Good communication via the website and emails regarding the purchase and delivery notifications. I found the programming reasonably easy to follow. It was straightforward in allowing a second person to be able to track our dog. I wasn't aware that I could only attach the tracker with a velcro strap that needs to be removed each time I try to charge it. I would have liked the option to also be able to use a clip as I can see us having to get replacement velcro straps once they start to lose their effectiveness. The App on the phone is great for tracking if you live in a good coverage environment, but be prepared to wait a while to get a GPS signal. The rest of the App can be useful, but we turned off all the notifications as they were becoming quite annoying.

It is little slow but tolerable for my application. I have reduced the 'wake-up' interval by choosing 'Urgent' which may improve things. I was a little disappointed to find that it appears impossible on a walk to see a track line on the map, a record of the route, unless you pay a monthly subscription for a service that stores them. I only want the track line for the duration of the walk and not permanent storage but can't find a way of doing that.

DO NOT BUY. I purchased a PitPat tracker and it fell off during a walk. Unfortunately the coverage was useless so I could not track the tracker! But I thought I'd give it another go so I purchased a second tracker. Only one month later and it fell off again on a walk, and once again I could not track the tracker because of the coverage. PitPat charge a lot of money for a tracker that 1. Doesn't stay on the dog very well because of the tiniest bit of insecure velcro and 2. Has awful coverage and runs out of battery so quickly that by the time you get back from your walk and realise it's missing you're too late. The fact that you cannot track the tracker is ridiculous. I've since purchased a another brand of tracked which was a third of the price with basically the same monthly subscription fee and its worlds above a PitPat. They offer so many more features but the biggest thing is you can actually track the damn thing!! It's instant when you load it up so you're not spending time waiting for the coverage to load, you don't have to open the app before every walk and it tracks your dogs walk history. There are other options out there so my recommendation would be to avoid PitPat and look into something else. I tired contacting customer services through the PitPat enquiry form on their website twice but have yet to hear a response.

I started using on 22nd of Jan. I bought because my dog was starting group walks with a dog walker and I wanted that extra peace of mind. Have tried the tracking several times and each time it fails. So I am really not happy with this product from a location /find my dog aspect. I am kicking myself that i no longer have the original box as I would be sending back and wish I had read the reviews first. Now looking at alternatives EDIT 13/2/25 after emailing with Lauren in customer service, I have better understood this product and have gotten it to work. So feeling much better about it

My dog likes to disappear in woods and bramble on walks. Pit pat has taken the worry of not be able to see her away, I can enjoy the walk knowing she’s just a few metres away! Great device. Love the updates and badges too.

Today my little 2 year old cockerpoo was out in the park with my husband who phoned me to say he had stolen another dogs ball and run off. Husbands phone had momentarily lost contact but I logged in on mine by which time his was up and running again. It turned out he had run outside the park and was heading towards a very busy crossroads. Thank goodness for Pit Pat otherwise we would have assumed he was in the bushes in the park. We have only had the tracker for just over a month and had a blip with network change. Customer service have been very helpful and there will always be limitations to coverage on any product. Today just proved that any coverage has got to be better than none especially if you have a young or unpredictable dog. I never needed a tracker with my last dog but already grateful that I purchased this Pit Pat.

Easy to set up, bought it for the gps tracker which works well so long as you have signal. It does take a bit of time to locate dog when you first ask it to search which can be a bit unsettling when our Lurcher has gone awol.

We've been using Pitpat for a week now. We have found that it is very reliable in tracking our border collie if we use the starting a walk feature, which tracks the dog throughout the walk. We live in a hilly rural area and the GPS signal is fairly weak but it is sufficient to track our dog. It does mean that we are charging the device every 3 days but that's not a problem as it can be charged overnight. It is reassuring to know that if our dog should get spooked by something when off lead we will know where he is.

PitPat gives us reassurance that we can track our Lurcher if he managed to escape the garden. The App is easy to use. Any queries are dealt with very quickly.

Excellent company. Very response to any issue you might have. For example, lost Pit Pat, replaced free of charge once a year, or needing new Velcros? sent out the same day.

Since posting my review (below) PitPat have contacted me and explained what I was doing wrong or rather how my expectation of its performance was wrong. A classic case of user error. Now I’m using it as was intended it is great. Good signal. Good coverage. Useful (free) sub-programs and long lasting battery. Love it. Buy it. And no monthly fee (unless you really want one…) Original review: Fast charging and easy to load and connect to iphone. Problems start when trying to connect pitpat to satellite. Even when 4G and 5G signals arrive at good to maximum strength in my phone the Pitpat unit tells me that it has failed to connect to a satellite. When it does work it works well but when it doesn’t connect it’s really just an expensive collar ornament. I’m happy to revise my opinion if I’m corrected but at the moment I obviously don’t understand how the unit is supposed to work or it only works sometimes.
