Ireland | 23 August 2023'Cheap' but NASTY. Customer service - NON-EXISTENT! Goes from bad to worse! Needing help? You don't get the same answer from two customer service agents. Do they know what they're doing? Gave all my details, set up an account. Got direct debit mandate through the post, to check. There were errors. I phoned flogas. I was told that my account COULD NOT be found on the system. On phoning flogas again, I was told that my account was there and the errors were rectified. I phoned and emailed regarding flogas rewards. Each email takes about a week to answer. In answer to my emails, I was told to log on to my portal and I'd see the rewards available. When I phoned, I was told there are NO rewards! Different answer with every different person you speak to! My first account was issued. I could not view my account on my portal. As I had had no luck emailing flogas I decided to phone. I was told that my portal had been correctly set up and if I couldn't see my account it must mean they there was something wrong with my computer! I was eventually emailed a copy of my account. Am I going to have to phone flow gas for every account? I await; with anticipation; to see whether my direct debit will work! I'm beginning to regret ever signing up with flogas!!!!

Shut down, guys, stop to put low prices and people wasting time for nothing!

Ireland | 08 August 2023I rarely give a review of a company buy I was so pleasantly surprised with the customer service today that I had to give feedback. Normally you are waiting 20+ minutes to talk to customer support with companies but to my absolute shock, I was speaking to someone within 2 minutes. They were very friendly and dealt with my issue really quick. So while I don't normally give reviews, I felt credit given where credit is due. Assistant name was Precious. **Update 23rd October. Unfortunately I had to downgrade this from 5 Star to 3 Star because here I am 2.5 months later and the credit has still to be added to my account. Hopefully it will be sorted soon.

Ireland | 06 August 2023I'd give these no stars if it was a option. First bill was massively over billed. Slow to respond,in fact they only respond if you send 2 or 3 emails which I had to do. When you send in a metre reading they just ignore it and bill whatever they want. I'll be switching as soon as my contract is up. I can't understand how a company can be so badly run and still be in business. Reply to flogas. What you're saying is lies. I sent in a reading and flogas responded saying they needed a picture of the meter.I sent in a picture and was billed for that amount. The next billing cycle I was sent a bill,I sent in a picture of the meter and it was ignored. I know you're trying to do some damage control but you should really put your efforts into proper customer service

Ireland | 04 August 2023Left a contract early to join Flogas and it was the worst decision. The bills I received were ridiculously high even taking into account the inflation, the cost was a joke. Do not switch to this company. I have been with two other electrical and gas suppliers and they have been both brilliant compared to Flogas.

Ireland | 04 May 2023Have not received a copy of a bill since registering Sept 2022. Every person I have spoke to has given me a different explanation and told me it'll be available in 24 hrs. Promised callbacks that I have never received. Have spent hours on the phone with no fix. Customer service has no idea what is going on and no one willing to fix this for me. Will be leaving Flogas asap.

Ireland | 17 February 2023Changed over to Flogas in December when a door to door agent convinced us of all the savings to be made. We were convinced then we received the highest bill we'd ever received from any company and immediately noticed they had lied about their discounts. They actually increased their prices the second we entered contract with them. We decided to leave them and to take the hit. We received a final bill for €169.22 in an invoice but they actually withdrew €419.22. I contacted their customer service to highlight the anomaly and quickly received a dismissive reply stating they never took that money. So I'm lying? I immediately replied with evidence and demanded they resolve the issue. They're ignoring my email, so small claims court it is. Keep away from this terrible company, rude and unprofessional customer service, liars and regardless what they state its obvious they won't honour it.

