United States | 04 October 2018Oh my gosh! My hard drive died in the middle of my dissertation proposal. My entire life, my entire career, was on this hard drive. The really funny thing about the whole event, was I was preparing to migrate to a new hard drive and that is when it died! I waited too long to do the migration. You guys saved my butt! I am very happy that you were able to retrieve the data and send me all my information.

United States | 03 October 2018The agent who took my order was helpful and knowledgeable and was generally easy to reach when I needed to call him back or ask questions. The process of receiving my data back took a little longer than they originally said, but it turned out to be a more complicated problem. Cost was also a surprising factor as it was about twice what I'd expected to pay, but overall, I was happy and everything worked out great.

United States | 03 October 2018Scam. Took me for almost $900. No data, no hard drive. Told me there was data, I paid and never got anything. They tell me there was a slip up. No data, no hard drive. They told me repeatedly they would send it to me. One lie after the other. No refund.

United States | 03 October 2018Hands down the worst possible service I could ever expect. My hard drive had a busted drive-head on a hard drive I stored research data on. When I first asked Fields for a turn-around time on a repair job for that, I was told it would take a week for my device to be looked at, repaired, and returned to me. I was also asked to source a blank identical drive for parts, if I could. I did. First things first: Every attempt to contact them by email failed to get a response until I'd sent at least three emails over the course of a week. Never did they respond sooner than a week after I'd sent an email. Every attempt to contact them by phone got me the run-around on hold until I was told a supervisor/manager would call me back. That never happened. Fields didn't get back to me with anything solid for three weeks, despite repeated attempts to contact them after a week had past. When they finally did, I was told they hadn't looked at it yet. Yet more weeks later, they finally got to it. Apparently. They said they couldn't use my spare drive and had to source their own, wanted me to pay for that. Then they gave me a file list which contained all of the folder but less than 1% of the files. Which should not have happened, because a busted drive-head doesn't cause significant drive damage. I don't know what they did to it, but they messed something up in a big way. There was still a tiny amount of data listed as retrieved though, so I grit my teeth and paid them to get the drive back. The drive, when returned yet more weeks later (10 weeks in total), despite repeated questions of "where is the drive you told me you were sending back?" When it finally arrived, it came with a USB drive which had my minuscule amount of retrieved data and no spare hard drive. Which I had explicitly and specifically asked in (at first ignored, but eventually responded to) emails if it would be returned to me. The USB had my folders, but as it turns out most of the "retrieved" files were corrupted and I couldn't get any data off of it. The returned 'repaired' drive was broken beyond repair and couldn't be reused. And the spare drive is still missing in action, presumably lost or just taken and not returned by Fields. At every step of the way communication was awful, nonexistent, and I was repeatedly lied to. And I know it may seem like I'm really upsetabout this and ... well that's because I am. I'm normally really accommodating about delays, problems, etc. from service companies. I've worked in the service industry myself, I get it. But this was outright malignantly bad service. There's no excuse for it. Oh and at one point when asking for a pay form I hadn't been given for the third time that week, I was sent a 'pay form' ... which was a .png of someone else's file tree. So add general incompetence to the list. If Fields actually did the work they promised and didn't just straight up remove and scan the hard drive outside a clean room (which I wouldn't rule out, it'd be consistent with the damage done), they're the worst data recovery service I've ever heard of. Never use them.

United States | 03 October 2018I sent 3, 35 year old 7 or 9 track tapes that had been unspooled, and they were able to recover the data. What more could I have asked?

United States | 22 September 2018Besides the cost, and I know how equipment and technology cost are high, the only concerns were that I had to make a few calls to find out what progress was being made and kept getting told that the person who was working on my data could not come to the phone. Always said they would have them return the call but never did. All of a sudden I received my data (flash drive) in the mail. It also took longer than I expected to receive my data. But I did receive all the important data that I needed.

United States | 22 September 2018Absolutely HORRIFIC service. Please AVOID. I repeat...DO NOT USE their service. In the beginning my primary contact, Eric K, was pleasant. Constant contact through the entire troubleshooting effort. However, once I paid $1800 for the raid recovery, he would not respond to my emails or phone calls and I had not received my data or hard drives in over 3 weeks. After several attempts, Mr. K finally answered one of my calls and had the audacity to tell a paying customer (i.e., me), "Why are you hounding me. You will get the drives when you get them." Well, I finally got my hard drives back today (after 2 months) and I just wanted to share the condition and the level (lack) of respect this company has towards their customers. The image below shows the condition I received my 4 hard drives, in a beaten up previously used amazon box which by the way someone could place a hand in and take the hard drives. I repeat..yet again...please AVOID Data Field Recovery.

United States | 22 September 2018Fields data recovery was able to retrieve nearly all of the data contained on my crashed hard drive. The client services person was very knowledgeable and kept me up to date during the entire process. While the cost was a bit higher than originally quoted, it was worth it. They have no idea how much data they can recover until they begin their process and in my case, it was a lot! I do not hesitate to recommend Fields Data Recovery to anyone in need.

United States | 21 September 2018The did what I expected and I would use them again. To sum it up they were fantastic...

United States | 19 September 2018I sent in my crashed hard drive for USEFUL data recovery. Boy was I deceived into believing that they had actually recovered some USEFUL data. What I got for $500 was total worthless non-useful garbage, to any human being. This company should be shut down for their deceitful tactics and extortion of peoples money.

United States | 18 September 2018Paid 640$ to get my seagate hard drive fixed. Said it was going to be at least a two week operation. Instead, they had it for less than a week and declared the repairs and data recovery a failure. They sent back the external hard drive without the outside plastic casing and without the power cable and adapter cable that I sent with it. Now they won’t respond to any of my emails. Terribl terrible service

United States | 13 September 2018Very timely & professional.

United States | 12 September 2018Every positive review is FAKE. absolute crooks!! Manager , customer services managers (both females.) All service reps, spoke to 5... trust pilot made me remove their names but the other sites don't. Trust pilot doesnt allow individuals to held accountable for their personal involvement in fraudulent actions but thankfully ALL of the other sites do!. All of the employees were horrible! paid $500 NEVER got my data or refund. Just excuses and the run around. I cannot believe this, I will follow up with the appropriate authorities . Wish I could give a zero star rating!!

United States | 24 August 2018The data recovery was done very well and very quick. And of the quality of the work was good. The people we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. We did not like the price negotiation. Personally, I like it better when I get a sharp price at the start. But that is the only thing. I would recommend fields data recovery and would use them again.

United States | 23 August 2018Satisfied with their patience and work. Top tier customer service on par with Disney & Amazon. Compared to other competitors a great alternative. Satisfied given the circumstance

United States | 23 August 2018Great service, very helpful people. Only reason it is not 5 stars is that recovering my hard drive was WAY more expensive than what they advertised.

United States | 23 August 2018They were quick to reach out after an online inquiry. Explained their process and pricing. The job was done and returned to me within 5 business days. Amazing service. My drive contained precious digital pics of 4 of my 6 and they were able to repair the drive and recover my files. Excellent customer service, follow through and follow up.
