United Kingdom | 05 October 2023Extremly disappointed, booked online simple screen replacement for iPad 7th generation for £135, on arrival the service representative at the front desk said ''sorry we won't be able to fix it'', without even testing it or even looked at trying anything, I confirmed my iPad digital screen was perfectly working and all I needed is a screen, yet he said ''I ask my engineer'' in 3 seconds he says no sorry no no! Ive send it to an eBay repair service it took 24hrs for £69 its back on my desk no issue! less stress and less money what a total waste of tiem this company is.

United Kingdom | 03 October 2023Took phone in with a cracked screen, not serious but annoying ad google pixel worked fine. Good service (80 pounds more expensive than other places, but can fix in 30mins) replaced screen and put on protective cover that didnt work well, but said would get better with use. Within an hour a big white line appeared on the screen. I called up and they said bring it in. Which i did the next day. They didnt say anything bit replaced the screen under their warranty. Line had gone, but on handing back phone i noticed the finger print scanner wasnt working. Clearly wasnt fixed down properly. They quickly solved that, but on using the phone over next day many of the keys and numbers were not working without a repeated typing or didnt work at all. The protective screen was clearly coming away and then the white line appeared again. I took the phone back and they refused to mend or even look at it. Told me it was because of physical damage. I informed them that they replaced the screen before and the line went and assured them that there had been no physical damage to the phone since either of the replacement screens, but that the protective cover was not secured properly and i had to take it off to use phone. They told me that 'is it impossible ' and that physical damage was the cause of the line. They indicated i was lying about no damage and i informed them no mention of 'physical damage' was mentioned previously. The said contact google (not sure why) and ismash customer services but wouldnt give me a number. I took a picture of the name tag of the employee so i could keep a record, he got aggressive and said i cannot take a picture of his name tag, but he could write his name down (he never did). There was no offer of compensation, and said that nothing was covered by their 12 month warranty.... so i asked what warranty does cover and he said the parts they replace. Thus i said could they replace their screen again but this time please dont put on protective cover. They said yes but for another 270pounds. Reviews are good which is why i went there, but this was truly awful customer service. You cant contact customer services, just an email. So a damaged phone that was fine before they replaced the screen, hours out if my days to keep taking phone back, 270quid of costs not including parking costs for each visit. I was told there would be no compensation, no good will and dont bother to argue as they wouldnt be doing anything about it, apart from fix the problem they caused (admitting by replacing it the first time that it must of been their fault) for another 270pounds

United Kingdom | 03 October 2023My cell phone screen broke and I called the insurance. I paid the deductible and they told me to schedule an appointment at ismash. I had to wait 1 week. Why? You'll see why you have to ask for the part. But not. I went there and they told me they would order the part and I didn't know how long it would take depending on insurance. Now why wait 1 week to hear this? They are very bad and the treatment of the person, if you have to pay for it, is one, if it is safe, it is another. Store. st pancreas n1c4l

United Kingdom | 30 September 2023Do not use this company they state in their website that they use genuine Apple parts BEWARE they don't and the guy in the phone even told me they don't it will ruin your phone, go to Apple or Samsung do it properly don't waste your time.

United Kingdom | 28 September 2023Went in to the store to enquire as to whether they fix speakers on phones as I haven’t been able to hear people on the phone clearly for over a year now and constantly needing to use my phone on speaker which isn’t always appropriate. Not wanting to upgrade I wanted to see if I could get it fixed first. The staff member was very helpful and stated it may just need a good clean which he did there and then in under 5 mins at no charge - phone fixed. Wonderful staff, highly recommend using this store.

United Kingdom | 28 September 2023Nothing but problem since i changed the screen at the shoreditch branch. First phone completely crashed the next day and frozen in a loop on the locked screen. Leaving me phoneless for a whole day. Couldnt factory restore it or anything as was stuck in a loop. Managed to do it through findmyiphone eventually! Now phone will freeze/crash and reboot every other day, other times screen just becomes unresponsive and stops working. Either have to wait and hope it starts working, realise and it crashes and reboots or manual hard rest the phone. It ridiculous how many issues ive had since replacing the phone screen from never having one issues in 4-5 year until the technician in the Shoreditch branch touched my phone. Not to mention the rude service and over all experiences in visiting that branch too. What kind of company are they running and what quality of parts are you using! If i could id get a refund i would, cause the service and experience have been terrible with nothing but problems and headache.

United Kingdom | 28 September 2023Booked an appointment to have the rear housing of my iPhone replaced via an insurance company claim and without permission/ authorisation or even mentioning anything to me. iSmash replaced the screen, battery and rear housing. (I assume this is a bit of a con so that they can charge your insurance company for more than you only asked for.) The parts used are non genuine Apple parts. The phone feels cheap and nasty in your hand, your iPhone will display error messages for the screen and battery that cannot be cleared and you will lose all battery health data. Would not recommend! Cowboy operation, cheap and poor quality parts, ruins your iPhone. Be very careful to make sure they don’t replace half of your phone with cheap non-genuine parts as they will not consider asking before the work is already done!

However, the very helpful young man said he could do it in 2 hours. When I returned to collect it, the 3 staff were all helpful and friendly and had also replaced the battery under warranty because they had seen the old one needed it. Fast, friendly service. I recommend this service without hesitation.

United Kingdom | 27 September 2023They forced me to put their own brand iphone battery making tall claims about it being cheaper and better than Apple original battery and from first day it is overheating every time I use my phone for more than 5 minutes. It also suddenly drops from as high as 90% to 10%; phone restarts than whether plugged in or not - phone does not budge from 10% unless I do a forced restart and and then plug it in for at least 3-4 hours. Very pushy salesmen who wanted me to buy either their own brand battery or their refurbished models rather than putting in Apple Genuine Battery. This was iSmash Canary Wharf store. I will never ever use iSmash again.

United Kingdom | 25 September 2023I took my iPhone XR to iSmash Chiswick for a new battery. On the positive side it was very easy to book in and the work was done quickly. The battery seems to work okay and lasts longer than the old one between charges. What they didn’t make clear up front is that they didn’t use a genuine Apple battery, so now my iPhone shows an “unknown part” message under settings. I don’t know for sure, but I suspect this will make it difficult when it comes to trading in my XR for a new iPhone. On their website iSmash say: “Be assured that all the parts we use are of the highest quality as iSmash are a Trusted Service Provider for Apple devices.” Apple confirms that iSmash have access to genuine Apple parts and batteries, so why not use a genuine part, or at least offer the option to have a genuine part, if available?

Was going to buy a wireless charger to keep me going for a couple of days, but Alex at iSmash Charing Cross managed to fix it within seconds (free of charge). Also brought the wireless charger as they are useful to have.

United Kingdom | 22 September 2023Took my 2 yr old Samsung s20 for screen replacement in October 2022 at the Guildford branch (an hour from where I live). I’d booked an appointment online the day before but when I turned up I was told they didn’t have screens in stock and to come back the next day which although annoying to waste so much driving time, I did as what other choice do you have. I was initially happy with the repair until a few days after when I started to notice that I wasn’t getting signal in places I used to. I got in contact and they said to come back in and they’d take a look at it. Off I trudged again and they said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it so figured maybe something else was up. I spent the next 6 months with rubbish phone signal and then happened to find out a friend had an unlocked phone and lo and behold I suddenly was able to make calls everywhere I used to. I wrote to the branch in August 23 for some feedback and as of writing this in September; I’m yet to even receive an acknowledgment of my email.
