I only had a high yield savings account and wanted to know if I would be able to direct deposit into it. I called the Oxford Branch where my account was at and the associate who answered said "Yes, there's a way, what's your Name and Address?" I told her and right over the phone she gave me my account number and bank routing number! I said I felt uncomfortable that she just gave that over the phone but she was confident no one would be able to access my account with that info! Really!!? That's all the info you need to make a checkbook! There isn't any other info you need considering I could have been just reading you a name and address out of the white pages and poof that easily your going to be giving out my account number!! There is an ID protocol that must take place at a bank and that was not it! So I called the headquarters to voice my concern and right over the phone the women I spoke to there says "I'm sorry but your right that should never happen. You know what I'm going to change your account number to make you feel better until we get to the bottom of this, what's your current account number? Ok great, let me tell you your new one!." Are you kidding me! What is wrong with this Bank!? I called again to talk to someone else to complain about this inexcusable behavior coming from their headquarters now. If you have an account there I suggest you close it before you have to deal with the trouble of your money disappearing..2 days later when I went to close my account the branch manager said he'd never received a call from headquarters with this concern and then said the women who I spoke to was a veteran at his bank and had been there a long time and couldn't believe this happened. Then sat in silence staring at his computer screen for a few minutes before I asked him to print my check so I could go else where. Wouldn't you as a manager knowing this happened be so concerned for the welfare of your clients and want to reassure someone there money is safe there and be extremely appologic? The guy was just speechless and uncommunicative. By far not a normal reaction to this kind of situation. I guess my expectations of customer service and secure banking aren't able to be met here and neither are the Laws of Basic ID protocol at a bank.

The Auto Loan process should have taken about a week according to the online application. But mine is taking nearly 3 weeks. My information ended up on someone else's desk that took it off the fax machine and just put my info on their desk and forgot about it until I called to inquire. The person who was supposed to assist me in the loan process NEVER knew I sent the "purchase agreement" and current paycheck stub. This disorganization caused me to miss out on some great deals on vehicles. I did find another vehicle but I am still anxious if I will get it since I am still waiting (2 weeks now) for a call back to pick up the remaining balance from Genisys Credit Union so I can take the "check" to the dealership so I can pick up my vehicle. I guess the process is really 3 weeks and not 1 week like I was lead to believe.

Unable to reach customer service so end up calling branch. I've been a customer for many years, haven't had NSF an still hold some checks! Card was used fraudently, we weren't called, went to branch got new card after call card services and because it was Saturday?? Nothing g they could do???

If you have 1 dollar in your checking account, and you go and buy a pop with your debit card the bank charges you 28 dollars for an overdraft fee. real nice. your card doesnt get denied you get charged that fee. Its a rip off.

Overall a pretty good bank, but extremely slow service in the drive thru at branches. You shouldn't have to wait 20+ minutes to get service.

My father was with tcfcu, and then Genisys. I was on the account. We were concerned when tcfcu became Genisys, and discovered immediately, it was as good, and bettter services. Excellent service at every location.
