I placed an order for a new storage shed from Asgard called the ‘Vangard’. After comparing several sizes of sheds, I decided on a smaller one measuring just over 5 by 3 feet in Dark Brown which would go with the garden fencing. Although it took nearly 4 weeks to deliver, I am very satisfied with the product once it had been built. The instructions were easy to follow, and with my brother helping me out, it took around 45 mins to put the shed together. Just to point out that you do need to have a flat level base to build the unit it on. I was planning on installing the shed on a concrete base which had a very slight slope(maybe a couple of centimetres max) but was advised to level it out as it would affect the door opening access once it had been built. Satisfied with the quality.

This is a frank and honest account of my dealings with Asgard Secure Steel Storage. I have always bought things like sheds from the local garden centre, never online. To be honest buying such a none online product was weird to say the least, I took some cajoling from the wife to buy such a large item without first seeing it. The buying experience: There was a lot of choice on the Asgard website, to be honest I found it a little confusing, only when I got into each product and read the rather detail information was I able to work out which was the one for me. I went for the Centurion model, which is the top end insurance approved shed. I ordered totally online, based purely on the photos and information provided. This was excellent, lots of info, sizes, materials, warranty info, capacity, weights… it’s all there for you. I paid by paypal and got an instant email back, confirming what I had ordered and a conformation of the order total, which was really confusing, as the conformation came through without VAT on. So I thought the total Was incorrect – a quick phone call to customer services and I was put in the picture. Anticipated delivery on the website was 3 4 weeks. In reality it was delivered in 5. Not an issue for me as I had to prepare a concrete base to put the shed on, and that took a while to get done because of the weather. As promised though I was kept in formed of the progress of my delivery (thanks to a guy call Ray Parker). When the shed turned up, I was surprised by the delivery method. Every panel was individually wrapped in a wooly blanket and delivered on an Asgard van by two burley Yorkshire men. The two men put the bits around the back of my house exactly where I wanted them. There was more than enough screws (excellent) all the panels were there (great) but there was a damaged panel. The delivery guys phoned through to the factory and ordered a new one. The new panel was delivered the next day at 9.24 by the same two delivery guys. Putting the shed together was tough going, it is not hard, but good grief it is very, very heavy. Definitely at least a 2 man job (they do say this in the instructions and trust me they mean it). Construction time was about 3 hours for two of us.. mainly because as alpha males we chose not to read the instructions to begin with and put the back panels on backwards. I would say the hooks are not the best value in the world. £40 is a bit much for some bent metal, the shelves however are very good, they seem to be made from the same stuff as the actual main shed (rust proof metal). I bought the optional ramp, which is actually a brilliant idea, the shed has a 2” lip at the front, so getting the heavy lawn mower etc in would have been a pain without it. The wooden sub floor inside (this sits on top of the metal subfloor inside the shed) is a waste of money. It’s basically expensive chipboard, in hind sight I would have been better just going to B and Q and buying a few sheets and cutting them myself. When it’s is together it is actually quite impressive, looks very strong and actually quite stylish. Best of all it doesn’t look like a shed, which is great. Overall 5/5

They sell sheds and bike storage. Decent enough service. It was delivered on time – you can’t ask for more than that. Looks a good strong secure unit. Delivery men were good and polite. At last a decent bit of service from a UK company.

A big purchase. 400 for a bike box. Got to say, excellent though. On the bad side I hate to wait 3 weeks for delivery as they make to order, which I missed on the website. The delivery men called the day before to check I was in, I was out - so they left it for me exactly where I asked. Lots of screws, looks intimidating at first. The instructions were clear and well illustrated. All the bits were there and it went together like a dream. No problems at all. The box is strong and secure and fits all 4 of our family bikes in no problem at all. Highly recommended, but just ne prepared to wait a week or so.

