vor ein paar jahren habe ich auf etihad geschworen, aber in diesem jahr hatte ich auf hin und rückflug nach abu dhabi einen super schlecht service in der maschine

Held against our will for hours , and cash extortion. Myself and my wife are two Irish residents, we were returning to Ireland from a holiday in Philippines on the 28th jan. We arrived in the manilla airport early to collect our boarding passes , which we had paid over 3000 euro . After queueing for over an hour at approx 14:45 we reached the Etihad agent desk to collect our boarding pass and check our bags , our bags weight was a total of 82kgs and the agent asked if we wanted to check more bags as our bags were under the allowance by 18kgs ,as our allowance was 100kg (50kh each). Our flight was a 18:45. The Etihad agent asked us to move from the desk after he had check our bags in for our flight, but he did not hand over our boarding passes at this moment. He refused to give us our boarding passes and did not tell us why ,even after I asked for a reason many times. He sent us to another male waiting beside the airport rest rooms, at a little make shift desk. they refused us our boarding passed and the second male was demanding cash from us, I explained we were irish and didn't understand why we had to pay cash for our tickets. We were held against our will (arrested - kidnapping) for over 3 hours , untill we paid the cash for our boarding pass that these males were demanding.we were let go through the boarding gate eventually after a long detainment because we paid cash to the Etihad agent. We were extremely worried that we would miss the flight as the males kept telling us we were running out of time to make flight and it would be our fault and we would have to pay more cash. We were travelling all day and did not get a chance to eat food and drink or even given a chance to use the rest rooms as they were denying our boarding pass and had detained us until they receive some cash. I argued for hours over the right an Etihad agent had to extort cash from us and hold us and our boarding passes against our will. After all the damage , humiliation , stress and anxiety caused by Etihad . Myself and my wife went through the boarding gate and rushed to board the aircraft as fast as we could, we had no time to get food or use rest rooms ,both of us needed to use the toilet. As we were boarding the aircraft and we had been seated. I noticed My chair was broken and would not recline. I had the chair in front reclined into my face for over 10 hours and it was extremely uncomfortable. It was impossible for me to sleep or sit with any comfort ,which was causing me great back pain and headaches. My wife's entertainment screen was broken and we had asked two separate flight attendants to address the issue with her entertainment screen. They had fixed the picture but there was no sound on her entertainment system for over 10 hours. with no sound on the entertainment system and no support from attendings , this had caused my wife to be agitated and upset.again cause us great distress and making us uncomfortable and was not what we had paid for. I have never been so upset or stressed in all my life, this incident has ruined our holiday and even left me a phobia of flying , back pain and headaches , stress migraine and my wife has been upset with me for choosing Etihad. Myself and my wife are both traumatized by the entire incident and wanted Etihad to report this incident to the police, Etihad are not supporting us with our request , they are stalling and extending the investigation. we had reported the incident to Etihad and they are investigating the incident, for over a month now. Etihad stated that we should not have been held (kidnapped) for hours against our will and we should not have had any Cash extorted from us. They stated this was criminal behaviour by the Etihad agent. The broken chair and broken entertainment system for over 10 hours will be looked into as this is also unacceptable and not what we had paid for, which has caused us ,back pain , migraines and stress and anxiety. This incident has been reported to Etihad in January and Etihad have not resolved the incident which has completely humiliated and upset myself and my wife . This incident caused ,stress and anxiety in our marriage and life and ruined a once in a life time trip, leaving us with phobias of flying.it has caused us great damage , stress and anxiety,back pain and migraine and left us out of pocket for cost by the detainment and extortion.

Ich kann allen anderen Bewertungen hier nur zustimmen, ganz schlechter Kundenservice, schon beim einchecken reden Sie nicht mit einem, machen einen als Business Gast nicht auf die Lounge aufmerksam, kleben keinen Party Sticker und das Gepäck… Und bei der nun gerade passieren. Verspätung wird einfach gar nichts kommuniziert, denn Seitz von technischen Mängeln… Stattdessen werden fragende Passagiere nur angebleufft! Du bist einfach extrem unprofessionell

Davvero una compagnia aerea vergognosa. Il mio bagaglio è stato danneggiato durante uno dei loro voli (mi hanno ammaccato una parte della valigia) e dicono di non avere nessuna responsabilità perché si tratta di usura (quando chiaramente non è così). In generale, è una compagnia che non consiglio a nessuno (fanno pesare i bagagli a mano e se sono superiori ai 7kg ti fanno storie).

