Great place for a do-it-yourselfer, or anyone, to purchase a MYGA. Interest rates are higher than MYGA's that are sold by commissioned financial reps. Online application process is quick and simple - just be sure to follow the instructions properly. Before purchasing a MYGA, or other annuity product, check your own state's Insurance Guaranty Association to understand your protection limits.

Update. Finally received a phone call. Nice person and was given the explanation that it “will take a couple weeks” before the policy and documents will appear. Was able to set up the portal and did finally receive the policy confirmation in the portal of a policy number. Almost 2 weeks from the time the cash was out of my account until the policy was issued and started earning interest. Some sort of confirmation of a policy application and payment of interest from the day they have your cash would be a great improvement for Canvas. Initial review: Would have given a zero star if possible. Authorized ACH premium payment. They took the money immediately out of my account but never sent any documents - no policy to be found. Emailed and called and left a message and no reply. Do not be the next victim. Will for sure be a long and protracted legal process to hopefully some day recover something. Will update if there is a different outcome but thus far this company appears to not be legit.

I am really impressed with how easy it was to purchase my annuity directly. I was extremely pleased to learn today how quickly the annuity was issued once they received my check. I tracked it with certified mail and found out the annuity policy was issued the very same day! I have had other companies hold a very large check for over a week stating it was "in process". Way to go Canvas Annuity! This means even more money in pocket.

The online applicatoin process was really easy and fast today.

The agent was very helpful and actually knew her job correctly, which i todays world is a rarity. Plus she was very pleasant. As the COO of a mid size medical company, i would hire this employee in a moment! Aside from the agent, my comments on the application process to your management is to slim down and simplify the process.

I am struggling with the payment portion as PIOLT did not take my Marcus Goldman Sachs info. Then I said wire transfer, but I never got a screen that said which account the funds would be withdrawn from. Then, I was routed to the paper portion which said success. At this time, I still do not know how this application will be funded.
