We are very disappointed with our Kardean flooring we’ve had it down for just over two years, the spacing bits are shrinking leaving large gaps and some loose pieces due to the shrinkage, it was very expensive and already looks shabby. I would be very grateful if Kardean themselves could come here to see this floor.

We had karndean laid in large open plan living room with access to garden in 2016. For us it’s proven to be worth every penny. We used recommended fitters. We clean it roughly monthly and it still looks great. A couple of scratches which we haven’t yet tried the refresh on. Ours has a 35 year guarantee hopefully will see us out !!

We had Kardean fitted throughout the kitchen and living room, we wanted what we thought was the best in our new home as we dont plan to move again sorry to say so far we are very disappointed and if I could afford it I would have it replaced. It never looks clean and has scratched very easily. We had a very cheap laminate in our old house it was down for 18 years and not a mark on it when we sold.

We have Karndean flooring in the kitchen and conservatory. It has been down for three years and it looks shabby and dirty even after washing with the 'official' cleaning products. It was expensive to buy and is expensive to clean. It takes ages to wash and the efforts are worthless. We will be replacing the flooring next year and will not be sorry to see it go.

Although the Karndean floor has been down a while it certainly isn’t scratch fee and now like a previous review we are getting areas of the beige flooring turning a blue green colour. Nothing seems to clean this away and the entire floor space now looks ridiculous. Big area so cost a small fortune to purchase and fit .

We recently had our kitchen diner completely refurbished and was recommended kardean floor tiles, as we have 2 dogs we needed something pretty hard wearing. It is advertised as durable and easy to clean. Although it wasn’t cheap we thought it best to pay more for a, what we thought would be, better quality product. Initially we were impressed with the floor, it looked great when we first had it done. However, after less than a week, we already began to notice scratches and dents on the tiles. We have now had the flooring for 2 months and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, there’s a lot of scratches and I wouldn’t say it was particularly easy to clean. I would expect a lot better quality for the price we paid!

We bought in excess of 45M2 of (mid to high range) Karndean, we initially loved it but after a month or so began to notice how poor quality it actually is. When we heard the “jargon“ about it being scratch resistant and easy to clean, so on so forth. We thought it would be an excellent choice so went ahead and ordered it, the floor looked amazing when it initially went down, however after a month or two we started to notice the floor had scratches in it some alarmingly deep and also had divots in it when furniture has been placed web though it had been placed on the pads provided. The floor never really looked clean, smears and other marks started to appear even after mopping with karndean products. The floor has been down nearly 2 years now but looks as though it’s been down in my opinion for about 15 years. I’m terrified what it would look like if we had children. Over all we are highly disappointed with karndean flooring and feel slightly robbed as it isn’t by any means a budget product. We bought our first house and totally renovated it and the karndean floor really lets it down. I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. It’s very sad as we wear told great things about this floor and we were so excited to have it. Obviously this is our opinion and I’m sure some people love it, however we have had a terrible experience and knowing what we now know had something different or better quality.

We purchased the flooring as we had read how hard wearing it is and with a toddler this was important for us. We have been careful with all of our furniture and have pads on the bottom to prevent scratches. Even though we have been careful our floor is covered with scratches! This is from my child playing with her toys and she is not rough with them at all. Very disappointed given the price tag. Would not recommend for other families.

We bought Karndean expecting good quality and durability, as it costs more than most. We were pleased with the look and the quality of the fitting. We are, however very disappointed how, a few years on, it has discoloured. Where it is near a french window - but NOT in strong sunlight - the original light beige is turning a nasty blueish tone. This is certainly not what we expected for the price. I wish i had paid less for bog standard vinyl, or more. I would not buy Karndean again and have advised friends against buying it.

Karndean knight tile opus urbus fitted in our new kitchen diner, purchased because sold as a hard wearing, industrial strength product, how disappointed are we. It been down just two years and I would change it if I could afford to. It is covered in scratches, dents, it marks so easily and never looks clean. We are a family of three adults who wear no shoes in the house. Our supplier came out a year ago to have a look, after numerous chasing never responded, followed this up again this year as gotten worse, he is supposed to be refresh cleaning, not sure what this will do?? ... after chasing this, told to bare with him as no one available currently. It upsets me so much as so expensive and it’s not worth the hype.

Very pleased with flooring. Had kitchen and conservatory done in Nov 19 and continue to be pleased with results. Based on that we ordered lounge flooring and whilst only just fitted we are very pleased with the final result. Can only write as I see, but this product is very good and, when fitted properly, is suitable for purpose.

