Despite the warning message telling me 'we are experiencing a high volume of calls' my call was answered within a minute. The very efficient staff member dealt with my query and was able to set up something I couldn't access online. 10/10 for customer service.

United Kingdom | 06 March 2024Found Tandem Bank via Martin Lewis MoneySavingExpert Was the best % rate at the time however some 6 months later they reduced their rate just at the same time Trading 212 introduced interest on cash held in account at a better rate and paid daily, no brainer really. App works well and once a verified account is added, seamless experience adding and removing money.

United Kingdom | 05 March 2024Access to funds possible without login security - USERS BEWARE I thought I was mistaken when I experienced this a few months ago but it happened again today and I video recorded it to be sure. I hadn't used the app for a month or two and it didn't offer me the biometric login, as usual. Instead, it had a warning comment, which I don't recall, and instead offered me to enter my phone number and it would send me a code via text, which it did. I gave the phone permission to copy the texted code and straightaway it opened my app into my account. THERE WAS NO PERSONAL SECURITY STEP OF ANY KIND. ANYONE IN POSSESSION OF MY PHONE COULD HAVE ACCESSED MY ACCOUNT! The most shocking thing is that upon calling Tandem straightway to explain their absence of security, and to close my account, the agent simply explained what should happen about some intervening stage to enter some other code (private to me, from account setup). I had to make the point several times that they had to raise this urgently but there was no such intention on the agent's mind until the third time of explaining. Tandem singularly and absolutely failed to grasp how dangerous their app is, under these circumstances. I don't care that most of the time (and in my case, today, straight after this free for all access), I logged back in and was presented with my fingerprint screen, as normal. Would you trust your savings to an app that can, even only occasionally, requires nothing more than the operator (finder/thief) of a mobile phone to enter a code that Tandem freely texts you, to give access to your money? I certainly will not. I have withdrawn my cash and WILL NEVER USE TANDEM AGAIN. I simply cannot believe how appalling this is that my money was so insecure and all they could do was tell me how they think it works! Ps I have a Samsung galaxy s20fe on latest android Reply to Tandem 08-Mar: CLEARLY SECURITY OF CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS IS NOT YOUR PRIORITY AS YOU WILL DISCOVER WHEN YOU LISTEN TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVE ON THE RECORDING OF MY CALL. EQUALLY CLEARLY , THE AGENT DID NOT RELAY THIS AFTER MY CALL. IT TOOK THIS REVIEW TO GET YOU TO TAKE ACTION. SHAME , SHAME SHAME ON TANDEM BANK ! i no longer care what you do as you will not be doing it with my money.

France | 05 March 2024I have lost all confidence in the app. It never manages to do even simple transfers: The app gives me an error and tells me to try later. I am really worried to add more money in the savings account in case I can't get the money back when I need it. I will contact the helpdesk but what is the point to have an app if you need to troubleshoot everything?

United Kingdom | 04 March 2024Since logging a complaint about the poor quality of the vehicle I purchased via Tandem Car Finance, they have been obstructive and slow to reply. In order for them to carry out a Service Quality Complaint I need to fork out for a private investigation report, which will cost me £270, when I am already out of pocket £1,800 for the initial repair bill, only one month after collecting the new car.

United Kingdom | 01 March 2024Quite simply: Tandem value our house at 495k. Our house is worth 420k max... The won't allow myself and my partner to port the mortgage to a house that is worth 391k. We have the means to pay all fees and aren't borrowing any extra. Tandem refuse us to port. We have a 9 month old baby. My partner is alone for 13-15 hours a day as I have to travel 3 hours to and from work daily. I leave around 6am and get home most days between 8-9pm. It's costing around £700 in fuel costs and my partner fractured her femur so cannot go back to work after maternity and would barely cover childcare. Despite this all being explained to Tandem, despite us finding a house we can afford without ANY additional borrowing, they will not allow us to port the mortgage unless we find 52k to port the mortgage to a house we can afford... If you think you may wish to port your mortgage in the future. Avoid Tandem. They are literally forcing us back into debt by not allowing us to move so we can be together as a family. Honestly, the most depressing and stressful situation. Tandem could ruin out future by doing this and the worst thing is they don't even care. Why would you stop people moving when they aren't borrowing more money. Worst company I've ever encountered and will make sure everyone I speak to is aware of just how Tandem like to treat families... We have spoken to countless people now at Tandem and none of them want to help in anyway possible. Vile, rude, slow, no compromise at all, no help.. Please avoid this bank