Rigtig god oplevelse med Etihad. Gode fly særlig på ruten Kbh - Abu Dhabi og flypersonale, der knokler for at gøre oplevelsen god. Særlig deres economy space er værd at betale for.

It never informed me that I need a transit visa for Abu Dhabi in order to get to Thailand, until they ask it on check in, forcing me to pay $800 on top for a emergency transit visa. Crooks!

Will Never Travel with them again. Garbage airline and Garbage service. Better to spend abit more and travel with Qatar or Emirates. I have booked a flight with transition time of 13 Hours and 30 Mins. It showed me all the flights eligible for Free Stopover. After booking, when I went to the Free Stopover page to book it, it said I couldn't. I called the helpline and they say that it is written in the policy guidelines that it is only applicable for staying more than 24 hours. Who the hell goes through the whole policies when booking a ticket. If this is so then why was the Free Stopover option shown and giving me options when I was booking my flights. I am traveling with an infant and can't change or cancel my flights and no one is helping.

Lamentablemente, tuve una experiencia decepcionante con Etihad. Tenía un viaje programado desde Kuala Lumpur a Bruselas, pero la última parte del trayecto consistía en un viaje en tren desde Munich a Bruselas (reserva gestionada por Etihad). Cometieron un error en la reserva del billete de tren, confirmado por ellos mismos. La única solución que me ofrecieron fue que comprara el billete por mi cuenta y luego presentara una reclamación a la compañía. Finalmente, eso fue lo que hice. Tuve que adquirir un billete de tren por mi cuenta, que en ese momento costaba 135 euros. Presenté la reclamación el mismo día de la compra. A pesar de haber pasado más de 4 meses, aún estoy esperando una respuesta por parte de Etihad. He llamado en numerosas ocasiones al servicio de atención al cliente, y siempre obtengo la misma respuesta: "La semana que viene le daremos una respuesta", la cual nunca llega.

Cancelled our flight, refused to provide a refund, refused to provide a credit on another booking. Simply took our money, cancelled the flight and kept the money. I highly recommend noone should travel with this airline.

After two months and using various avenues for complaint, I finally received a response from Etihad 'Customer Services' regarding the dire service provided by ther replacement charters from Wamos on the Abu Dhabi - Jakarta flights, which we were notified of just four days prior to departure. We paid premier league prices and received Vauxhall Conference service! The response was basically - you should have cancelled your booking with us and flown with another airline when notified by us that part of your itinerary had been changed! Cancel a flight and find another with four days' notice! Who are they kidding? It's almost impossible to get a refund out of Etihad... ...and the cost of replacement flights at such short notice would be prohibitive. If this is how Etihad treat their frequent flyers and business class passengers, what kind of service is provided elsewhere? AVOID FLYING ETIHAD!!!!!

Worst company ever! I have written to them numerous times re medical condition and they simply ignore your request! If we haven’t already paid over a £1000 for our tickets I’d never have travelled with them … avoid like plague

Customer Service is a total disaster. Misleading information. I did not know I needed a VISA for the country I was visiting (India) with a lay over in Abu Dhabi. They knew in advance. Instead of helping me change my ticket, let me buy another ticket from the final destination to be on transit, or at least let me make the first half of the trip to Abu Dhabi, they did not let me fly at all, and asked for 500 Euro to change that flight to another day or destination or even to make the 1st part of the flight I had paid. Just thieves trying to make money out of the clients' difficult situations. Worse than a low cost airline service with premium airline prices.

