Have just returned from a tour of India organized by Jim of Citrus Holidays. This was a trip of a life time with nothing left to chance, every detail was taken care of by Jim. We toured the golden triangle with our amazing driver Soni & with tour guides at each stop that offered second to none service & knowledge-we were exposed to the wonders of India in first class style! We extended our tour with 4 days in Goa, enjoying rest & relaxation ocean side! Jim took care of all our travel needs to the south of India were we ended our trip of a life time with our former parish priest-as stated before nothing was left undone, everything detail was taken care of & I highly recommend Citrus!!! 5 stars all the way!

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday to India's Golden Triangle and locations further south, but there were some negative points in respect of the whole experience. We paid a substantial premium to have direct flights, rather than stopovers. We had a direct flight on our outward journey, but on our return, had a 4 hour stopover in Delhi airport. Also, the 'direct' flight was booked with Air India. OMG, what an awful airline. I have never been on an aircraft (Boeing 777-300), with such uncomfortable seats, and I include budget airlines in that statement. The staff in general were morose and unhelpful, great on a 9 hour flight!! I would say that you have to be careful when booking 'extras' with Citrus at the decision making time. We had two drivers, Ram Pol and Sajeev. Both were really friendly and helpful and got us about with a smile on their faces and didn't get us killed, despite the best efforts of the Indian drivers (Seriously, if you are in any way a nervous car passenger, think very carefully about going on a tour to India. The driving is crazy and downright dangerous on occasions). I think Citrus should specify a minimum standard/size of car for a tour when you have so much travelling to do, as the second car we had was a little uncomfortable. In general, the hotels we had booked were pretty good and the food we were served at every location was excellent. Really enjoyed the Indian cuisine. Pretty much everything had been arranged by Citrus in respect of entry to the majority of the sites and attractions, which made for a hassle free holiday. The guides that had been arranged varied from superb through to disappointing, but all in all, a great experience. I would definitely use Citrus again, with a few provisos.

Our driver in Kerala, Babu Edappally, was excellent, not just in his driving skills but in the considerate and helpful manner that he showed throughout our trip. He is an asset to your organisation. R J Ruck

We have just returned from a Southern India tour with Citrus. What a memorable experience! Firstly our driver Abhilash Johny was fantastic- expertly driven, Reliable, good English , knowledgeable guide. He kept us well organised and on time - nothing was too much trouble- communicating via What’s app And - ‘hot spot ‘ as we needed - he also would give us a spare phone to contact him - if we were on a walk about- and then he would pick us up. His car was clean and comfortable and there was fresh bottled water every day. It takes the worry out of traveling. Traveling in India is an experience- the roads are quite poor in places , Bangaloru and Mysore can be complicated by cows goats and hand carts at every turn. Some days may be 6 hours in the car - it’s not that the distance is so great it’s just the time it takes to travel it. ‘This is India’ as Abhilash would say. Some of the hotels are faded in their glory but nonetheless the service Food and facilities were excellent. The tour itself is well planned - Lots to see and do - and there is still time to relax. We were lucky enough to see a variety of Wildlife birds flowers- We loved it. My advice to anyone considering this sort of holiday- is do it , but also do your research on the places you are visiting- you may want to see something That is not on your itinerary- but your driver will be happy to accommodate it. We are in our late fifties, we are not particularly fit or energetic but we are fully mobile . There is a considerable amount of walking/steps involved, Some uneven terrain but it was perfectly manageable in trainers. Travel a bit lighter if you can, Also you need a dull T-shirt around elephants- bright colours upset them 😊

Just finishing a really great holiday exploring Southern India, our driver Titus enhanced our experience with his knowledge of both the area the sites history and cuture, and his ability to get us to the front of any queues. I can honestly say that Titus turn a great experience into a truly wonderful experience. Nothing was to much trouble and he modified the agenda according to our request. 5 stars. Les

January 31, 2020..My friends and I took a trip to India using Citrus Holidays with the Golden Triangle and Goa Resort extension. Our private tour included a bus and our excellent driver Soni did a fabulous job bringing us to all our venues. All our local guides were extremely knowledgeable and enhanced our sights with actually being awesome photographers. Our tour organizer Jim did an excellent job arranging a trip to Surandai which we added to the end of our holiday. All the hotels were absolutely wonderful which included amazing Buffet Breakfasts. Jim’s attention to all the details let us relax and enjoy our beautiful trip. I will definitely use Citrus Holidays again! Micheline from Canada 🇨🇦

