Following my below review in 2021, I have been working with Rahead Hussain, my BDM for a while now and he's always provided great service to ensure my clients cases progress through without hiccups. In addition, Adam Cross has underwritten many of my cases and is very easy and pleasant to deal with, making the broker and client experience a smooth one. Helpful BDM and underwriter

They're a waste of time. The mortgage was due to complete on the Friday and, on the Tuesday, they got in touch to say they could not complete on the loan as the ground rent payments in the lease are above their acceptable threshold. They had the lease from the start of the application (months ago), so should have known about this then. By now, I have incurred all sorts of legal fees and find myself having to kick off the process with a new lender. This time delay is going to be very costly

I submitted my first case to Land Bay and being new to the brokering I was a little unsure of the BTL process with you as a lender. My underwriter Katie Zerafa was amazing and she did her upmost in getting the case to offer. Katie always provided regular updates and I was able to chat through any questions I had over the phone. The whole internal process was very good - Paula Dowson (BDM) was exceptional. She was always on-hand to assist and really guided us through the whole process. Shalini (UW) was a pleasure to work with and didn't over-complicate the process... that's pretty much all you need from an underwriter. Mufty in completions was also very helpful and was open to me jumping in as the broker to over-come any hurdles. I was cc'd in throughout, which for me is a must! I would say that a more stringent assessment of solicitors on the panel is required... the firm we used were very frustrating. Less is more in terms of partner solicitors.
