United States | 29 November 2018First off, let me say that in the end, I got exactly what I paid for. My data was recovered. The rep who worked with me kept me updated to the status of my work, sometimes with a bit of prodding. I paid for the expedited service, which I don't recommend. In the end, it still took about 5 weeks to get everything back. The cost was much higher than any quote I got, but in respect to the company, my issue was not easy to fix. Raid 0 striped, one of the disk's motor was shot and the read/write head was damaged. They had to do a lot of work to recover this data. In the end, the experience was pretty fair. I'd suggest doing a backup... it's cheaper by far...

United States | 20 November 2018Be warned!! They suck you in giving you a low estimate and pretending they care. They claim to be able to be the only ones that can repair your drive. They told me not even Seagate can do what they do. They are very attentive till they get your money. They don't guarantee their work but they tell you unless the drive is in a fire or smashed they should be able to recover your data. Once they have your credit card you never hear from them again. Not only did thru not recover my data, they didn't have the decency to call me. After 4 weeks of waiting and calling, I finally got an email that they couldn't retrieve my data. They still haven't called. I don't write reviews but I hate to see others get duped like I did. Now I will find every review site I can find to try and stop others from being duped. I'm starting to think this company is just a shell taking advantage of good people hoping to get back their memories. I’m sure they will just say I’m upset that I spent $800 and didn’t get my data back but it’s a lot more they that.

United States | 17 November 2018horrible!!!!!!!!! All positive reviews are not the truth beware very rude and will not return your item on time nor the way it was send out to them. I received my external hard drive wrapped in plastic without the original package. It is literally trash now! They are scamming people with good reviews and they are nice first than they call you names and tell you that you crazy and not the only one sending in items. Does that mean you have to break my stuff and send me my item back unpacked? I am not joking. They are very rude and very unprofessional! Do not believe what they say. Choose someone else and keep your hands away from them. DONT DO IT DO NOT DO IT.

United States | 09 November 2018Extremely pleased! Had two old hard drives (back-up & primary) that had crashed with old family photos I didn't want to lose. I had held on to the old drives for 5+ years. Sent them to Fields Data Recovery where they quickly analyzed both hard drives and then recovered the one I requested after I reviewed the files they could recover on each. Photos are recovered. The staff was very responsive and the service was quick and professional. Great job!

United States | 09 November 2018$800 to TRY to fix an SD card containing the final pics of my now deceased husband. Can't pay that! Six weeks later, I still do not have my SD card back. Their communication sucks. I don't trust a thing they said about their diagnosis of my corrupted SD card. Be Leary! I wouldn't ever attempt to use them again. This company is awful. They don't care about you, just the money. Look elsewhere. I fear my memories are lost. I hate them.

The final price was slightly higher than I expected, but I also understand it's difficult to give an accurate estimate of cost until they receive the hard drive and determine the problem. It ended up being bad heads on the hard drive. They were able to retrieve just about all of my data. As a matter of fact, I can't seem to find anything I'm missing. They were super quick with their service. In just a couple of days of receiving my drive they sent me a list of the files and folders that could be recovered. They emailed me with each step they were taking. I received the flash drive with my data in around 8 days from the date I mailed them my hard drive. I highly recommend this company!

I had a hard drive that had physical defects and they went out of the way to secure parts to rebuild my data. In the end I was able to have access to more than 99% of what was lost. Thank God. Some of what I had was impossible to duplicate otherwise.

I contacted Fields and they offered to have my drive ship to them no charge, evaluate what could be recovered, provide a free estimate and return the drive free of charge if I did not want their services. They provided a reasonable quote to recover the data and I had the data back in less than 72 hours. I would recommend Fields to anyone looking to recover files from a damaged hard drive.

I finally through in the towel and sent the drive to Fields Data Recovery. They retrieved all my data 707gb. This was about 3 months since I received my data back and so far no corrupted files. I highly recommend Fields Data Recovery to anyone who needs to recover important data. I hope I never have to do business with them again but will always highly recommend them.

United States | 11 October 2018I mean customer service was fine BUT....they wanted to charge me $1200 to fix a messed up port on a hard drive. Then I managed to find a local place who said they take a look and give it a try. The guy at FIELDS then wanted to close a deal at $675...50% off now really?? Needless to say I got my drive back from FIELDS and the local shop did a enclosure swap and charged $15 - took 2 mins to fix......