Me and my girlfriend flew first class from London to Abu Dhabi (layover) then going to Doha. Upon checking in the counter at London, the agent said she couldn't find our flight. After consulting with her supervisor (Melanie), they found that our Abu Dhabi-Doha flight has been moved. I confirmed with them because I did not receive an email update that they changed my schedule 1 day earlier. This is a huge hassle because we have already booked hotels and trip itineraries. We asked for them to fix this mistake by Etihad and Melanie said she couldn't do anything and I needed to call the call center number I can't believe this is how they treat First Class passengers. Even if we were just economy passengers, if its Etihads mistake for changing our flight without notice, then they should fix it immediately. I did my best to talk to Melanie (supervisor in LHR) but she kept on saying she was busy and needed to go. I felt so disrespected. Went to the lounge and the friendly Etihad lounge hostess (Joanna) listened to my problem and empathized with me. I felt heard, and she referred me to Samaya (gate supervisor/manager) in LHR. We then went to the gate and asked Sumaya to please fix this problem before our flight because we only have less than 2 hours layover in Abu Dhabi and won't have enough time to fix it. She said she couldn't do anything and I should talk to the Etihad desk in Abu Dhabi to fix it. I felt like the LHR people (Melanie & Samaya) were justs pointing fingers to other people and didn't want to take responsibility for this mistake. We then boarded our flight. We enjoyed the champagne, caviar and filet mignon. Chiara (our attendant) gave excellent service and Niel (supervisor) made sure we were well taken care of. Even though the seat was old and plane was old, we enjoyed the food and service. We landed in Abu Dhabi and hurriedly went to the transit desk as instructed by Samaya. The lady there (forgot to take her name) refused to help us and told us there's nothing she could do. She didn't even listen properly to our problem and just wanted to redirect us to the Etihad lounge so they can try to fix our problem. She was very rude. We then went to Etihad business class lounge and asked one of the gentlemen to help us, his first questions was "Are you guys business class passengers?" with a condescending tone (his name was Saghit or Sajhit) tall, Indian/Middle eastern guy with balding starting to show. We then went to the lounge supervisor which was Jitender. He listened carefully to our issue and apologized for the problems we are facing and also the attitude of the LHR agents. He then proceeded to fix the problem and now we finally have our correct schedule as we booked. I am highly disappointed in Etihad as this is rated as "one of the best" in the world but this customer service is unacceptable. I hope management or whoever reads this takes disciplinary action for the agents who did a poor job in handling this matter. Only Jitender was good and definitely deserves to be supervisor. I will be telling my friends about this horrible experience so they won't use Etihad in the future.

Ich bin über Abou Dhabi von Frankfurt nach Indien gereist. Der Check-in online war gut, Drop-off am Flughafen war äußerst schnell, der Transfer in Abou Dhabi sehr komfortabel. Der Flughafen ist äußerst modern, etwas teuer (Espresso 5 Euro), aber bei zwei Stunden Zwischenstopp muss man ja nicht kaufen. Ich habe vegane Optionen vorab über die App bestellt, die im Flieger zuerst ausgeliefert wurden. Insgesamt überhaupt keine Probleme, nettes bis äußerst nettes Personal. In jedem Fall fliege ich wieder mit ihnen.

It's a shame ! I booked a flight from Paris to Colombo and got 14 Hours stopover as usual in Etihad ( and quiet a lot of companies) i wanted to book my transit hotel because it should be included and available for at least a flight with a minimum of 10 Hours stopover but obviously the service doesn't work anymore. Tried to contact all services ( Chat, Phone and Mail ) and i got 3 differences answers, and some of their staff told me it should be okay during the January month... How it is possible to not offers this compare to the others compagnies even low cost do it ! Etihad used to be one of my favorite, but not anymore, i am very upset about the services. RUN AWAY !

4.30 flight from Riyadh to Abu Dhabi and I got to the airport at 2am as I required to buy luggage…my original flight cost around £100 (booked through booking.com 3 flights totalling £314….so assuming it’s around the £100 mark) At the airport for a 17.6kg bag they demanded $375 It was under $300 to book another flight on the same aircraft with a 30kg bag which they made me do…to add the bag while booking was 40% of the cost they wanted at the airport. Now I understand it’s going to cost…fair and reasonable £50, maybe £100 at a push but even that seems a little excessive considering the seat was only around £100. Profiteering at its worst…..I fly min 15 times a year and I’ll never use them again