I'm so glad to see other unsatisfied customers reviews!! I bought my Karndean flooring from an independent and a few months after it was put down I contacted him regarding gaps he in turn sent out a fitter who filled in the gaps with a pencil! As it has a lifetime guarantee I contacted him again a few months later as I still was not happy and was advised that there was only 1 rep for the whole of Ireland and he would be in touch! After a number of calls to customer services the rep did call at my home and advised that he would complete a report and I would hear in due course! I have text him 3 times and am still waiting on a reply! I'm afraid to say that customer service is appalling and if you live in Ireland North or South and have a problem with your floor don't be in a rush for a resolution!! :) if ever!!!

Hated it a week after it was put down. I was advised to put floor protectors on my furniture. Which I did but still moving a dining chair scratches the floor if a tiny bit of dirt etc happens to be on the floor. My Mum came around with her dog once and the floor is all scratched from where she excitedly ran in. I absolutely hate the flooring and unfortunately it’s put me of ever even considering anything like it again. My flooring appears to have blisters where the top coating of the plank has bubbled in places and raised hard lumps in others. This type of flooring to me is only good enough for people who do not have children or pets. I’ve looked after the floor as advised, the karndean clean and the remove and refresh every 6 months. Save your money and either buy more expensive hardwood or tiles, or go cheaper so you do not feel as disheartened as I am.

We put Karndean vinyl flooring in our new home because we wanted the look of wood but something that would be easier to take care of. We were assured that these floors were scratch resistant, waterproof and easy to clean. We have been in our home for 1 week and the floors look like they need to be replaced. There are scuffs and scratches everywhere. The floor has water marks that won’t come out and there are a few places where the planks are coming up. I even called Karndean to see what I could do to have it fixed or replaced and they said they couldn’t help me I would have to call a local retailer. I never recommend Karndean flooring to anyone.

We recently had karndean fitted in our new extension and kitchen, we paid extra thinking this flooring would be more durable then other manufacturers and last a long time. After four months the flooring is now badly scratched with just every day use. We were going to get the rest of the house done but will now be looking for an alternative.

Paid my installer £3.5k to supply and install approx 45sq meters of lime washed oak knight tiles at the end of September 2019. Within 2 weeks I noticed lifting, scratching and gaps appearing. Although I have furniture pads on everything and been using the karndean floor cleaner. June 2020 - Updated list of things that scratch this flooring, if any of this applies to you then do not get this flooring! Things that scratch it include: - the washing airer being stood on it - the bin (£100 Brabantia bin with protective feet) - pram wheels - highchair feet (With me constantly sticking the protective feet on it) - cereal being dropped and stepped on by the kids before being able to sweep it up or me not seeing it until later - kids cars being pushed over it - Cat biscuits, dropped when filling bowls and stepped on ! I contacted the fitter who agreed to come back but never showed, contacted karndean with photos who said was wear and tear and fitting problems. Wear and tear... I was told this floor was suitable for commercial use, how can it mark with two toddlers running about on it and me in my slippers !! Not durable at all. The gaps are becoming worse as the months go on, could be shrinkage as in our open plan kitchen, dining, living space with the sun all day but was never advised by karndean that this cannot be in sunny spots, I’ve since read this somewhere online. Floor looks rubbish now and wished I never had it. So karndean have refused to send anyone out to have a look, said I need to contact some independent flooring advisory service and pay for them to come out myself. So stuck in the middle of all parties and nobody willing to come and look or resolve. This lifetime warranty that is mentioned everywhere is not worth having and this is what we are paying the premium for so what’s the point ! Scared to wash it incase get water in the gaps and make it worse, actual nightmare ! Have no idea how this is going to be resolved as nobody is willing to help me and no money left now to have a new floor. Avoid at all costs !!!! You will regret it ! Karndean have contacted me and advise with send someone to have a look after covid lockdown restrictions are lifted.

I ordered 5 flooring samples on 23rd December 2019 at my cost. On the 27th December I received 4 of the 5 samples I'd paid for - no communication at all stating where the 5th sample was, so I was forced to contact them to find out where it was. I was then told on the 27th Dec 2019 that they were out of stock of samples and this would be sent out on the 9th Jan 2020 and that they would send me an e-mail when this was sent out. Fast forward almost 2 months later and I had still had no sample and had zero communication from them - what a surprise. I contacted them again to be told that they had allegedly shipped this order, despite me having received nothing. They again said they were out of stock of samples......

Although we loved our Karndean floor, we were horrified when several boards began to lift. Someone from Karndean came and inspected the floor and then sent us a report. As other reviewers have said, the report denied all responsibility and recommended that we have a ‘thorough inspection’ before having any remedial work done. Basically we have been left high and dry by Karndean. It seems from other reviews that they never feel the necessity to take any responsibility or offer disappointed customers any recompense. So they are good on selling but their customer service is very poor. There was no goodwill on their part so there will certainly be no more recommendations on my part. Customer service is very important - mere words are not enough. We will never have another Karndean floor.
