United Kingdom | 01 March 2020We've just got back from South America, our 3rd holiday with Citrus. Yet again they didn't disappoint us. Our holiday was a 16 night tour to Peru, Argentina and Brazil, including excursions to Macchu Pichu, Iguazu Falls, Beunos Aires, with the most amazing Tango Show, finishing in Rio with trips to Sugar Loaf Mountain and Christ Redeemer. We had a few issues before travelling with getting a detailed itinerary (which us Brits like to have!) but having travelled twice before with Citrus to Italy/Venice and Bangcok, Cambodia and Vietnam, we should have known everything would be alright in the end! We would certainly recommend Citrus for tours and we look forward to booking another holiday with them soon.

United Kingdom | 01 March 2020It was our second booking with Citrus. Last year we did Golden Triangle and Goa which was very good. This year we just came back from Cambodia & Vietnam. It was so good, that now we stuck with what to do next as we think it will be difficult to match. Communications were excellent all way throughout, so were the tours guides, the drivers and a good selection of hotels with yummy breakfasts. An itinerary was incredible with few UNESCO sites such as Angor Wat, Halong Bay and Hoi An resort where we recharged our batteries in the middle of our trip - unforgettable memories. My husband enjoyed exploring Cu Chi Tunnels on his birthday and we had an amazing Valentine day with Hanoi city tour, a relaxing foot massage after that and a water puppet show in the evening, all inclusive in a tour, how thoughtful is that! What a day!!! So what are you waiting for, get booked now. Thank you Citrus!

United Kingdom | 28 February 2020Excellent friendly, efficient service. Enjoyed our trip so much last year to Sri Lanka that it made sense to book with them again to Cambodia/Vietnam. Citrus even took the trouble to suggest an airline change after the booking had taken place as the original airline was becoming a concern re recent cancellations - what a service!

United Kingdom | 27 February 2020We recently returned from a wonderful tour of Southern India. Our Guide Antony was waiting for us when we landed at Bangalore, he then stayed with us for the next 2 weeks. The tour was very comprehensive visiting many towns and places of interest. Antony was a first class guide he had a wealth of knowledge of all the places we visited. I can thoroughly recommend him, you will not go wrong if he accompanies you. Credit is also due to Citrus holidays for presenting us with such a fantastic package at a reasonable price

United Kingdom | 26 February 2020We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, arranged for us by Victor. We were well looked after and always felt we were seeing all the important sites. The guides spoke good English and were very informative. The accommodations were of a high standard and the food delicious! We will definitely be using Citrus again.

United Kingdom | 26 February 2020We have recently returned from an amazing trip to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam perfectly organised by Alex & co at Citrus. Throughout the almost 3 week trip agents were at every destination waiting for us and picking us up for trips. The guides were informative, fun and so helpful. Hotels were as it said on the tin 3*, but good 3*, spotlessly clean, in the heart of each culture and all had great local cuisine. The trips were absolutely excellent, Angkor Watt, Bridge over the river Kwai, killing fields, Kuchi Tunnels, Halong Bay to name but a few , all truly amazing thanks to well arranged transport and guides. We will definitely use Citrus again😎

United Kingdom | 25 February 2020We have just arrived back from a 15 Day Trip to India with Citrus. The trip was very well organised and everything ran smoothly. We spent five days in the Golden Triangle and ten days in Kerala. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit, especially the time spent in Kerala which is absolutely beautiful. Laiju our driver for the Kerala stage was excellent and helped make it a truly memorable holiday. In addition to being a very good driver who made us feel safe on the road, Laiju was helpful, informative, attentive, and was very good company. Accomodation, food, and the excursions were all to a good standard. There were only two thing we didnt like about the trip. One was being taken to "artisan" shops by the guides, to try and persusde us to buy goods we didn't really want at inflated prices. The second was the professional photographer package offered at the Taj Mahal through a photographer introduced to us by our guide. This took up a lot of our limited time, and turned out to be more expensive than advertised. However overall we had a great time and would recommend the Citrus trip as a good way to get a flavour of India. Hopefuly you will also get a driver as good as Laiju.

