The sewer hose had a hole in that was big enough to see before we even tried using it. Yuck. Come on guys. Basic stuff here. Supply a hose with no hole in it.

We rented an RV for a family trip to lay some family members to rest. We had several issues that were not addressed properly or fixed. The check engine light came on, the AC quit working, the refrigerator door fell off when we opened it to get something out 2 days into our trip. We stopped in Colorado Springs, which is a Cruise America location. I called them to report the issues. The gentlemen who I spoke with told me to not worry about the check engine light if nothing seemed wrong as they come on all the time. What??? I told him we needed the AC fixed as we had 6 people in the RV and some were elderly. He told me he would find a shop in an hour and get me over to have it looked at. He never called us back. We had to go get multiple fans to at least move air since it was almost 100 degrees outside. And with the refrigerator door missing, we had to go buy coolers and ice to keep our food fresh. The trip lasted 6 days like this. It would have been nice if someone would have called us back and fixed our issues or swapped us out another RV. Cruise America really dropped the ball on this one. I seriously doubt I will be renting an RV from them again.

My son went to empty the gray water tank for using it to wash the dishes and he accidentally opened the drain for the black tank and it blew all over him. Now, what was upsetting about that, is they NEVER even used the toilet. So that means that whomever rented the RV before him used it and it was NEVER cleaned. Very upsetting.

Great experience. First time RV rental

It was a great experience renting the RV with Cruise America. I had some minor issues with the vehicle but nothing that ruin our beautiful trip to Banff.

Wonderful experience.

Riding in the RV was so uncomfortable: it was like a tin can on wheels with no shocks. It was exhausting. The instruction manual, especially instructions on how to dump waste could be more detailed with labeled instruction on the outlet area. Also the over head air conditioner is either on full blast or extreme full blast, so sleeping at night in comfort is not possible. For the refrigerator to keep things cool, you have to keep the generator on almost constantly. Gas is expensive and the RV rental with all the added fees was ludicrous. I will never rent an RV ever again.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our reservation due to unforeseen circumstances. Your representative Jose was professional, kind, and helpful. He graciously offered the possibility of changing the date as an option. We assured him we will definitely try again at a later date to book a trip with Cruise America.

We had a great trip. Everything was great, but the RV could’ve been a little bit newer or cleaner on the exterior but overall I’m not complaining. Would rent again in the future.

Overall everyone was very helpful and answered all our questions. We have an incident with one of the water hoses in the unit and they were able to get us in to get it fixed the next day and it was fixed quickly so we could continue on our trip

Great service!

I tried to cancel my reservation and realized almost a year later that it was not canceled. I have a record of the email sent requesting the cancelation. The reservation is not for another 3 weeks and they won’t give me my deposit back.

The RV was very nice. The check out and check in were easy. The rate was fair.

This was my first RV renting experience and it didn’t turn out as expected. We rented RV on Wednesday morning and it was fast and easy. The agent went over the details with patience and answered all the queries. Only after driving the RV from the rental center I realized that the unit had 118k miles on it and was too old to support mobile charging from the dashboard. The generator had to be turned on from outside always and inside switch did not work. On the 2nd day there was check engine sign while we were on the remote desert area with no mobile signal. After driving for 6 miles we were able to talk to the representative who said that we could drive RV as long as the engine light is not blinking. For the rest of the 3 days the light was on and kept us under stress that engine might break down on the road middle of nowhere. Right on the day of return the water under the sink started leaking. While returning the RV the agent understood the experience we underwent and decided to reimburse $200. But she misreported our generator usage and added additional $50 charge which I realized later during the day. Next day when I contacted them, they told me to email them at the corporate id as the file has been closed already and nothing can be done about the error on their part. While the staff was great at handling many of the problems I faced, I strongly recommend against renting RV from them as they are old RVs that could fail anytime during the trip. Rather than relaxing during the trip, I was under constant stress that the RV might break down, totally ruining my vacation.
