United States | 01 August 2023The RV we were rented was unsafe. The current policies and turn around in rentals do not allow for proper maintenance. The mirror on the passenger kept moving while driving, so the driver could not see. The AC in the back did not work at all, and it was almost 100 degrees the first day we were camping. The shower did not drain. It needed an oil change, the tire pressure for the back tires was low, so the gas mileage was worse than usual. We have no expectation that a rental vehicle will be in pristine condition, but the mirror moving so the driver could not see, and the AC not working creates unsafe conditions. Give your staff the proper time between rentals to maintain the vehicles.

United States | 01 August 2023I like the service when we picked it up. However, in kitchen set, lot of pieces were missing and was told to buy any missing thing, keep receipt and will reimburse it, which we did feel lack of attention! We bought few stuff and never bother to submit for reimbursement. Price for Kitchen and linens were higher than expected. While in motion, unit was making so much raddling and noises that we could not figure it out.

NATALIE BRODA
United States | 01 August 2023I want to start off by saying the staff that work at the Falls City Trading Post Cruise America in Washington are kind people, and that this is not their fault. They are just employees doing their job for a national company. We appreciate their help at the tail-end of what was a horrific experience with Cruise America. We had a 7-person RV booked for 6-months to visit The Gorge in Washington. The entire reason we booked an RV was for the generator, to refrigerate food and use AC in 100 degree, dangerous heat. Upon pick-up, the generator worked fine. We had two people in our RV that KNOW RV's, have lived in them and traveled in the country in them. Two and a half hours later upon arrival at the Gorge, we go to start up the generator and it won't crank. We spend 45-minutes trying to figure out why before calling the Cruise America national hotline. The hotline worker walked our RV expert through diagnosing the generator, only to tell us it needed to be serviced in order to work. Again, this is less than three hours after pick-up, when it worked just fine. We cannot leave the Gorge, there is no re-entry. Their only solution was for us to drive 2.5-hours away for service. When we asked to be connected with a mechanic, or someone at Cruise America who could help diagnosis the issue further (because we couldn't leave) the hotline representative took an exasperated and annoyed tone with us, talked down to us, and tried to make us feel like it was our fault that we couldn't leave for service. We are very understanding people who have all worked in the service industry at some point, everyone has bad days, but this was completely unacceptable. We took hours of our meaningful (and expensive) vacation to be on the phone in 100 degree heat trying to figure this out, and were met in the end with an attitude. Eventually, we just gave up, what more could we do? Fast forward that night, about 11:30 p.m. when it had completely cooled down, we were able to get the generator running (even though the generator itself was still blinking with 'Service Required' lights). To be very frank, it doesn't matter if the generator was too hot the first day, as we could never get it back on after that night (even at night), and lost HUNDREDS of dollars worth of food. The only blame I lay with the Falls City location is that -- If they knew the generator might not work in extreme heat, that should have been made explicitly known. Everyone at that location knows exactly what the Gorge is like. It was never mentioned in the Renters Orientation, in person by the Falls City employees, or by the hotline representative. Again, we are thankful the local employees worked with us to help compensate for some of the loses, but the monetary value means little to us when we had spent months looking forward to this vacation together and had planned our entire weekend around having access to air conditioning. Cruise America put us in a faulty RV and sent us out into the desert, and we are all lucky to have our health enough to a point where no one was in danger. Long story short, I will never rent from Cruise America again and will encourage others to look elsewhere as well.

United States | 31 July 2023None of the electrical outlets worked inside the RV. Running the generator or being plugged into shore power. The condition of the unit was beat up. Screws coming out of place. The rv swayed so much that if any of my children got up at night it was like waking up on a ship out at sea during a storm

United States | 31 July 2023The only complaint is not being open all day Saturday or partially on Sundays. Very good service and nice equipment.

TORIE QUISMUNDO
United States | 31 July 2023Windshield wipers old. It poured rain and we couldn’t see a thing. Rickety and clanged the whole time we drove as if it was about to fall apart. Waste water hose filthy from previous use. I saw the return inspection and very little was inspected. Refrigerator didn’t work. I called the reservation center. She guided me through it. It still didn’t work. We lost all our food we put in the fridge. We asked our camping neighbor and they showed us. They checked later and it still was not on so two times we lost food in the fridge. When we returned the RV the rental place showed us how to do it but I didn’t stay to check. Storage didn’t lock. The under storage was missing a lock. We couldn’t leave anything of value under. Soft spot on floor. We kept jumping over the spot. After experiencing some small issues we didn’t bother with any of the plumbing, cooking,or other cool things. We were just uncomfortable making the effort. Mirrors on top wiggle while you drive. The only useful mirrors were the bottom mirrors could be used. Service engine light came on in the first 100 miles. We called the rental place and they said don’t worry about it. It would go on and off the whole 1,000 miles. Broken outlet on dash. One of the two lighter ports for device charging on the dash wouldn’t work. No checking of tire pressure or diagnostics before 1,000 mile trip. I saw the vehicle get returned and given to us for our trip. I watched the videos to prepare and there was no tire chock blocks like the video shared.

United States | 31 July 2023We had a sudden family emergency that required us to cancel our trip after the 7 day cancellation period. The agent responding Matt Quintana made us feel so much better about what we were going through and returned our deposit while showing genuine compassion and easing the burden we had felt. We have never rented an RV before but will continue to trust CruiseAmerica to make our first experience a great one very soon. He made us feel like we were not just another number, but like family. We need more people like Matt who make the world a better place.

United States | 31 July 2023Overall a good trip however my kids were looking forward to sleeping in the bunk above the cab unfortunately due to a lack of safety equipment my daughter had to sleep on the bed that is the table. Not very comfortable. Front windshield privacy cover was unable to hang properly therefore did not provide any privacy. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided and no holding tank tabs to help with waste breakdown. When pumped out indicators showed as though the tank was half full but it was not.
