I’d booked to get a screen repaired on an iPhone 12. When walking into the store I was immediately told I had ‘booked the wrong screen’ and the correct screen was £40 more (£160 instead of £120) . I thought this was strange as I was certain there were no options on the website for choosing different screens (I went home and checked and there are no options). So beware the price stated online is for a downgraded 3rd party screen. Following on from this, I had asked if replacing the screen would cause any other issues. It wasn’t until I directly asked questions about any error messages that I was told that I would get an error message stating a 3rd party screen was installed and also that some functionality you would get with a normal iPhone repair at an Apple shop would be missing. Again, none of this is listed on the website and clearly the hope is you don’t ask any questions. After asking all these questions I decided to pay the extra 100 quid and have it repaired the apple shop instead. Genuine OEM product with no error message and a true 90day Apple warranty. Yea it’s more money but you pay your money, you make your choice. I’d never go to I smash again based on this visit.

Had the battery replaced in my phone. All seemed to be working ok but when I tried to use the camera, they had damaged the autofocus so the camera was unusable. I do not live near an iSmash location and rarely get back to the location that damaged it so I now have a broken phone. They should spend more time testing that *everything" works when handing back a repaired device.

I had my charging dock repaired on my phone. When I collected the phone it was fixed however my sim card was not working (no service/internet). I mentioned this to the member of staff who fixed my phone and he stated there was no refund, and I had to leave my phone with them for 5 days if I wanted it fixed. He said the SIM card slot had been damaged by them. He then proceeded to be extremely rude and initially stated he had no way of contacting his manager, which he then did minutes later. I returned the next morning and a different member of staff simply reset something in my settings and it then worked perfectly.

Excellent service at Liverpool One store I was served by Marion in the Liverpool One store. Marion examined my phone which had stopped working. We had a really helpful discussion around the pros and cons of a new battery considering the age of the phone and buying a refurbished phone in store. I am not at all technical and was given lots of time to ask questions which were answered very clearly and with time to consider the options. I left the shop with a fully working refurbished phone with contacts etc transferred from the old phone. This was a very pleasant experience and I had a real feeling of being looked after.

My IPad Pro battery was needing charged after a short time so decided to get battery replaced by what I thought was an apple approved repairer Ismash, got it done once but had to return 70 miles to get it fixed again as it was still the same, but then after a very short time , it set on Fire when I was standing on a station platform after just returning from a. Cruise. Could smell what I thought was fireworks but couldn’t locate it but something made me look in my rucksack to find it on fire , giving off acrid smoke, I lifted it out of the bag burning my. Fingers as it was that hot and watched the screen come away from the body even when water was poured onto it ,eventually going out. I took a video when it was happening as proof, what worried me was what would have happened if it had happened in my cabin on the ship, or on the train or aeroplane luggage, a lot of deaths. And then to find Ismash didn’t seem bothered after I contacted them on that day and no one replied for 5 days but then was urged to return the iPad to the store 70 miles away after telling them apple wanted to check it out. So I returned it to their store and they removed the batterybut refused to give me the battery as said it may be dangerous, funny that as Apple wanted to investigate the cause, but then didn’t seem to want to resolve the replacement of my iPad even though I had been very very helpful getting the iPad etc to them next day when they asked. Seems once the cause of the fire had gone so couldn’t be Checked out, they didn’t want to know. They did send me a used marked iPad which I refused and returned. And am still awaiting a resolution after 2 months. What worries me is, Did they even try and contact all other people who had had iPad batteries renewed in case they were supplying faulty batteries etc. Did they do anything. This is the poorest customer service I have EVER come across , from a customer service point of view and more importantly a SAFETY point of view. Still not resolved after 2 months. DONT GO TO ISMASH IF YOU VALUE YOUR AND YOUR FAMILIES SAFETY! VIDEO IS AVAILABLE OT THE IPAD BURNING.

Visited Meadowhall branch as my iPhone wasn’t charging and can’t praise Aidan enough. Quickly identified the problem, gave me a quote and then fixed it within 10 minutes. Excellent service!

Delivered my Macbook Pro to iSmash in Chiswick in the morning but I wasn't able to get back for it on that day. I picked it up on the following Monday and it was charged up and looking healthy. So far I have a battery that remains fully charged and everything is working well with the laptop.

Brought in an iPad Pro for a screen replacement around 5pm which I fully expected to collect 2-3 days later. The team at Bluewater asked if I was still going to be around in a couple of hours and turned around the replacement screen in 90 minutes, saving me the trip back. Hugely appreciated!
