United States | 05 March 2018It is disappointing that Genisys charges a fee to move money from from savings to checking. A few times I have forgotten to move money from savings to checking in order to cover a check. If Genesys has to move it, they charge a fee. The money for the check is already on deposit with Genisys, there shouldn't be a fee to move it from one account to the other. Previous CU's I've banked with have not done this. I'm considering changing CU's based on this. It just rubs me the wrong way.

United States | 05 March 2018I've been with Genisys for almost 25 yes now. I've received excellent customer service in person and over the phone at every branch I've visited. Loan rates are always competitive and fees are very minimal, especially compared to Banks as well as some credit unions.

United States | 01 March 2018I Have been with Genisys Credit Union for 3 months now and i have never made a very good decision ever i dont regret coming here the staff is very friendly at the branches. There was no wait to open my account i signed in and became a member in a matter of seconds i am only 17 years old and am looking to get a start at building credit and this bank knows how to do that. The only issue was that mobile pay was not working but by switching my debit card with a brand new one fixed it. I didnt even have to call to upgrade my checking to the brand new Genius account. My ideas to make my expiration more better is to update the mobile app more often and add newer features. but i am glad i am a member and staying a member!!!

United States | 22 February 2018I am very disappointed with the customer service I received. For some reason I was denied for the checking account. I have had no closed accounts, no defaults, etc, (I do believe there is something reported in error) so I am eagerly waiting for the letter of reason, which is not why I have a complaint. Considering I have great bank history and am interested in the youth programs, I just wanted some information regarding what I could do. The first person I spoke with Samantha was polite until she saw my denial. Instantly started to be very rude to me. I hung up and was still thinking about it. I called back just to verify if there were any other options that I could consider, or someone I could speak with regarding the decision, Katie was so rude. I understand there is not much info they can give me over the phone, but the questions I was asking were general questions. I even asked why they were being so rude, then she tried being nice again. Why would I want to bank with such horrible customer service?

United States | 20 February 2018I’m very conflicted with my feelings towards Genisys. In terms of banking, I have no issues. However, what good does that do if the every branch has terrible hours. I am finding that even after nearly 5 years of having Genisys, I still have to use Chase as my primary bank because Genisys refuses to have decent hours outside of the worlds stand working hours. The banking industry is a SERVICE industry, and your job is to SERVE your customers. With the hours Genisys holds (9-5 m-th with only late night being Friday?!?!), there is no way you can properly serve your customers. The average American and Genisys customer probably has to work in order to be a banking customer (ie keep you in business) so you should expand your hours to serve your customers outside of their working hours so they can actually bank. This frustration stems from a banking experience last week in which I made it to a branch within normal banking hours, to find only atm drive-thrus. I needed to make a deposit and had to circle the block to get back into the parking lot to find a locked door (DURING BANKING HOURS - side note, not the first time this has happened!!). I then had to make my deposit via atm, which left me with a 5 day hold! So that’s great that MY MONEY is held up because an error on your behalf. It’s enough for me, so basicllay stop using Genisys now.