I have now purchased 2 products from Asgard. The 1st was a Metal Bike Shed – The Annexe Model. This is not cheap at 500 pounds, but has proven its worth already after a recent break in, my house was emptied of everything of any value but the thieves could not get into the bike store – so that’s 7000 pounds less to claim for. The cost of insuring my bikes was three 300 pounds, so in theory after two years the unit is paid for. The only thing the thieves managed to do was snap off the handle and scratch the paint. The 2nd unit was a Flexistore Metal Shed. Not as heavy duty as the Annexe bike store (this one is not insurance approved) but – again, more than strong enough for garden tools – Same price at around the 500 pounds mark as the bike store, but three times the size. Again this unit foiled the thieves only a slight dent in the door and tool marks around the lock. All in all very impressive sheds Nice to see a UK business actually STILL in business LOL

Finally got my Asgard unit 2 weeks ago. Held up by all the snow, it was a nightmare! We live out in the sticks up a country lane – lovely view, however we had recently been burgled whilst we were out at the Velodrome racing. Asgard couldn’t get the van up the lane. At the 3rd attempt, the delivery guys loaded the shed onto a farmers tractor, rode with the farmer up to the house and unloaded it again for us. Brilliant. The biek shed itself is really very good. I only have a single bike in mine – though it Is several thousand pounds in value. We have the shed under the living room window a perfect fit! The locks are great, a little stiff in the -14 it has got too recently. Inside the bike, shoes and my helmets are dry. I wouldn’t leave clothes in it though because of the cold. I chose the nice brown colour as it matches our farm house style property. All in all a fantastic service. A level of which I wouldn’t expect from a shed company.

I bought a motorbike store after reading good things about the company both on Trust Pilot and may other review sites and blogs. So this has come full circle. The website it’s self I struggled with, it has a lot of information on it, possibly more than I though I needed at 1st – but in the end even after purchase I referred back to it many times. The quality of the product has blown me away. I am an engineer and so expected to find fault after fault, not a one. Every hole lined up, every panel was finished to the highest standard. The locks are fantastic, the roof is genius! Built in vents - a brilliant idea. I really am struggling to find a bad point other than the delivery was 15 mins late. Well worth a look.

This was a huge purchase for me, not just in terms of monetary value, but also this was my first ever online purchase. So this review is most definitely from a net novice. The first question is: Why did I want a metal shed from Asgard and not go down to B and Q? After recently selling my business I have decided to get back into shape and get back into cycling. So on a whim, I went out and spent £4300 on a titanium bike. As soon as I went out for my 1st ride I was stopped half a dozen times by admirers, which was not good, as I don’t want to be noticeable (not with these thighs!). Then I had to think about where to store it, hidden from view. The garage was the obvious place, but I like everything to have its place – me in the house, car in the garage, lawn mower in the shed and my new bike in a bike store. I chose the Annexe bike store, because it looked good and surprisingly did not look like a bike store – which is even better. This was the only bike store I could find with a floor, which is crazy. Why would you buy a shed without a floor in it? I also paid £100 for installation (I’m too delicate for screwdrivers!). The service was 1st rate from the start. I phoned for more information about the products and advice on which was the best bike store for me given my own circumstances and needs - also to get a feel for the company. The customer support lady I spoke to was very helpful and knew lots about the actual products and her colleague new everything about cycling. I decided to pay online – then phoned them to check they got the order – which they did. I found the online ordering very simple, even for an internet novice. I was phoned 3 days before delivery to check that I was in and ready to accept the shed. Unfortunately I was not – Asgard simply postponed delivery a week, phoned again the following week and a time and day was arranged. The shed turned up at 9.32am – 28 mins early! The two guys who delivered also installed and took them around 20 mins to do. Including bolting the unit down to the ground. 10 mins later I had my bike, two back packs, water bottles, spare tyres etc. all in and locked up safely. The locking system is easy to use – this is the only shed I have ever seen with a proper handle on it and a real key! I hate padlocks. There is plenty of room inside for a second bike if I wish to buy another. It does not look out of place hidden behind my bbq area. It came with 3 keys. I understand if I lose the keys the doors have to be cut off to get in, so spares are useful. Nice touches that were not apparent when I ordered the unit – A rain guard above the main door is excellent. When I have the doors open, it guides the water away from dripping inside. The roof slopes forward, this gives extra height at the back for hanging items at the back. You can swap the door handing, I can have the doors on the left or right. All in all a good 1st online experience.

What can I say?? I needed a bike storage unit. Having bought one from a company called Trimet als and had my bike stolen, I was hesitant at buying another. After lots of research I found Asgard. A: All their products have been given top marks by the cycling press B: Made in the UK – can’t be many manufacturers left? C: The price was good D: The product was delivered on time (they even phoned to ask me when and where I wanted it) E: Went together 1st time and I’m hardly a practical woman F: They are an ethical company – no packaging – and BSI accredited 10./10 UPDATE: I ordered a 2nd unit as the 1st one was excellent. Same great service.
