United Kingdom | 01 July 2024Saima and the Clapton (Chatsworth Road) team did a great job at handling our sale through a number of setbacks and went the extra mile when it was really needed. I felt things worked better when handled directly by the agents in the branch office rather than the centralised sales progression team. I would recommend the Clapton office.

He was quick to arrange several viewings into one day, which is extremely helpful when you have a busy schedule. He drove us around and I was extremely happy when he found the perfect one. From that point onwards, the team's communication was great, with them arranging a call with the landlord and efficiently completing all the referencing and admin work within a week. Their online portal is easy to use and very helpful. The team kept me updated throughout. I can't recommend them enough.

Russia | 22 June 2024There was a leak in our house (us-3 students) in Guildford which came from the bathroom upstairs to the kitchen downstairs resulting in a massive flood and damp ceiling and walls for about a week afterwards before someone came. Before the leak we had a similar minor incident coming from the same old pipe and were promised to have someone to check but no one turned up. After that we had to call an expensive emergency plumbing service and were told by the agency that it is too expensive and they basically cannot pay us the full amount back as previously we mentioned a different price due to an underestimation of the service. During the process we also had more than 7 managers from Stirling who contacted us and we had to explain everything anew. they were probably making an attempt to show that they care and are working on this when honestly it felt slightly different. This was dragged over more than 3 months and in the end our landlord had to pay us out of their pocket. We still have yellow damaged walls and ceilings and were promised to get it fixed but it’s been months and we only got a person to dry the walls and assess the situation but no actual work has been done. The whole process was tiring and we never got what we wanted.

United Kingdom | 21 June 2024I have used a number of different branches of Stirling Ackroyd recently and found them all to be much more pro active and efficient than other agents I have used. In particular Ifta Khan from the Commercial branch in Shoreditch was fantastic both in finding a buyer and following the sale through to exchange of contracts. I have used a number of commercial agents in the past 40 years and Ifta stands out as the best I have used (and I have used quite a few). If you have commercial property to let or sell in London I would recommend you speak to Ifta first, I doubt you will be disappointed. At last a commercial agent who is pro active in every way.

United Kingdom | 05 June 2024This review is specifically for the poor service we have received from Katy Harris, the head of property management - home counties, head office. We had left our rental property over 6 weeks ago, the checkout report summary was that we had left the property in better and cleaner condition than when we moved in 18 month prior. We have always paid rent in full and was expecting a full refund of our deposit quickly. How wrong that turned out to be. The person in charge of this is Katy, she has been making endless excuses to delay this process. We are so fed up. We had been spending weeks over the emails and on the phone, trying backwards and forwards to contact the landlord and do the job for Katy, trying to get this sorted, but she would not return our phone calls, didn't bother to call our landlord to get the information she says she required, didn't understand why there is no deduction claimed from the landlord, delaying to release the deposit by making all kinds of excuses ...so you readers please stay away from this estate agent! When they want your deposit, they would act in timely fashion, but when it comes to release the deposit, if they have no excuses to deduct any money off, it just simply doesn't make sense to them, they will go to the end of the earth to find a reason, otherwise they don't release deposit at all.
