United Kingdom | 29 November 2024Order #571226 Yes I only ordered replacement straps but over a week ago, I purchased thinking it was next day delivery. How wrong was I, no communication when I have asked where my order is, Royal mail say they have not received the package, if you cannot honour your orders can I have a refund and I'll buy from Amazon! In reply, I had contacted you twice, once via email reply and then again via your website, contact us portal. The tracking says Royal Mail have not received the parcel from yourselves

United Kingdom | 28 November 2024This GPS tracker was for our second dog - we got it because the first dog's had been so successful. Pitpat's people, particularly Lauren, Laura and Gaby were really helpful. I heartily recommend both the GPS tracker and the activity monitor that the second unit replaced. The data supplied by the units is really useful and helps us to monitor both our dogs' diets, besides, of course, locating them when necessary.

United Kingdom | 27 November 2024I have purchased the pitpat recently. The device is big and bulkier than that described on the website. Is constantly loosing signal and takes ages to load. Once the walk is completed there is no option to see the walk on the map. If my pet gets lost, i have to hope that there will be signal! I don’t recommend this device!

United Kingdom | 27 November 2024i am a long term user of tractive trackers and saved up for a long time to switch to pitpat (a considerable expense for two dogs) as i find tractives subscription pricing too much for my budget. i was super excited to receive them and cancelled my tractive sub as soon as a placed the order. i ordered direct from tractive and although the delivery was quick, the communication leading up to it was nonexistent. on opening i was struck by how flimsy the trackers looked in comparison to tractive. lightweight, which is good, but very cheap plastic. this gave me pause for thought as i considered how these cheap plastic boxes will stand up to years of my boisterous dogs (keep in mind that you would need to pay the whole sum of money again if this thing breaks) but i carried on excitedly anyway. disappointment no 2, i was really looking forward to being able to just place the tracker on the charging pad and that be it, as i find tractives magnetic charger really clunky to use. but no, as pitpat boxes are attached to the collar by a very stiff velcro strip which is threaded through two easily breakable plastic slots on the back, you have to remove the velcro strip from the tracker every time you need to charge it or it cannot make contact with the charging pad. still i was pleased with my purchase. then came the big issue. i live in a very rural area, this is the reason my dogs have trackers. escaping the safety of my garden in such a rural setting would mean that they could be lost in an area where they could travel miles without coming in to contact with a person who could help them return home or report sight of them, i believe it is an essential for your precious pet when you live or spend time somewhere like i do. unfortunately many rural areas have poor mobile phone coverage. the area directly where my house is located has no mobile phone coverage at all. with tractive, i entered my wifi details on setup and all the time that i am indoors their trackers connect to the wifi and go into a sleeping mode which stops them calling out for a mobile phone signal. as soon as they leave the area of wifi connection, the trackers start calling out for a mobile phone signal, which it always finds once we have moved into open land. what pitpat do not tell you up front is that their tracker has no wifi capability. this meant that the whole time we were indoors (most of the day), the trackers were constantly looking for a mobile phone signal. this meant that the battery that they claim lasts a week, was drained in 6hrs. to make it even worse unlike tractive their tracker has no on/off button so i couldn't even turn it off to retain battery power. the pitpat tacker takes a minimum of 5hrs to recharge. this was the point when i decided they had to be returned. if you live in a rural area or anywhere that has patchy phone signal, pitpat is not for you. my other observations are that in comparison to tractive, the app is very basic and is designed as a way to sell you extras, pitpat dog food, pipat pet insurance etc etc. the coverage in open areas was not as good as tractive. connecting to find your dog was slower than tractive. their technology is miles behind tractive. needless to say, i will be begrudging returning to my very expensive tractive subscription, safe in the knowledge that i will have 4 days battery charge, all be it from a very poorly designed ridiculously short charger cable and i will be able to find my dog should the worst happen. extra note, although they advertise no quibble returns, pitpat are not quick to return your money. if you want to try them, make sure you purchase via klarna in three interest free payments like i did, so you dont get stuck waiting for the return of the while amount if the tracker doesnt work out for you.

United Kingdom | 27 November 2024I got this for piece of mind when walking my whippet off-lead. I don’t love this product, the app is pretty basic and you have to always remember to ‘start a walk’ on the app in order to have instant access to tracking. It’s a bit annoying. If you don’t do that, it takes 2-5 minutes to connect to the GPS signal, but that time my dog could be miles away! Pretty disappointed and thinking about trying another brand
