Absolutely rubbish!! Was quoted a price on the phone, called back later to instruct them to proceed, firstly we were told 2 seperate solicitors were needed, had a call from 1 was getting it all moving, so we thought, then they called back next day to say Homeward Legal had now asked them to act on the other parties behalf so couldn't deal with us, no call from homeward to explain this, I had to call them, they then assigned us to another solicitor, then even though paperwork previously was correct, they sent it with the names and addresses mixed between the 2 parties, another call to again rectify this, then was told the solicitor charging £500 extra for additional checks, when asked why they didn't anticipate this as they are supposed to be the professionals and actually know this, I was told, how do you expect us to know this??? Seriously its your job!!!! Then after numerous calls made made by me and numerous promises of call backs which never happened, I asked them to check the quote to make there wasn't going to be any additional costs, was then told another £500!!!! I finally spoke to someone who SEEMED to know what they were saying and she promised to listen to all the calls and ring me back the next day, I asked if we could just cancel and geta refund and was told NO AS WE Were OUTSIDE THE 14 DAY CANCELLATION, she promised to call me back the next day, She never called, while I was checking my paperwork I noticed that we had instructed them on the 8th Feb, and the day I asked to cancel was 19th, so we were within the 14 days, another Lie, as I didn't receive I call back, I waited till. 5-30 and called them again, it was all apologies but by now they mean nothing, I asked for a refund as I was within 14 days, it was accepted instantly and said would be processed, no arguments, I think the calls were listened too and they heard all the lies I had been told, BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE DECENCY TO CALL TO EXPLAIN OR AT THE LEAST APOLOGISE! will wait and see if I get the refund as I don't believe a word I am told by this company, MY ADVICE IS AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! I have congenital heart defects and the stress this company have caused me has be immense UPDATE- because I have left this review finally got a callback, 1 day late mind you, telling me all my claims were wrong and asking me to remove this review, No I won't remove it, I will update once I receive the money in my account and I am sending all details to the Ombudsman as every word on here is correct, My response, there has been no mis communication, I was told on the phone earlier that the reason why the quote increased twice was because I didn't give enough information, I spoke to someone on the phone and gave as much info as I could, I am a member of the public who has come to who I thought was professionals, I told you the full facts asi know them, if you need more info then it is up to you as the professionals to ask for what you need, at no stage have I refused or said I didn't know anything, from now on I would rather discuss anything by email so I have a record, I suggest you listen to all the calls, and put yourself in the position of the customer, then email me with your view on all this thankyou STILL NO REFUND!!!! WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED!!!!!

I have used HL 3 or maybe 4 times now and i had no bother the first few times, none at all. This time i was recommended to use Taylor Rose in Bishops Stortford and they caused me a lot of grief with their incompetence. I complained to HL and they did take this up with the conveyancers, and to be fair to them they did everything in their power as far as i can see to sort this out for me. Their customer service manager Rachael King is a star, she really is a credit to the company, very honest and down to earth and very understanding even when i was fuming. I cant in all good faith leave anything other than a 5* review after Rachaels help. Dont get me wrong, i was going to leave a different review but i think this is fair. They have assured me that they do take action against these kind of solicitors and so my advice wold be that when using HL, you ask for several solicitors and the ndo a quick Google search to see if any of them dont have very good reviews and then you can take your pick. There were a couple fo things with HL - ie calls not returned, emails not answered but as i say, this was the only time out of all the times ive used them and i will use them again.

Rachel King has gone above and beyond, made me feel that she understood how I was feeling, in fact I felt like she had my back which brought my stress levels down tremendously. She always got back to me even out of her hours of work, answered my questions and let me let off steam until there was no steam left just calm. “Thank you Rachel “ if you hadn’t stepped in and took charge of the situation, chasing, emailing calling appointed solicitors I would not be celebrating today ;-) Homeward Legal you have a Diamond and an asset in your company someone who shows she cares by listening and reassuring with no fobbing off, or broken promises Rachel does what she say’s and get the job done which is a great part of customer services. So I think the company owes her some gratitude also as without her I would have taken my complaint much further. Rachel once again Thank You I see big things for you on the horizon and wish you well for the future. I would also like to pass on my gratitude to Angus for his assistance. “Hope rises like a phoenix from the ashes of shattered dreams. ... My friend recommended me to use In-Deed for my conveyancing matter during sale of my London flat. It was the best decision. They charge less than usual solicitors and does great job. I was very pleased with the conveyancing service In-deed provided, therefore, I went back again to use them again for my conveyancing matter during my house purchase this year. The whole process took only 6 weeks, really hassle-free service.

Think really carefully before trusting this company with something as important as the sale or purchase of your home. I was initially pleased with the communication from Best Value Conveyancing and thought they represented good value. They connected me with a solicitor and things seemed to be progressing. Unfortunately the solicitor they connected me with was uncommunicative, kept losing track of paperwork. Their behaviour ultimately led to the sale of my flat falling through. I have been trying to contact BVC for nearly a month to try to discuss the issue but have been ignored. I’m now working with a local solicitor who I instructed directly. I know that if something goes wrong this time I will be able to work with professionals who will help me make things right - unfortunately I can’t say that was my experience with this company.

We are very happy with service provided by Homeward Legal! Ben is very helpful and always patiently answer all our questions and dispel doubts! We had problem with first Solicitors not being on the platform of our Mortgage provider and Ben found us different solicitors in no time - actually we had new sols' before I even get a chance to call Ben. I got a quote online for about £750. Note that I did not get an email with the quote and now I under the impression I understand why. Within 15min I got a call. All very friendly. At the end of giving away all my personal data, I asked to confirm the price: about 1250. When he asked if that was alright, I said it was not alright because that was not what I had in my screen just in front of me. He LITERALLY hung up (or the call dropped, I guess...)
