We are building a new house and wanted to be able to compare floor colours with the rest of our colour scheme. Generous size samples were sent to us very quickly without question. Still not sure which colour we will use, but have narrowed it down to 2.

Lovely flooring. I choose the warm brushed oak in Van Gough for the kitchen. It looks stunning with the pale grey units. Easy to clean, quiet and my dog doesn’t slip on it. It’s not cold on your feet either. Very pleased.

Grey coloured floor looked really scratched within months of being fitted. Was told it was the light and colour and a busy house hold. No where on the box did it state not fit for every day use. Had a 3rd party come and coat the floor (after I had to empty down stairs of my house) and the floor looked okay for a few months but it got scratched again. Please see attached photo - it is very telling of the marks and scuff, very hard to photo but it looks bad on the photo but in real life its even worse and over every of the 100's of tiles. So had a follow up visit where I was told it would get resolved. 4 months on after repeated follow up emails I’m yet to hear back from the flooring repair company or Karndean on the issue. I now find my self nit picking at the kids and arguments starting every time they drag something over the floor like a dinning room chair or their feet - shouldn’t have to be this way! Avoid at all costs! 18 months in I've just been told by Karndean they class my issues as accidental damage and they've basically told me I shouldn't be walking on the product. It took an email to "talk to us" per the response from owner to finally be told they will do nothing about my issue and that's now £6k down the drain. AVOID KARNDEAN AT ALL COSTS!!!!

You need to sell online. I needed 3 boxes but had to do 25 mile round trip to get them. Sell on Amazon

I had 70 sq metres of Karndean Van Gogh Distressed Oak laid in May 2023. It looks shabby and marked where the printed pattern is, as though it is constantly dirty. The bevel is almost non existent. There is a blue hue to the lighter colours, almost a fluorescent colour, and when light shines on the floor it it looks like you have never washed the floor ... there are marks and dull spots everywhere. When friends come down, they can see at first hand the Karndean laid and are pleased that they won't be seduced into buying Karndean, who falsely markets itself as a premium product. This is a real life example, not one of the boards in the shop that are constructed to the highest visual standards possible. I contacted Karndean about the lack of bevel and the colour issue. They duely sent out an expert. I learnt something during the visit in that a microbevel is almost non existent to the eye, so if you want to see lines don't have microbevel. The expert then took photos of the product and I duly received a "nothing wrong with it " email. When I saw the photos attached to the email, they were not a true representation of the colour of the flooring ... how could it be when it was taken on by the expert on his phone? If I take the same photo the colours are different again. Since then I have contacted Karndean twice but have been ignored. I am really disappointed and now that the sun is shining can see what other Karndean customer's claim, the finish is a matt, marked mess. So in summary this is what I am hoping to help you with: Beware of buying any Karndean, unless you can see a large example with natural daylight. Avoid patterns as this show up as scuff marks. Beware that a microbevel is almost invisible, so the installation will give the look of rolls of lino. Beware of the colour issue on the Van Gogh Distressed Oak VGW82T and ask to see the expert's photos before leaving as at this point you can ensure the pictures are true to life. Be ready to be ignored once Karndean have ticked the box of handling your concerns, even though the issue is not resolved and a new concern has been raised. In summary, this is only the second negative review I have written. I felt obligated to do so as I am so disappointed with the product. I wish I could have read this review before buying as it would have saved a lot of anxiety and tears. I am embarrassed when people come over but at least I know that they will not consider purchasing Karndean products. 27/06/23 Thank you Chloe. I had no hesitation in choosing Karndean for my new flooring after having it in my previous home . After looking at numerous samples from many companies , I came back to my first choice of karndean honey limed oak and it looks absolutely fantastic.I knew from my past experience that Karndean only reccommend the best fitters and I was not disappointed.

If I could give zero stars I would. I purchased longplank in 2022. Immediately there were gaps everywhere, and when I wipe the floor with a cloth and water, it appears some kind of coating or something that appears to be the same color as the floor comes off. The floor never ever looks clean, it looks old and scuffed. We filed a claim, and after 14 months of waiting for their factory tests , we were told it was our installers fault. He came and glued down the floor so it took care of that problem but the floor continues to look horrible. It is embarrassing, especially after spending $10k. To make matters worse, Karndean won’t help. They just point fingers and blame. They won’t come look at my floor , they told me I had bad housekeeping, and if I want to speak about it I have to file a brand new claim. Just last week I noticed warping. Now I have to continue to go through a long process of trying to resolve it It is so unfair and frustrating. I will file a class action lawsuit if I’m able.

Re laid the area in front of bi fold doors with the palio rigid for the second time, left a gap 3 x bigger than recommended all around the flooring and the joints are lifting again the joints are opening and it looks terrible, where do I go from here ?

Great experience from purchase to installation Quality product

Sadly we were sold Karndean for our house - we are very unhappy as it’s scratched all over so quickly. I had not looked on here until we had the problem but would definitely not recommend - we are awaiting a solution.
