The response to my request was super quick and contact with the company has been very straightforward, with professional and informative staff on hand to guide one through the process. Also the extended availability is a great boon - it does help knowing a member of staff will be available to assist outside general office hours. I spent a long day on the phone trying to coordinate all the professionals required for getting both legal and financial stuff in order on my property. It was fantastic to be able to speak to a person after standard business hours (5pm) as the reality is that I was working myself to the close of business and it can be really difficult to sort this type of thing outside of "normal" working hours. Being able to chat to a person, definitely swayed me in favour of Homeward Legal. Would consider them for future legal services.

The fact that they work weekends and that the phone was answered promptly

Nothing wrong with Homeward legal as such but be warned they refer work to a truly dreadful outfit call PM Law and having not disclosed that fact during the quote phase and not disclosing it when I came to give them further details, I am not happy that I paid an initial sum, relatively small, but only then found out they referred to the same solicitors that had screwed things up for my transaction previously. There really needs to be some more transparency earlier in the process for all of these lead gen / referral businesses as they're wasting an awful lot of everyone's time generating business for bad solicitor companies like PM Law

Efficient team

Really impressed with how personable Mark was during our call last night. It's refreshing to not talk to a robot. I also really appreciate the office opening/ closing hours. For someone that struggles to find free time in the day, it takes the pressure off knowing I can call when I'm home in the evenings.

The quote process was really easy and everything is broken down so you can see all the cost's, nothing hidden. Also compare to local solicitor's much more competitive on price. Their hour's of work are great especially being able to get in contact during a weekend which is really handy when your busy at work yourself during the week.

All seemed good at the start, very good prices offered below other quotes received. Buyer beware though as once money exchanged hands I was partnered with PM property law, they have a colourful reputation on here, I would be interested if based on their reviews why homeward continue to send clients to them. It’s now been six months for a simple transfer of property and still no resolution. I’ve referred it to the ombudsman now. I’d advise to find a local firm and take the £100 or so hit difference, it’s worth it to avoid the time wasting and to better manage the accountability of the work. Update: since posting the above, homeward legal have been excellent and have pulled the rabbit out the hat. Very impressed by what they can do and ensured that the work progressed and kept me informed along the way. I remain of the same mind with the firm they placed me with, and homeward I hope take into account the poor reviews of them online.