Ireland | 17 January 2023One of the worst customer services I have experienced. I was moving into a house which had gas and electricity set up with flogas already. I wanted to contact them to find out their current rates to decide if to stay with them or not. After waiting on the phone for 10-15 minutes about 4 times, with an accidental hang up on their side included I got through to someone who said I'd have to speak to their moving in- moving out team. I said I wanted to make the decision quickly as I was the new bill payer and could they call me back that same day. He said I should receive a call back within 24 hours. 19 days later I receive an email from that team asking me if I would like to stay with flogas. I had changed to another company needless to say at this stage. Then I got a bill for the in between days from moving in to changing to another company. When I tried to call to pay the bill, another wait with accidental hang up from their side. Another wait of 10 minutes and I gave up. The next day called through to sales because I though do I contact customer care, or sales to pay a bill?? Turns out you call customer care. I got through to sales, relieved and then they told me I had to go through customer care. When I did get through those few times staff were helpful and friendly. It must be a problem with the business strategy and not their customer care team. I imagine the poor team get a lot of angry customers purely because it's so hard to get through. I thought paying a bill would be something they would prioritise or keeping new customers but it doesn't seem that way. From my experiences, I will never go with Flogas. Experience December/ January 2022/2023

The bills have gone down since this time last year, I can go to my online account and input the meter reading to see what price it’s at any time between bills. With Flo gas, they never sent me out paper bills. I had to ring several time and I would consider myself a very patient person. It kept happened and I’d get no notice of bill. It would simply come out of my account. This happened a good few times and I rang to try solve it about 3 or 4 times. Then they got me to sign up for an online account, there was issues accessing it. And they could not get to the bottom of it. I thought it was very strange to let a customer off the phone without the issue resolved. I was talking to four different people about it and to not avail. I was in contract and was reassured it would be resolved It was expensive ( double the price or triple what we are paying now with Energia). I used to be stressed as I had housemates and they needed notice of bills coming in on time. Bills were colossal. I had to keep a close eye on the calandar and physically ring to get my bill amount. I remember we had a big bill last July and it didn’t make sense at all why it was so high I had stuck with them for a year and a half. They did send me credit of 30 euro once when I emailed outlining the issues attempts I made to ring to resolve ( I would be usually very slow to complain anytime but the issues dragged on needlessly). Even after this it continued- so I swapped finally!! With energia I have less stress. The online account is a working well. The customer service are very efficient. And I have no nasty surprises every two months. Please rethink signing up to this company , life is stressful enough as it is!

If they do not even answer Sales calls (the most important to them) then existing customers (of which I am one) must not be receiving any reply at all. Emails take about 3 to 5 WEEKS to be answered!! Waiting about 25 minutes each time!! - Zero humans to answer. Total complete waste of anyone's time.

Ireland | 18 August 2022Worse customer experience in my 50 year life for a utility company. Failed to properly setup my direct debit, failed to send me communication that it failed. Ended up with a €500+ accumulated bill, only communicated with me via bills. Didn't get a letter or email. Charged me €20+ for failed direct debit. ( I have a well paid job, never had issues with direct debit and Flogas sent me a successful direct debit validation letter ). They then failed to contact me even though they had my e-mail, fined me, and invisibly dropped me from the 35% discount I signed up for to a 7% discount. They also bumped up the daily standing charge from around 13c to 46c within a couple of months of signing up. Permanently lost a customer and gained an online critic. Hopefully the CRU (Irelands regulatory authority) will also take up my complaint.

Moved into a new apartment with Flogas as current supplier and can't get through to switch account details or more like cancel them at this stage!! Can't understand how these companies that are making massive profits can get away with this neglectful and appalling customer service!!

Ireland | 23 July 2022Worst experience with an electricity provider ever. Upon the change of the address, they have closed the previous account and charged the early exit fee plus the 200 euros cashback they have offered. When changing the address there was no indication that the account will be closed and a new one opened. In total they have charged 250 euros. The contract was supposed to end in August. I have been in contact with the customer service for a month, was promised that the 250 will be returned. On multiple occasions I've been told that they will follow up by next day, every single time I've had to follow up myself, since no action was done on their end for a week. After each follow up I've been given different answer. Then I've been told that it will be refunded within 10 days back to the bank account. Called them two weeks later to find out that they didn't even start the process. Filed a formal complaint, been told it can take up to 20 days to address it. Ridiculous customer service. At this stage, I doubt there will be any resolution to this case and I will most likely end up breaking the contract.
