WE HAVE PURCHASED A NUMBER OF SUCH ITEMS FROM R-S AND AFTER SOME TIME (LESS THAN A YEAR) THEY ARE NO LONGER GOLD COLORED BUT RED, THE COLOR OF CUPROUS OXIDE (THE +1 OXIDATION OF COPPER) IS NOW THE COLOR OF THE "GOLD" PLATED JEWELERY. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW R-S HAS SUCH A GOOD REPUTATI0ON

I purchased an advertised 14k solid gold bracelet from Ross Simons on Amazon over two years ago and when it broke and went to get it repaired, I found that it was not 14K solid gold and could not get it repaired as it would not weld. I called them, sent back the bracelet for their inspection and they refuse(d) to make this right. I even called Amazon for help but due to the time period there was nothing that they could do.
