United Arab Emirates | 04 January 2024My family and I have only ever flown Etihad twice. We've lived in several different countries and have tried a lot of different airlines and can confidently say Etihad is one of the worst. The first time we were almost offloaded because they overbooked. Second time we were asked to pay for extra luggage TWICE since the first payment was considered only for the first leg of the trip where we transited even though it wasn't the final destination. Called customer service just for them to offer no solution and turn us away in a very rude, disrespectful manner. On top of this they also LOST the luggage we paid the extra baggage fees twice for. It's been a couple days and we still haven't gotten our luggage back. Customer service is unhelpful and rude, are very argumentative and almost just used as a front to turn you away since there isn't a solution for anything. Definitely never flying Etihad ever again so save your money and look somewhere else - you're better off riding a banana than this airline.

Ireland | 03 January 2024A late review. Had a difficult experience a little over a year ago that meant I almost couldn’t catch my flight. Etihad staff at Dublin airport went above and beyond to accomodate me. Flights were very comfortable and the food was ok.

I had a flight with a stop in India and since my second leg wasn’t booked with Etihad they wouldn’t allow me on the plane without a transfer visa. I’ve been traveling around the world my whole life and never had such an issue. On top of that they marked me and my friend as a no show which was not the case. We spent hours on the phone with customer service and got no compensation at all for this expensive trip. A number of other people had the same issue and didn’t allow them on the flight. o then realized that this must happen ever day with other customers and they get away with it. I would not ever use them again or recommend them to anyone.

United Kingdom | 01 January 2024Senior executives of Etihad should try to read the real feedback of over a thousands of passengers who cant all be wrong or have anything against Etihad - only most disappointed passengers bother to take up time and effort to voice their bad experience publically actually for the benefits of Etihad however when I pointed out such reviews one of their online customer service agent said every has something against Etihad hence they made up stories to complain about Etihad. Who has the spare time or anything else to do to complain instead praise?

They are the worst airline in the gulf...don't book with them. Volando en business class me rompieron la maleta en un vuelo de MCT-AUH. Thailand | 20 December 2023My booking reference: WT9PSF Nella prima tratta Roma-Abu Dhabi mi hanno cambiato un attimo prima di imbarcare i posti a sedere che avevo prenotato e pagato tre mesi in anticipo, cioè l’ultima fila dove esistevano solamente due sedili. I miei posti sono stati ceduti a persone che non avevano neanche pagato la prenotazione di qualsiasi posto. Nella seconda tratta Abu Dhabi-Phuket, al momento del check in in areoporto, pretendevano di farmi ripagare i posti prenotati e pagati tre mesi prima: fortunatamente avevo le ricevute della carta di credito. Mai più con Etihad.

United Kingdom | 20 December 2023I wish there was less than one star. Their offer of "Discover Abu Dhabi" is just a scam. I bought the transit ticket with one night package, paid extra for that and when arrived at Abu Dhabi airport I was told that they have no record of my booking. The staff was least helpful, it wasn't possible to see the manager as he was not 'available'. Very disappointed experience after a long flight. Sent to various counters with no end result. Very poor service. Ended up spending 18 hours at the airport, terrible experience.

Everything went super smoothly, booking, price is right, check-in is online, planes were on time, (so was I lol), changing in Abu Dhabi super easy and fast, food is super good, cabin personnel friendly and professional. Will certainly book again.

Gli addebiti sulla carta di credito sono presenti e non sono stati rimborsati. Impossibile parlare con servizio clienti, supporto imbarazzante. Ho già proceduto a fare denuncia a polizia postale per truffa e ho contattato striscia la notizia per smascherare la truffa.

