She went above and beyond to help me with multiple queries and technical difficulties I had and answered all my questions regarding my situation with my landlord. As I was dealing with a stressful situation regarding my deposit with my landlord, I was slightly apprehensive about how helpful and empathetic the mydeposit team would be but Nic was so kind and helpful that it has made me much more reassured about calling mydeposit for help again and how considerately they will hopefully handle the case.

United Kingdom | 04 November 2024Awful company If your not bothered about your deposit or how your property is left go ahead and use these people, they have little regard to landlords that provide good accommodation as tenants can break fixtures and fittings, leave loads of rubbish outside, while the property is re cleaned and brought back to a reasonable standard, their adjudication felt that £157 would cover the issues found at the property , how they managed to chip the sink pedestal is beyond me this alone was estimated at £400 for a replacement , they had evidence photos and statements but of course decided to side with tennants that had little respect for the property, my deposits really are inaquate and I Hope they read there reviews and learn from Them Although I can't see it myself Susan Cooke the unfortunate person that had dealings with them.

United Kingdom | 30 October 2024I am trying to get back the deposit on my property after the tenant was evicted by the courts and the managing agent left me high and dry! It is as stressful as evicting the tenant who left it dirty and left me with thousands of pounds worth of unpaid rent. I am jumping through hoop after hoop, whatever contract I have signed never seems to be worth a light. They are holding the money now for 14 DAYS!!! all due to 'Money Laundering' after that if I am successful I have then got to a 'Statutory Declaration' and get it signed by a Magistrate or Solicitor....I can't imagine what I will have to do then! None of this was made clear to me, all whilst the erstwhile tenant and managing agent swans off into the sunset. Only been doing this since the beginning of June!!!!

United Kingdom | 30 October 2024I had a deposit with Mydeposits of just over £1700. The landlord and agent agreed to release it in full. A 'technical error' meant that Mydeposits were not able to release the money back to me and I had to ring a total of 14 times to find out if the IT department had spoken to the finance team.. if they'd spoken to the customer service team.. It's not my job to make your awful system work -but it is your job to give me back money which you do not own. I desperately needed this money back to pay bills after moving house and there was absolutely no urgency whatsoever. I had no choice about using this company, it's the choice of the agent - as ever - the tenant is up the creek. If anyone bothers to read this from the company, you can validate my feedback on the reference OP00092740. If you're a landlord, choose a different provider. If you're a tenant, hope for the best.

Text chat that takes 25 minutes to be answered and 3 phone calls that were never answered. since the update of their website, I cannot even find any button to start the protection process

Ireland | 24 October 2024They protect rogue landlords as someone has stated before. After renting a property for 7 years which was dangerous,illegal and hazardous to health for a good part of my tenancy with 3 complaints to environmental health. Not withstanding those issues being ignored, The rogue landlord I dealt with for 7 years held back all of my deposit for damages which were mostly all there when I moved in! Not only that the landlord failed to protect my deposit within the legal time frame, did not give me the correct documentation (epc or how to rent handbook) and sent in photographs of apparent damage that was clearly added to even after time stamped photographs. I was nervous from reading some or these reviews by them being on the landlords side and friends had said these people probably did leave damage etc and were miffed. Etc but let me tell you believe every word. The rogue landlord lied, I pointed it out on my final comments and still I was not awarded any of my deposit back. I've written into tenancy groups and even they are shocked. Avoid this place at all costs. I will be taking this to court with the landlord regardless of these cowboys decisions and claiming for work I did on the property which was left in better condition after many betterments and claiming for non repairs, non timely repairs. When they say experienced adjudicators I highly doubt it when they don't even look at the evidence presented. Also rouge Landlord didn't even do an inventory and they still took his word. When I say horrifying and appalling believe every bit.

I complained to MyDeposits about the letting agent and was allocated Georgia as my case assessor. She was responsive and held the letting agent to account, following up with them when they ignored the first deadline to pay to finally get my money back for me. Thank you!

Waiting time was approx 5 minutes on the phone line. I’ve had to phone the line twice on 2 separate deposits and very good information and suggestions given. I asked him to wait whilst I checked a couple of things and whilst I wrote a text with the information given. Very patient and nothing too much trouble.
