United Kingdom | 14 November 2018I ordered in the afternoon, and because my order exceeded £50 it was post free, so I was blown away when my order arrived before noon the very next day. Outstanding. I've always had a problem in my kitchen since I replaced the 14 x 50 watt GU10 bulbs with various LED equivalents. They have been no patch on the halagons and my kitchen has been dim. So I ordered 25 x GU10 LED SMD 60 degrees 7W cool white bulbs (600Lm) to see if they could perform like the halogen bulbs. The cool white (4000K) is a very bright white, and makes the 3000K warm (I had) white look distinctly yellow. My kitchen is BRIGHT once again. These are 600 lumens each. These The slightly wider 60 degree spread also helps even out the light. Also use them in my Office. At £2.52 each I thought they were very good value for money and since 25 cost £63 I got them post free, so that's all I paid £2.52 each. I'm so used to free postage taking forever to arrive that I was truly shocked to find that I had these bulbs in my mitts the next day. I'll use them again without hesitation.

United Kingdom | 14 April 2018I bought 14 LED G9 bulbs ftom National Lighting a few months ago. One of my bulbs died and I didn’t keep receipt. They swapped bulb no questions but when I got it home it was a different colour to the other 13. Odd!! Same make, same bulb, same cool white colour. They replaced that one too but it was still a different colour. So they replaced all 14 bulbs. Amazing. Thank you very much appreciated. 5 star service.

United Kingdom | 07 December 2017In September I purchased two brick lights from National Lighting online. When they arrived I discovered that they were not standard brick size but considerably smaller so I returned them using a tracking service via the Post Office. Despite providing a name and signature as evidence of their arrival at their National Lighting depot (as they requested) they refuse to refund me for them. They now have my money and my lights.

United Kingdom | 18 August 2017Placed my order yesterday with next day delivery. Thought I paid extra for delivery before noon but I forgot to actually click the option in my basket. I rang at 10am-ish this morning to see if they could still get it for me and hooray - my parcel arrived 11:30. Perfect, because my electrician showed up just 5 minutes after! So impressed by this - I highly recommend.

United Kingdom | 11 September 2016I purchased an under sink water heater for a client of mine. Once installed the water ran scalding hot and was unsafe to use. After days of emails and phone calls, the manufacturer of the heater sent me a replacement thermostat. I was very unhappy that I had to replace a part myself. Once I opened the heater it was clear that the water heater has been used before and repaired before. National lighting do not honour consumer rights and send out items claiming that they are new when they know damn well that they are used.Avoid this company at all costs. I for one will never use them again.

United Kingdom | 21 December 2015I paid £150 for 4 light switches with next day delivery. 4 days post the order only 2 switches arrived. Multiple days later after multiple emails and phone calls, I was informed that they have misplaced the other 2 lights. This time they charged me extra so I can get the missing 2 lights with next day delivery! Once these had finally arrived 8 days later (note I had a next day delivery promise!) one turned out to befaulty and the others had dead batteries which I had to replace at my own cost. Don't ever use this company, if you want to save yourself a massive headache.

National Lighting considers this to be a 'Special Order' although this is not disclosed on the website. It finally arrived and looked nothing like the online photo. I contacted customer service and was given the usual terms & conditions blah blah that most companies give. Finally they agreed to accept the return and I sent it back (at my expense). 15 days later, do you think there has been a refund? Nope! I contacted them only to be asked to provide proof of delivery and the tracking number. The shipper's website shows it was delivered on the 4th of Sept (17 days ago). I would highly discourage anyone from using this company, it's not worth the hassle to save a couple of quid!

This time round, we were enquiring about some spotlights and their VAT didn't match on checkout, it was £2 over. More importantly, the site said that if the order was over £50 exclusive VAT, delivery would be free, but no matter how many times we tried over the next few days, the £10 would always be added and the VAT was still £2 out. Our order was over £50 before VAT. Normally we wouldn't check as the price would be inclusive VAT on check out but on this occasion we took a look at the breakdown - especially since the £10 delivery was always applied although the site said it would be free. Both my husband and myself wrote emails with screenshots and our calculations. We are yet to hear from national lighting - this would be 3 weeks now. We did receive an automated message shortly after trying to check out saying that they had kept our basket for us as we didn't check out! Subsequent emails at their contact us email address were ignored. You can clearly see this if you click on their delivery link on the website that it states "All* orders over £50 (ex VAT) will be delivered free of charge anywhere within zone 1" We were pretty disappointed as when we had no query a couple of months ago, the order was dispatched without a hitch. Owing to the fact nobody answered our query, we will look for our lights elsewhere. Our experience was very poor - Due to the non contact it really has diluted our faith in Nationallighting as a company. Happy for nationallighting to contact us regarding our non experience should they care.
