Update 06/20 one star now be warned I spoke to Karndean customer service as requested and sent them pictures they said it could be repaired using there cleaning products, which they sent for free made no difference to the marks and still scratches to easy. Buying this floor was a massive mistake and the biggest waste of money I have wasted, I would never recommend it. You are better off buying good laminate which will work out cheaper and last longer. Old Review Just had Karndean floor fitted Aran oak looks really nice but it’s not fit for a busy house. Had a sample of the flooring before we brought it and it was really nice and didn’t scratch after a number of times with sharp objects. But the actual flooring is another question it scratch’s fair to easy. After one week down we have several scratch’s from normal wear and tear. Basically I would not recommend it and would say it’s not hard wearing.

We installed Karndean, impressed by the marketing as a durable and long lasting alternative. Placed in an extension with bi fold doors. Nowhere on the website does it suggest this is a bad idea, ours faded in 10 months, Karndean were quick to deny this, eventually attended and were not interested in putting this right. Their 'report' was not a report at all. Don't get this product, it isn't durable if near a window. Good for a cellar or dark room I suppose?

I have Karndean flooring throughout my house. Looks good at first however soon marks. I contacted Karndean 8 months after purchasing the flooring complaining of marks/ peeling and lifting in the flooring. Only to be told by Karndean this was to be expected. I would not recommend Karndean flooring at all very poor quality high price tag (I spent £6k with them). I’ve had the flooring for two years and now needs replacing. Complete waste of money!

This review is based on the Karndean Opus Mico SP211 Vinyl Flooring. The flooring began to get marks and scratch's within 48 hours and now every tile is covered in marks in less than 6 months. These marks range from severe to minor. When the first marks started to appear, there had been no accidents and nothing heavy had been moved across it, except the chairs. Any reasonable person would expect the “tough” flooring to be able to resist the simple everyday movement of a chair when sitting at the dinner table. Used the refresh kit after 2 months (despite recommendation of every 6 months) , but made little difference Karndean came out and inspected the floor, found that we followed all the maintenance advice, that the floor did have marks/scratch's , but this was down to "accidental damage" Had these marks appeared in an isolated incident, or several years later, I would accept the “accidental damage” or “wear and tear” argument, however I do not accept the quality of this product in the time frame it has been installed. I even sent a tile of to be inspected by Karndean at my cost, but was told there was nothing wrong with it. An Independent inspection also confirmed that virtually every tile was marked (Hasn't even been down close to a year) You may get a really good Karndean floor, but for whatever reason, the Opus Mico SP211 is awful and I would not recommend it.

Quite frankly one of the worst products I have come across. I was recommended to Karen dean via my father in law who had used the company in the past. Despite all of the guarantees with the product, the customer service was poor with everyone attempting to wipe their hands clean when issues arise. Around 1.5 years after the product was fitted (I have the floor upstairs and downstairs) the corners began to peel. I eventually received a report from karndean confirming it could be a number of 5-7 factors but failed to provide any assistance or guidance. I was quite frankly not expecting anything to go wrong with the product so soon. Any issues and karndean are not interested. Both I and my father in law have kept away from the product and would strongly encourage others to avoid !!!!!

We were so happy with the looselay tiles in our bathroom that when we had a new Kitchen fitted we knew we wanted the exact same tiles laid in there. When we saw the end result it was nothing like the bathroom the colours were completely different, on contacting Karndean and sending pictures of both rooms they came back with it was within the bounds of the product to be so varied. So I can only say it doesn't matter if you get a small sample or a full size tile or like us have a full room done with it there is no consistency with their product beware

This company is amazing. We were advised by our kitchen fitter to have a look at Karndean flooring as an alternative to tiles and after a bit of googling, we decided to visit the factory showroom in Evesham. The staff there were so welcoming and the displays of all of the different styles, materials and colours of flooring on show is staggering. We spent about three hours looking at different flooring, changing our mind several times before narrowing it down to two alternatives. One of the assistants then very kindly got several sample tiles of the two we had chosen and laid them out on show tables so that we could see how they would look on the floor. We were then given the samples to take home and try them in our kitchen. There was never any pressure from any of the showroom staff at any time, just the occasional smile and offer of assistance if we looked like we needed it. (and lots of offers of tea and coffee) Karndean do not supply direct to the public, but we were given details of local retailers to where we lived by the showroom staff, as well as a price for the flooring we needed. (The previous review complained of a re-stocking charge from Karndean but I think they must mean from the retailer who supplied them with the tiles) The flooring has been down about four months now and still looks as good as new. It is much warmer than actual stone tiles to walk on and certainly seems very hard wearing. It is very easy to clean and even though I have dropped a bowl of soup on it already, there are no marks or scratches visable. Our fitter said that the flooring is much easier to lay than conventional tiles and it cost less too. Highly recommended.

READ BEFORE BUYING We bought Karndean tiles after receiving a sample. The tiles supplied didn't all look like the sample. I was then told to view again the online photo of a tiled floor (which to me didn't accurately show the contrast of the tiles as they are in reality, as we all know, online photos often don't easily replicate colours etc). There were basically 3 different tiles in the box, one like the sample, one with stripes across and one with light/ dark shading. It wasn't the look I wanted at all, I liked the sample but not the 2 variation tiles which came with it. KARNDEAN WANTED £120 TO PUT THE 5 BOXES OF TILES BACK IN STOCK! On challenging, they said £100. I've never faced such an extortionate restocking charge. Most purchases can be returned without penalty these days or with just return carriage costs (especially in the circumstances). So before you buy Karndean tiles, it's worth making sure the tiles will be as per the sample, otherwise, like me, you will be well out of pocket.