United Kingdom | 24 February 2020This is our second trip to India using Citrus Holidays. The first was good the second even better. From the very start of booking the trip we found 'Danny' who answered the phone, to be very helpful and answered every query we threw at him,he was very efficient and documentation came through promptly. We found the organization of the trip from Bengalaru to the final destination at Poovah to be superb. The schedule through each stop was well planned and researched and had something for everyone in our small group of four. The Palaces, jeep tours, wild life and houseboat excursions were all included in the price with our wonderful driver come guide Raigan running around after us getting tickets and offering advice. We could not have wished for a better person to take care of us for the duration of the trip. I cannot think of a single negative comment. Throughout the holiday the accommodation was very good as was the quality of the food. We were fortunate to be allocated a mini bus for our trip which allowed us to move around seats as we travelled. As stated this is our second trip with Citrus no doubt a third will follow as their holidays are great value for money, interesting and a thoroughly marvelous experience. I would like to mention our driver for the trip. His name is Raigan Mathew of Ronald Tours and Travels working for Citrus throughout our 10 days with him he was always punctual, smart and informative with a pleasant manner and we cannot praise him highly enough. In fact if/when we go back we will endeavour to secure his services again.

United Kingdom | 24 February 2020A wonderful trip organised by Citrus travelling around 1500 miles from Bangalore to Poovar in a spacious mini bus driven by Raigan our driver for the whole trip. Although there were some minor issues I have given the trip 4 stars overall. Our driver Raigan made the trip for us with his wide knowledge and information about the areas we passed through. He was friendly and attentive, smart and clean even though he was sleeping in the mini bus (in the hotel car parks I presume) overnight. He enjoyed his job and we got to know his family as we progressed. His openness helped us enjoy our trip even more! Raigan took care of all the tickets needed for the various excursions as did our guide Maneesh who showed us around Mysore and this meant we had no stress at all getting into the right queues, knowing when to take our shoes off etc. The hotel quality differed throughout the trip and in the Casino Hotel in Kochin we had to change rooms as the room stunk of damp, the bed and linen was damp and the kettle and phone didn’t work. We accepted an alternative room but had to call housekeeping as there was dried blood on the underside of the duvet.Yuk! The swimming pool in Mysore was on the roof alongside a restaurant. The place was filthy with pigeon poop. The pigeons were living up there and drinking from the pool. We swam in the pool but I had an upset stomach for the remainder of the trip and wouldn’t recommend taking children up there. The quality of food (dinner and breakfast) differed throughout the trip with the best food at Raddison Blu in Bangalore and worst in a Poovar, although we could always find something to eat. Some of the promised attractions did not come off i.e. no wine tasting on the vineyard visit as it was election time and the wine barrels had been locked for the duration:( Also, a couple of sightseeing things in Kochin didn’t happen as we arrived on the wrong day and they were closed :( Overall, we had a good trip although had I known how high Ooty and Wayanad were (7000 ft!) and we had to drive up 37 hairpin bends up a mountain to get to them, and you are literally on the edge of cliffs sometimes where the monsoon had washed away the roads, I definitely wouldn’t have booked this particular trip as I’m terrified of heights. The itinerary really should call this out clearly so that an alternative trip can be sought. At times it was reminiscent of some of the hairy scary roads that Top Gear would take on although my husband and our friends wondered why I was making such a fuss! Raigan handed us over to 2 other drivers in the highest places, a land rover trip up the hair pin bends and a bus trip up to Wayanad. For me this aspect of the trip was awful. The Indian people are friendly and warm but they can be very pushy when you try to browse their shops. Everyone wants your custom even when you clearly have no intention to buy. We had to leave shops to get away from the sales pressure! However, at the Casino hotel shop in Kochin, the girl there was delightful. She allowed us to browse at our leisure and we made purchases without pressure. Overall there is much poverty in the states the trip passes through and the towns and villages are dirty with unfinished roads and rubbish strewn everywhere. The traffic is chaotic but Raigan managed to deliver us safely to every resort. One day was 8 hours spent in the bus so my least favourite day. The trip showed us both the lovely countryside, dirty towns/cities and the coast but it made me very glad to be English!

