Shelving unit bought from outlet, a useful facility but have also got bed, side table and 2 sofas from physical shops. However Ercol range is becoming narrower, would like to see more innovative design as in previous years. Quality excellent. Delivery very professional.

I have vintage 1960s Ercol and I needed new dining chairs. So after several years deliberating, including looking at Ercol at John Lewis, I took the plunge and bought a heritage love seat directly from the factory. Service was very quick, 3-4 weeks from order. I was kept informed on delivery date, very helpful company, who took all the packaging away and carried into the space. I’m so pleased. Buy quality and it lasts over 60 years and counting.

The item I bought came assembled but it was not assembled correctly the delivery team refused to take it back as they had no space on their van. Rather than wait for a replacement which would had taken to long I dismantled the table and assembled it correctly I then emailed Ercol and asked for some sort of discount.I thought that I saved Ercol a lot of money.I never had a reply.

Throughout the process of ordering and delivery I was given the information I needed and treated with respect. On the day of the delivery I was given a timeslot, and then a phone call 45 mins prior to arrival of my delivery. The young man who brought in my chair was courteous and thoughtful.

Good choice of quality items in outlet store

Visited Outlet shop after seeing discontinued lines advertised on web page. Placed an order which was delivered quickly by helpful & courteous staff. Extremely pleased with the products, their quality, and the savings !

Sent furniture back due to it being too big for the space. Problems largely with delivery service, pay for two-person and watch one struggle with a 28 kilo package up two flights of stairs, who then due to the struggle drops package on floor (obvious health & safety issue, plus the package had unmissable two-person delivery sign over it). It takes weeks for collection to take place which only happens because you keep chasing, much the same once returned. No confirmation, no notice of refund etc unless you chase. -------------------------------------------------------- Following Ercol's response I update this review to confirm that Ercol's "investigation" amounts to never having acknowledged damaged caused by one-person delivery, offering any kind of refund for not delivering on a two-person service that was paid for/damage to floor or any kind of follow up. In addition, their "premium" delivery service taken direct from the Ercol website advises: "Most of our furniture is delivered assembled, but in some instances, assembly may be required. Selecting the Premium delivery via ercol.com or ercol outlet will include a full delivery and installation service to your room of choice and removal of all packaging". It is therefore even more ironic that I paid for this premium service and the one-man delivery person refused to provide installation. All in all, ercol are asking you to pay some £100 for delivery and collection while chucking in for free, damage to your property. Polite responses on Trustpilot are all very well, but it's nothing more than an attempt to protect their reputation. I am pleased that this review provides the opportunity to show them up for what they are - dishonest. It is nothing more than an attempt to cover their back. ----------------------------------------------------------- Dear ercol, You haven't refunded delivery and returned costs - that's another lie. You have confirmed in email that both ercol and your transport partner have violated my personal property and misused the data protection and this is something that needs further investigation. You do not have the right to enter someone's property, damage it and walk away without being accountable. I am certain that this is not something you would expect or tolerate of someone visiting your stores.
