We took my solitaire 1.6 carat diamond ring in here and they told us it was a fake!! We knew it absolutely was not. We took it into their other shop in the city and they told us the same. The following week we sold it to another far more professional pawnbrokers who did far more diligent testing, confirmed it was what we said it was and have us a fair price. Not to be trusted in our experience.

I visited the Gateshead branch of this company.Got to say the nicest most helpful staff I've ever encountered.Great advice,very understanding,very helpful.Worth a visit if you need anything to do with jewelry,pawnbroking,currency exchange and loans.I got a great deal on a ring,was happy with the price and then the lady gave me an extra 20%off due to a sale being on.She didn't have to tell me that,most honest.i also left a ring on the table which they spotted on me leaving and returned to me.I now trust this shop to do the best they can for their customers,great prices,great quality and great service,staff.

My first time visiting the branch I had a good experience with a staff member called Maria However, upon my second visit I met with a different staff member who was quite rude. I had precious gem earrings set in 14k hallmarked gold and some 9k gold rings. She tested the earrings using a metal instrument then applied a liquid to them. As I was unfamiliar with this method I enquired what the liquid was and she snapped she just needs to test it. The result was inconclusive, she ran it past her manager who concluded the same - even though both earrings were clearly hallmarked which they admitted themselves but couldn’t tell me why it was inconclusive. The staff member serving was very abrupt throughout the whole exchange and behaved as though I was bothering her with my potential custom. I decided to take the items to the jewellery quarter in nearby Birmingham where the service is much more professional and don’t think I’ll be returning there again.

The watch I bought was in mint condition and had had a full Omega service four months ago. It had been reboxed and came postage free. One of the he best thing est 1897 do is measure the length of the bracelet. It is arguably the most important thing on the description.

Everything about the watch is as expected, minimal signs of wear and working very well. The only thing to detract from an, otherwise, perfect review is that that the watch is not self illuminating in the dark. Only a slight drawback, but it is one, nonetheless

Terrible first time experience I had with EST1897. Cancelled my order without any communication or little courtesy to at least inform me what the reason behind the blunder. Item was clearly in stock when I purchased it, I waited patiently for a week only to be disappointed in the end. I won't be spending my hard earned money to this online jewelry shop again, which is under H&T Pawnbrokers.
