Shanti my representative was extremely patient and dedicated to getting me set up with Red Pocket Mobile. Held my hand for a couple hours at least. I am very pleased with my red pocket experience so far.

I signed up for RedPocket and wish I hadn't. I recommend other people find a better provider. I chatted with a rep who despite giving her the EMEI could not confirm that my phone was compatible. The most basic question she should have been able to answer, yet she was expecting to sign me up when I could not even get that confirmed. I spent 30 minutes on that chat. I gave her a thumbs down ans she had the nerve to ask me to change my rating of her. I ended up calling to get a rep that was more knowledgeable to get that answer and answers to some additional questions. As that rep was better I ended up buying the service. I received the confirmation of my order and the physical SIM was supposed to arrive in 3 business days. It did NOT. I started a chat on Day 4. The agent says the shipping department messed up and never shipped the SIM. I said, now that we know that, and it was Red Pocket's mistake, they needed to ship it Express mail to get it to me asap as my other plan was ending and I could not be without a phone. The agent refused. I asked for a tracking number so I could know it was shipped and when I might get it. He said it would be shipped that day and I would get the tracking number then. I told him how could I trust that would happen as it didn't happen when I ordered the service. He 'promised'. I spent 40 minutes of MY VALUABLE time trying to get help for RedPocket's mistake. I never got a confirmation SIM was shipped nor a tracking number. So was completely in the dark again. I then called today, got a clearly foreign rep who could barely speak English and refused to give me her name when I asked for it as I have been documenting every contact with this horrible company. Then she lied and told me her name was Shawn. I asked where was was, she told me California, and am sure she was lying about that to by the way she hesitated. I asked for a manager. She refused multiple times despite explaining I don't have the time to deal with someone not empowered to do what needs to be done. She disconnected me. I called back and got another rep. I said nothing personal, but I need to speak to a manager as I have not been getting any help or truth from the reps I have been dealing with. This was my 4th contact with so called customer service reps who have not helped. This call ended up being 45 minutes again of my time. I am NOT getting paid to fix their problems and get the runaround. This last agent never got me a manager despite asking 5 times. Despite telling him the company had messed up and I needed to escalate getting help. I even told him I need my phone to be working as I have an 81 year old mother in very poor health and need to be able to reach her, call doctors, and call an ambulance if needed. I have all the documentation of names, dates, and the chat transcripts to prove how uncaring, inefficient, incompetent, and unpleasant it has been to try to get help. I paid my money, am a new customer, and this is how they have treated me? Don't expect any better as again I chatted/called and 4 agents did NOTHING. I suggest getting a plan from Tello or from a brick and mortar store like TMobile as then you can deal with people in person instead of them hiding from helping you.

They are competitively priced. They have options to select your preferred network. Most importantly, they provide responsive and effective troubleshooting!

After getting cut off due to my union's funds office not getting my pension check into my bank on the first, I spent 5 days trying to get my phone service turned back on. Marie spent over an hour working to get things straightened out, even though redpocket's policies created huge hurdles and idiotic rules that made it nearly impossible. Marie went above and beyond and resolved all issues. Thank you, Marie, for your hard work and friendly voice. Lee Butcher

When I bought the plan 8 mo ago & couldn't get an online account set up & no customer service helped. Didn't set up auto pay so got monthly reminder texts. Got the $35 20gb plan that was supposed to be paid every 30 days. Turned out the 30 days was only for the first 3 months then the text would come earlier & earlier in the month....3 months were only 27 days of service & 2 were 29. Totally unacceptable when my agreement was for 30 days. If customers are all cheated out of days of service each month benefitting the company, that is NOT a company I want to do business with & have arranged to start service with a new provider ASAP

I should preface by saying the coverage was great and on-par with Verizon's coverage. Also their customer service chat is usually very friendly. But that's really the ONLY good things I can say about red pocket. For starters, their port process was frustrating and their port engineer kept trying to enter the wrong zipcode for 3 hours until I finally asked him to provide exactly what he was sending and I saw it was incorrect. In the 3 months of using their service, they accidentally removed me from the family plan, switched my primary line on the family plan, overcharged me twice and refused to refund the full total difference, interrupted service on only one of my phones because their auto-payment service failed, and failed to refill the bucket on my line after the renewal. They don't include visual voicemail as part of the normal package. I had to contact customer service to have them enable the mobile hot-spot feature that's supposed to be included. I reached out on their facebook page as well as directly with their live-chat asking for assistance and spent hours working through these issues. I ultimately am spending LESS on the next provider I've ported to, and will not miss the frustrating experience with red pocket. There is absolutely zero reason to pick this provider. DO NOT RECOMMEND. You've been officially warned.

I use Red Pocket from the US; now I'm in Mexico. When I left on my trip, I had unlimited calls and texts from Mexico to the US. With **no notice** ahead of time, Red Pocket suddenly changed my plan to allow only 100 minutes and 100 texts! Yesterday the app said "unlimited" and "unlimited"; now it says 66 minutes and 66 texts. I called them to confirm; even a supervisor said he can do nothing. I can't switch carriers while I'm in Mexico for ten more days. This is unbelievably bad service!

DON'T DO IT, their service (customer & cell) is horrible, took me 4 days of calling and a threat to write the FCC for them to release my number so I could port it out of Red Pocket. My cell service was so garbled at times no one could hear me. I'll be so glad to be able to talk to my family without wondering if I can hold a conversation with them. Ever hear of "You get what you pay for", this is a great example of that saying. The price is great but their service isn't.

Let's start with the good: the service worked. Calls and data both worked almost all of the time, though I did have to toggle airplane mode at least once in the few months I had it. The limited bandwidth data after the high-speed quota is exhausted is advertised as 128 KB/s but it feels much, much slower than that. It's basically unusable as it does not just load things slowly; everything seems to time out completely. The pricing is deceptive. The "$10/mo" plan is actually $12.99/mo. Sure, some of that is taxes, but they don't even try to hide the fact that the other half is junk fees like "Regulatory Recovery Fee" and "Admin Fee." The website is the worst I've ever used. The 2FA doesn't work (it sends a code, but it always says I entered the wrong code) and locked me out until I contacted support to reset it and disable 2FA. It worked for a few months until yesterday, when I found that the website had for some reason IP-blocked me! I have no idea why. When going to redpocket.com in any browser, including in private mode, it's just a blank white page. I had to use my phone's cell data just to be able to load the page and sign in. If I manually renew (i.e. pay $12.99) a few days before the month is up, then the remaining days are simply lost. For example if I start my month on Jul 1 (through Jul 31) and then pay for a second month on Jul 25, my expiration date is now Aug 25 — not Aug 31. Similar story applies for upgrading plans. The best part is that in order to disable auto-renew, it requires a 2FA to the line being whose auto-renew is being disabled. So if I lose a phone or SIM, apparently I would then have no way to stop making payments on that SIM. All around just a sketchy, shady, dishonest operation.
