United Kingdom | 05 December 2024I feel so emotional writing this review. I am grateful to the Almighty God for everything. My Landlady was ignoring me and making my deposit refund an issue. I felt hopeless due to the fact that I was not allocated Mydeposit certificate by her. Until I remembered that I had a notification email back then in January, 2024 from Mydeposit titled deposit protection confirmation. In August 2024, I googled Mydeposit and the rest was history. I was guided by Mydeposit excellent team via phone calls and emails on the best way to present my case as well as the rules with no guaranty. My Landlady was making it financially impossible for me to terminate early my contract which was meant to be a year, which I left in the month of June. I quitted after six months due to the resignation of my job. It should be stated unequivocally, I substantiated my claims with evidences from pictures, whatsapp communication and emails. At the end of the day, on November 6th, 2024; the Case Assessor awarded me double victory. I was refunded the full sum of the disputed deposit by mydeposit team directly and I also got my prorated July rent from my Landlady which was stated as an overpayment in the arbitration decision. However, I was not charged a penny for this arbitration process; it was a free of charge service. Illiteracy and ignorance can be the worst enemy to mankind. I barely could imagine the number of people in my type of situation. I am speechless. I pray for more wisdom and strength as your team fight for justice and equity in rent matters. United Kingdom | 03 December 2024this companies security is appalling, an approved agent has basically stolen my tenants deposit and used the 'insurance based' deposit scheme to try and legitimate the theft. One of the Agents staff has put his name on the certificate as the landlord so he could keep the money. Avoid this companies insurance based scheme at all cost ONLY use the custodial scheme or better still use the DPS.

The chat box didn't work either (apps download error) so had to chat via support website and go thru verification. The chat agent (Beckie) was good though.

We were kept informed at all points and a thorough investigation was done . Ultimately the decision went in our favour and my son is grateful for that , but at least it was all done properly . This company can be trusted to be impartial and look after deposits properly .

United Kingdom | 18 November 2024If I could write zero I would. Do not secure your deposit with them as they will side with rogue landlord. I got 40% back from my deposit because the decision maker was not qualified to make a judgement on mould so awarded 50/50 plus 10% for a wipe down of plug sockets and to cut a bush back absolute rip off after countless nights of collating evidence including evidence from the council that the property had no adequate extraction in the property leading to the mould. This evidence was ignored and they used only photos as evidence. Absolute waste of time whilst moving with two kids. Unbelievable and it took almost 5 months for a resolution too!
