I am really frustrated of your very poor services and I regret working with you, You have made commitments while selling to me your services, now while we are in the middle of the way and so far everything is going so wrong as follow: First of all I made it clear for you that time is very critical for me and I need to complete very fast. You assured me that if both me and the seller would use your services then: • the process would be so fast as needed • You will be in the middle between the solicitors • You will provide regular feedback and updates and will take the stress out from my side. • You own your searches company so results would come fast. But what actually happened: • The gentleman “ Charles” who used to call me every day to sell the service and assured me that he will always be there to support me, after I instructed and paid the money I didn’t hear his voice again, before I pay, my calls was directly transferred to him, after I paid he is always busy and never called me back and never helped. • Another gentleman “Joshua” when I complained to him that the seller solicitor is not replying to emails nor calls for more than a week (however it was said there is a commitment to reply within maximum 48 hours) Joshua said I will check and call you back after one hour, but ofcourse he disappeared till today, I called several times but every time he is either on another phone or on lunch break and regardless the many call back requests it is now over than one week and he still didn’t call back. • the searches came back in two weeks’ time and after my solicitor spent time in reviewing them and raising inquiries, the seller was surprised about the inquiries as it seemed that the searches are talking about different property not the one I am buying, after I spent a lot of time and efforts in investigating the matter I finally discovered that the search report is wrong and the search’s findings belong to a completely different property not the one to be sold. Now I officially raised a complaint and waiting to see their response and so far not sure how this is going to end.

Very friendly, knowledgeable and understood our needs. Very reasonable prices. Spoke to many law firms but Homeward Legal was the best.

Very competitive pricing and a slick experience

I moved solicitor since I wanted one near my house. They assured me the solicitor is near me. I only found about the location through postal address/phone calls like a month later. When I confronted Homeward Legal about this, they claimed to not know. Like really you say you’ve been working with them for years but didn’t know about the solicitor’s location. They referred me to Berlad and Graham, specifically Florence who is by far the worst solicitor. Doesn’t respond to emails, phone calls or voicemails. She responded on a few occasions and even then at like 4-5am and who on earth is supposed to responding to emails then which makes me question if she was even in the same country! She delayed my compeletion process by a further 4 weeks. She can’t spell names, she misspelt names on the actual exchanges of contract like seriously unbelievable that she claims to be a professional solicitor. I raised this with Homeward Legal and one two instances no one even bothered to call me back. Further to this she tried including additional costs which were never disclosed. I was forced to pay in the end since I had to complete the process. So don’t fall for the fixed fees or reliable nonesense!! In anycase, don’t waste time or money with these guys. Spend money with someone who’s more reputable.

I was told I had to pay £ 120 for their service but my bank account shows they have charged me £ 469. The receipt they have sent me is for £ 120 and I don't know why they took so much money away from my account. Lack of transparency makes me to regret to have chosen them. I am also fearing they can take more money out from my account as they have my bank details. I need to speak to my bank now as I am very concerned!

Despite a couple of hiccups that were nothing to do with Homeward Legal they were swift to assist and resolve the issues late on a Friday afternoon

I got a quick response, made it simple - and I got the help I needed.

Overall a good experience but was not informed that as a cash buyer I did not need to have searches done. This was pointed out by my solicitor but we were unable to cancel the searches although they were late in being ordered which caused problems with the exchange dates.

Having read lots of reviews I was fully aware Homeward is a broker - has its advantages and disadvantages. On the down side, you don't get a choice of swho you are appointed (Wilson& Berry in my case) but on the plus side, when I had to chase Wilson & Berry for being slow and not responding, I had Homeward to help prod them which was a useful thing and I can't fault Homeward for doing that promptly. Would be nice if Homeward followed other companies and setup online tracking and data submission to move with the times as I ended up filling out lots of questionnaires which could easily have been done online and sent to the lawyers. Would also have been useful if the pricing between Homeward's quote and the one from Wilson & Berry had matched wording and format as it made it hard to follow whether I was actually getting the same price. In the end I paid £1,400 compared to the £1,321 quoted for a 2-bed leashold flat transaction with no chain and it took just under 10wks, mostly due to Wilson & Berry passing the account between about 4 people due to having temps in to cover an absence. Update - I've reduced to 3-stars following initial posting as I've just received a bill from HMRC demanding the stamp duty, a fine and interest because it wasn't paid 30 days after completion. Absolute shambles from Wilson and Berry (who now have a 1-star review). If Homeward offer you them as a solicitor please reject and ask for another one!

The survey insurance cover that Homeward Legal provide in the event that the sale falls through is invaluable. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. They have been the one part of the process that has been stress free! The Solicitors that we are working with seem very professional also so far.

Kevin was excellent he explained everythjng so clearly and went over anything I wasn’t sure about. Taking a lot of the worry I had going into a scary part of my life. And while we where talking I came up with some questions which he was able to answer very knowledgeable and gave me great comfort to know if I take the next step I know where I shall be going too. So far, so good! Homeward Legal have passed our conveyancing onto one of their recommended solicitors and everything has been very straightforward so far. Joshua has been very helpful in answering my queries and I feel that I could come back to them if any issues arise further down the line. Quotes were all easy to understand and competitively priced.