Germany | 14 December 2023Unser im Dez 2022 gebuchter Flug für Sept 2023 wurde im Frühjahr gecancelt. Nach einigen anstrengenden und zeitaufwendigen Telefonaten mit der Hotline wurden wir umgebucht. Die bezahlten Sitzplatzreservierungen konnten aber nicht übertragen werden, haben also neue bezahlt. Wir sollten nach der Reise das Geld zurückfordern (knapp 200 €). Nach weiteren Telefonaten einen "case" aufgemacht, Bearbeitungszeit wurde mit 45 Tagen (!) angegeben. Danach weitere Telefonate und nun eine mail: keine Rückerstattung, Pech gehabt! Das Online-Portal für solche Fälle ist ein Witz, mein Fall zeigt seit Beginn "There are no records to display." Ach ja, und das der Hinflug (Zubringer nach FRA) 2 Stunden vor Abflug gecancelt wurde, alles umgebucht wurde und wir mit der Bahn nach FRA fahren mussten, war zwar kein Etihad (sondern LH) -Problem, aber es gab natürlich keinerlei Support oder gar eine Entschädigung. Schon krass, aber die können es sich ja offensichtlich leisten. Wegen knapp 200 Eus lohnt sich wohl kein Anwaltsbesuch. Update 18.12.2023: die aktuell rechts angegebene Mail-Adresse socialmedia at etihad.ae ist nicht aktiv. Automatische Antwort: "So that we can help you with your query straight away, get in touch with us on Facebook or Twitter @EtihadHelp". Nun ja, hab mich extra dafür bei Twitter angemeldet und tatsächlich kam nach einer Stunde eine Antwort, die relativ positiv klang. Mal schauen ...

United Kingdom | 12 December 2023Flew LHR KUL on 29/11/23. LHR AUH leg (7 hours) on A380 had comfortable seats but that's all. Lousy food and not much of it. No cabin service to speak of. No beverages served in between "meals" unless you paid. Grumpy, unsmiling cabin crew. AUH KUL leg on a B787 (7 hours) was a flight from hell Same lousy food and unsmiling, unwelcoming cabin crew. No cabin service. Screaming babies distributed throughout the cabin so no matter where you sat you couldn't sleep. Hard, narrow, uncomfortable seats with no support under thighs, a feature of every B787 Dreamliner (what a joke)I have travelled on. This airline reflects the contempt the Al Nahayan brothers have for ordinary people aka their fare paying customers. Disgusting airline.

Spain | 12 December 2023We had multiple issues with this sorry excuse for an airline during our recent trip. One issue that happened twice during our layover in the Abu Dhabi airport is that they did not deliver on their promise to provide our disabled son with his adapted stroller which he needs to support his weaker muscles while sitting. During our first layover, no solution or compensation for the inconvenience was offered. During our second layover on our return flight, the same exact thing happened, this time I had to spend 1,5 hours discussing with the ground team about receiving the stroller. While we were fighting for our son's stroller, which essentially acts as his wheelchair, one of their representatives even tried to sell me full price access to their lounge. We had done everything correctly both times, informed the airline ahead of time that we needed the stroller during the layover, had it labeled correctly, made sure ground staff was informed during check-in and yet, they still managed to not deliver the stroller at the gate as they should have. Another issue on our return flight was that we had booked seats towards the front of the plane. When I checked in to the flight, I realised that we were instead assigned seats in the very last row of the plane. Not what we wanted as this would significantly increase our time to get off the plane. Upon requesting a refund, they told us that they would not refund us because they still provided a seat in the same type of seat. Why would I book seats ahead of time at all then, if they're just going to seat me wherever they want? To make things worse, one of their airport employees even told me we would be refunded for not sitting in the proper seat during check-in. Will never fly with them if at all avoidable!! Stay away from these unreliable thieves!!

The flight was cancelled without notice on behalf of Etihad • Unfortunately we could not do anything about it, as our operator BUSINESS CLASS AIR told us, as this was done by Etihad and they do not know about any reasons for this cancellation • As we did not have much time to think about what we shall do, the only thing we could do > is to rebook our flights again with Etihad but with an Extra of CHF 2000 We will never again fly with Etihad as this is not a way of doing business

India | 08 December 2023I am Binil Thomas,I travel along with my family on 06/12/2023 in ethihad airways.As a family of three,we could carry 120 kg luggage and 21 kg hand cary but during the check in time staff weighed laptop bag and considered it as a hand carry.So we had to send one of our hand carry as luggage.Hence there was excess 4 kg weight in our luggage.so we had to pay 150 pound extra.we travelled many places ,never had such an experience.Nobody weighed laptop bag before.Even though we were willing to remove some of excess weight he told it’s a long queue maybe we would not make it .So we had to pay 150 pound.I felt that was not fair.

Percorso bloccati sull aereo per 45 minuti Hanno fatto sbarcare la 1 classe e poi chi Aveva pagato di più per l uscita veloce. Sono dei mercenari Io non lo sapevo non conoscevo questa Compagnia. Mai più!!!!!!!!!!
