I don’t usually write reviews and recommend businesses to go through for other people but , Stirling Ackroyd’s service , in particular by a man named Jad was beyond great. My first encounter was when I was in Brixton (Being from north, I’m sure you can guess I’m not familiar with Brixton). I was lost . I went into a few shops and they disregarded me for directions to get to the place I was traveling to. Then I went into Stirling Ackroyd where Jad had just finished a phone call. Well presented , he stood up, greeted me and showed me how to get where I wanted to end up. The second encounter was when I was trying to find a property in the area. He was very helpful on the phone and is keeping me updated for the properties that may be of interest. This constant update is helpful in keeping stress levels down as I know someone is trying to find the correct property for me that I can call a home. I would definitely recommend going to at least Stirling Ackroyd, if not Jad for services.

PLEASE do not rent with Stirling Ackroyd (formerly Red Bear). AWFUL agents - so rude and unhelpful. We lived in one of their properties in 2021 and are still getting contacted by billing agents for overdue payments for AFTER we lived at the property - we've repeatedly told people that we no longer live there / haven't for the billing period, and we've just found out today that we're getting these bills still as Stirling Ackroyd told them we still live there! Ridiculous! Save yourselves the headache and rent elsewhere. Utter waste of time.

I contracted Stirling Ackroyd to manage my property when I was letting it. The experience was terrible, as they were really hard to communicate with as I usually had to leave several messages and chase for a response. They made a terrible mess of renegotiating the contract at the end of the first year, so I then terminated my relationship with them and found it much easier to manage the property myself. Over 12 months later I am still waiting for them to transfer the deposit to my account with the Deposit Protection Service and have been making nearly daily calls for the last month to try to get this done.

WORST EXPERIENCE RENTING OF MY LIFE. I have now been renting properties for 2 years - in London - never understood why people say it’s a nightmare… until now. I’m not sure what is worse. They made us wait 2 months for a contract and then had to hunt the landlords for their part. Gave us 3 days to read, sign and dispute the contract. Didn’t order inventory check until til contract was signed, leaving us with the last time slot at 2pm. Meaning we now have to carry our luggage around until two, because hotel checkout was at 10am. Or just the lack of communication and common decency. A big thank you to Rebecca Barrett for the worst experience I’ve had with an agency. Apologising is not going to fix the inconvenience you guys have caused - because all of it could have been prevented if we weren’t pushed to the last moment 🙈

Stirling Ackroyd were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful before I booked my Home Buyers Survey, and it was easy to arrange once I'd decided which survey best met my needs. The surveyor himself (Steve) produced a comprehensive report and took the trouble to ring me to talk through a couple of points too.
