We are not fans of sales garages, but HPL in Preston was different. It is a very welcoming environment. A salesperson does greet you on arrival, introducing themselves and explaining how to make best use of your time there. Then you are left to freely wander around looking at the cars on offer. The prices are fixed, so there is no dubious negotiation on your purchase. Sean, served us. He was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We have been pleased with our experience, the service and our vehicle

Paul Bennett's customer service is 10/10. He was helpful without being 'overly -salesy'. Initially, he took time to understand my needs and requirements for the car I wanted and walked me through every option I had without pressuring me into a sale. I 100% would recommend HPL purely on my experience with Paul.

HPL Motors Oldham is an amazing place to buy a car from! I bought my dream car for a super price! It is great to have a nice experience with very passionate people around! Filip was the salesman that sold me the car, looks like he was prepared for every question. And yes, I asked a lot about everything! Easy process, step in, sit down, ask, sign, pay and drive home! Perfect experience buying our car from HPL Preston. Sean was a great salesman who did a fab job of making sure he kept our 4 year old engaged with the car searching experience as much as us…..which is a job in itself! 🤣 All in all a perfect transition from choosing,test driving, paperwork & pick up. And the car is perfect! We’ve already recommended people and will definitely be back in the future! Thanks HPL & Sean

This is the 2nd vehicle I’ve bought this year with HPL Preston and for the second time in a row I’ve received fantastic service. As an amputee who requires specific requirements to drive, it’s challenging at times to find exactly what I’m after on my own. Paul B at Preston couldn’t possibly have done more to help, kept me up to date throughout the whole process and nothing was trouble for him. I would recommend HPL to anyone and everyone.

Again the experiences with these clowns gets worse. They don't honour repairs within the warranty period lightly and try their level best to fob you off. My vehicle was bought from them and deemed by independent assessors to be unsafe and dangerous. They wouldn't honour the repair and tried passing the buck. According to their head technicians its very normal for a car to veer left of its own accord. Like we don't know what tracking or alignment is? They pride themselves in wasting your time. They kept the car over a week and their clueless team of technicians could not rectify the issue. All recorded conversations with these lot will come in handy for a court case. It's such a shame these profit based companies can't provide you a service you've paid for and are happy to let you drive away in cars that are unsafe. No doubt for the sake of appearances they'll respond to this message. I guarantee you they'll do no more than a lip service response. Find my previous reviews to shed light on this. Totally avoid and expect more negative experiences to come to light. How often will you pay to silence the honest negative reviews? Dangerous Car, No Aftercare and why are your staff adamant on calling customers "Mate"?

Dont go near this company way barge pole honestly was interested in car last week we t through all the details even sent me a video of it. Then they sell it to someone else over the weekend money comes first way this lot its not about the customer thats for sure

Experience was smooth, communication was regular, and I was never left waiting for an answer to any questions. Kyle explained the extra products HPL offer, and I took out some of the extras. There was never a sense I was being rushed/pushed into making a decision, and would throughly recommend anyone to use HPL when buying their next car.

Had car just over 2 years taken a 3 year warranty out on top of it. Year 1 covid so hardly drove it . Last year couldn't afford get it serviced as finances were hard , repaying back bills,. This year still the same but I got quotes of 200+ for service so I got an independent mexhnic to do it on my ssangyong korando,my clutch went on Monday . Rang them up to say I have a warranty have you had it serviced with a vat registered company nope , well it needs a vat registered company to validate your warranty . Absolute shambles so now I have no spare car clutch has gone and no help what's soever even though I pay extra for the extra 3 years absolutely disgusting don't use them once they get your money that's it , but for a clutch to go on a vehicle after two years of getting it is disgusting .won't do the work even though I've had it serviced but just not by a vat registered company . And prices from big main garages are expensive.

I'm now one month into the fourth car I've bought from this company. In ten years of dealing with them I've never experienced anything above minor issues. It's probably in the buyer's own interest to purchase the extended warranty on offer. The clutch failed at 50,000 miles on my previous Audi A6, the warranty saved me from most of a £1,000+ bill. I have never had less than obliging service from Sue and the rest of the staff in the service department and on the occasion of my latest purchase I'd like to say thanks to Kyle for literally going the extra mile. Would definitely have given 5 stars were it not for the mix up regarding a missing second key fob. In fairness Anthony did meet me half way on the cost of a replacement.

Was messed about first with false promises of receiving a car, only for 2 separate orders to be messed up. After this, bought a Jaguar XE which has an engine fault in the first 3 weeks of purchasing the car. The engine light is still persisting and after being told its ok to drive around in for 19 days until they could fit me in, the car needs multiple parts and a new turbo. The car has been in for 4 days now, do not even both asking for a Courtesy car as they give you a very small car with HPL logo written all over and a drop of fuel in. Communication with staff has been difficult as no one updates you or takes anything further. You have to constantly ring and chase people for answers and you receive vague replies. I will continue to escalate my issues across multiple platforms and possibly take further action under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. It is unfair that people get treated like this and voices need to heard and rectified.
