2022! I would strongly advise anyone thinking of buying from this company to make sure you do your research before you even step foot into one of their so called showrooms or even pick up the phone to enquire. Their cars are well overpriced and only come with a one month warranty which even the motor ombudsman deem very rare as most dealership offer a 3 month warranty for used car as standard. The only thing i can give them a compliment on is Scott who works in the service department is genuine and was very apologetic when it was taken 4 attempts to get my rear screen replaced.