United Kingdom | 23 February 2020Our Citrus tour of southern India was absolutely magnificent. From the moment we arrived at Bangalore to be greeted by our smiling driver, Akbar we had a fantastic experience. Every day we were looked after so well by our driver, Akbar who was always courteous and caring. He expertly managed the crazy Indian traffic and the narrow mountain roads so that even the long car journeys were enjoyable. The hotels were all great with gorgeous Indian food. The pools were a welcome treat after a day of sight seeing. The experience in Wayanad was unforgettable as was the night on the house boat. The final destination was a real paradise on the coast. This was a totally stress free trip with memorable experiences every day. We will certainly book with Citrus again

United Kingdom | 22 February 2020We have just returned from our 4th Citrus Holiday and yet again have had a wonderful trip. Everything worked like clockwork, even though at times it was quite a complicated tour. All hotels were of a high standard and all centrally located. Our tour contacts in Nepal and India were extremely helpful and always willing to impart their knowledge. Our drivers, Mr Amar in Nepal and Man Singh in India were first class and all guides were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. All in all a wonderful hoiiday which has left us with many happy memories. Will look forward to our next trip with Citrus Holidays.

United Kingdom | 21 February 2020We have never traveled to India before and as a first trip it was superb. We were met at the airport by our driver who took good care of us throughout the holiday. It was great to have a source of local knowledge and experience on hand. The itinerary was well balanced and suited to our interests and tastes. If we went again we would have more confidence to travel around on our own in the free afternoons/evenings to see a bit more of the local culture.

United Kingdom | 21 February 2020We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Golden Triangle, then onto Kerala. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was how much was packed into every single day - sometimes, it would have been nice if the programme allowed a little downtime. There was a lot of travelling and we stayed in some amazing hotels but more often than not, didn’t have time to enjoy the facilities and as a couple in our 60’s, we found it quite tiring. Having said that, we wouldn’t hesitate to book another holiday through Citrus as they took care of every single aspect of the holiday and everything went very smoothly.

United Kingdom | 21 February 2020Started off promising. They were great at suggesting additional trips or add ons to our holiday, great at building a holiday. Once agreed they were very pushy for payments. Everything had to be booked immediately as they couldn't guarantee space - which turned out to be utter rubbish. We weren't allowed any time to think if we wanted additional bits, all had to be booked immediately. They changed our flights and demanded more money 22 hours before flying. Communication whilst out on holiday was extremely poor when things went wrong. They failed to contact one person in our group to tell them her flight had been cancelled due to Coronavirus, then after 2 hours at the airport was told by Citrus she needed to pay an additional £200 for a new flight (the airline by this point had already transferred her for free to an new flight). Seems we would have done the same and didn't need to pay more for another flight. The wrong names were given to several hotels (our names had been mixed with another couples or were just plain incorrect). A couple on our trip had commented that the company seem to have taken a turn for the worse. They had emails address to unknown people and generally felt disappointed with the current service. Can't fault Antiquity tours who were responsible for our trips but I won't be using Citrus again.

United Kingdom | 20 February 2020A really great trip that is unbelievable value for money. Everything is planned and our driver, Sree Kanth, took good care of us. Nothing was too much trouble and he was smart and punctual. The hotels we stayed at were varied and of good quality although in one we had to change rooms as the aroma of mould was a little too overwhelming. As this was our first experience of India it was good to have someone who knew the area and how to navigate the somewhat interesting driving methods employed by other road users. Recommended.

United Kingdom | 19 February 2020Wonderful trip to Kerala. Beautiful country and lovely people. Our driver for the trip was Sajeev and he was fantastic. Lovely man, a very good driver and could not have done more to make our trip perfect. He was very professional and knowledgeable and ensured everything ran to plan and anything we needed was obtained. We received a very detailed itinerary from Citrus and any queries prior to the holiday were handled very efficiently. The hotels we stayed in were really lovely with very good food and were very comfortable. Loved the Tea Harvester with stunning views and Pepper County with Cyril, the owner, who could not do enough for us.The night on the houseboat was a fantastic experience, great food and hospitality on board and the last few days at Isola Di Cocco, by the pool was a perfect way to end the holiday. We saw an amazing martial arts show, gave an elephant a bath and she made sure we had a shower as well. All in all a wonderful trip and would love to visit Kerala again in the future.
