United Kingdom | 16 November 2024Airband signed me up in August and I am still waiting for it to be installed. BT have withdrawn my broadband and Airband cannot say when they will install it. They continue to send out flyers urging people to switch but in the end they cannot supply.

I live well within the largest village in the country and Airband took 5 weeks to figure out it's not commercially viable to supply me with a service, even though neighbours over the road receive their products! Yes I understand cost vs profit, however their communication throughout the 5 weeks where I'd already left my ISP was terrible; failed timelines, no call backs and a general malaise. Even their website postcode search is misleading as it basically makes promises it can't keep. My advise is stay with your ISP or Starlink (if super rural) until you get a firm date with AirBand, and good luck.

United Kingdom | 15 November 2024I have been using Airband since it was first available on Dartmoor & Exmoor and was the 6th household to sign up. The best we were getting from BT and others before then was 3Mb download and 0.25Mb upload as well as being offline for days or even weeks when squirrels chewed through the lines. Airband offer was 40Mb download and 10Mb upload. Remarkably every summer for the first 2 years the download jumped to around 60Mb. Recently EE mobile began giving 250Mb down & 30Mb up. I contacted Sarah at Airband with intention of leaving Airband as attracted by the EE deal. However, my smart TV consumes a large amount of data and the EE unlimited offer is actually 600Gb each month and the thought of being seriously throttled and cut off for repeat offending had me worried. Airband has very rarely given us concern. From time to time speed reduced to 15Mb or so but a call assured us about reasons. Sarah has now upgraded our package to 100Mb download and 20Mb uploaded. If the service continues to be as reliable as has been all these years we will be more than happy. Regards Rob
