Very easy and good price

I have had had a multi cat policy for years (probably spent in the region of £3000) and never had to make a claim. My cat was hit by a car and sadly put to sleep. While the claim has been processed in good time (albeit half the cost of the total vet bill), the deduction from the final pay out due to me "cancelling my policy" mid contract is disgusting. You are basically penalising me for my cat dying. Disgraceful and hurtful at this really sad time. I will be leaving with my two other cats at the end of this contract so I hope that "fee" was worth it.

Very bad service, took 11 weeks to respond to a claim to say it had been declined. This was a few days after having our cat put to sleep. No one knows what they are talking about and the wrong advice was given. I will be cancelling my other policies with them and going elsewhere. VERY EASY TO SORT OUT ONLINE

For older pets their cover isn’t really worth anything, you are paying for nothing. Better to put some money aside for the big day. Also, beware if you are paying monthly, you need to pay the full amount before settling a claim. It was much cheaper just to pay the vet. Don’t bother.

Overall I have been happy with Healthy Pets Insurance, it covers our dog for up to 12months travelling abroad which other insurers do not do do. Over the last few years we have made 2 claims without any problems. I was disappointed with the renewal premium but taking out a new policy reduced the cost a lot , thankfully we did not have any pre existing conditions to consider.