We have just had a fantastic holiday ‘Southern India Prívate Tour’ it was a full itinerary with varied and interesting experiences (not all temples and churches) Our drivers name was Titus and if you are lucky enough to be allocated him as a driver then you will be very well looked after. He was always punctual and he greeted us warmly every morning with a big smile. Each morning we stepped into his car which had been been washed and cleaned inside and out and there was a large bottle of water waiting for each of us in the car. Titus was very knowledgeable about everything we asked about and he chose the comfort breaks carefully so that we had clean facilities to use where possible. The experience of a private driver is definitely the way to travel to get the most out of your holiday. The stay on the Houseboat was so relaxing but the highlight of the trip for us was our stay at Wayanad jungle resort. On the whole the hotels were very good, a couple of them being excellent with a couple of ‘tired’ ones thrown in but overall good. Taking into account everything we’ve seen and experienced on this trip we believe our holiday to have been great value for money and would certainly look at booking with Citrus in the future

Citrus holidays advertised a special discount on a holiday to Seville, Spain for 4 nights from £259. When I put in my february dates and the departure airport, it stated £279 per person. When I tried to book, it asked for all of our details, which I filled in, but then a message came up saying someone would call me. As no one called, I rang them the next day. I was then told the price had gone up to £370. Yet when I looked again on the website, they are still advertising for the dates I want from Gatwick airport for £279. This is misrepresentation. I will not be using this firm.

We have just returned from our holiday in Southern India. We were met at Bangalore Airport by our driver Vishwa who was our driver. He made our holiday! He was a really safe driver who organised comfort breaks for us as well as stopping at points of interest along the way. He was very knowledgeable about the places we visited and endlessly patient with our questions. He managed our busy itinerary and we felt that he gave us a real taste of this fascinating area and an understanding of life in modern India. We were very pleased with our hotels which were clean comfortable and well staffed. We enjoyed all of the buffet suppers and appreciated the western style breakfasts. The itinerary was varied with something for everyone. We bid a sad farewell to Vishwa when we reached Poovar at the end of our adventure but appreciated the relaxation before our homeward flight. Based on our experience we would thoroughly recommend Citrus Holidays....

I am completely appalled at the lack of empathy shown by your admin team. Your company cares more about making money than showing some human decency. I will be sure to let everyone know not to do business with Citrus Holidays and I regret reaching out to your company in the first place. Life happens, plans change. I wasn’t asking lightly for a refund or a future voucher- my mother is dying. The fact that that doesn’t matter to your admin team is really telling of your morals and ethics as a company. I emailed Citrus Holidays on January 25th detailing my mother's condition- we found out she has stage 4 cancer and does not have very long to live. I emailed Citrus Holidays asking them if they could make an exception and offer a refund or even a voucher to use in the future. I attached a copy of my mother's final report outlining the specifics of her condition to which I received the following email: Thank you for your email and we do empathize with you. Unfortunately the arrangements booked are non-refundable and non-changeable. As the arrangements are non-refundable and non-changeable, we are unable to offer you a voucher for future use as requested, as all payments have been made for the arrangements booked and no refund will be due on cancellation. If you wish to proceed with the cancellation on this holiday for all 4 of you, it would be at a 100% loss. A cancellation invoice would be issued to you, which you can use to claim for your loss, via your travel insurance co. Where is the empathy and humanity? Never again will I do business with such a company.

My husband and I have just returned from the Southern India Explorer Tour with Private Chauffeur, which we enjoyed tremendously, finding it a fantastic holiday with a varied programme, excellent hotels and a superb driver/guide. We were new to the format of having a private chauffeur and found it added tremendously to our knowledge of the country and our enjoyment. Kaanan, our driver was not only the calmest, most skilled driver who gave us the smoothest ride ever, he was also knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind, considerate and endlessly patient answering our questions. Despite having a full programme we never felt rushed or hurried and have come home revitalised, amazed that we did and saw so much. We look forward to holidaying with Citrus in the future.

Southern India Explorer Tour with Private Chauffeur. We really enjoyed our holiday. Good hotels and the our driver Arun was great. I was a little apprehensive about having a private driver, but it worked really well. He was helpful and knowledgable and each time we stopped we often met others from the same tour so it was nice to share meals and experiences with fellow travellers. Itinerary was varied with a mix of cultural and wildlife. The Kathakali show was interesting but may a bit too long! Would have been nice to have seen more of Bangalore or have been nearer to the centre. Loved the Houseboat stay very chilled, basic but adequate, the food on board was good. Lovely relaxing end to the holiday with the last hotel and the boat trip through the mangrove was excellent. This break met all our expectations and would definitely book again with Citrus

Just got back from Kerala single tour. Mixed review in some things fabulous, others needing improvement. Tour bus was inadequate. No seat belts( could invalidate insurance) not comfortable for all day travel. 10 day tour was too rushed 14 would have worked better. First and last hotels brilliant, proper holiday hotels with facilities second to none. All others should be classed as Motels with no facilities. No lounge ,bar facilities, no pool. These hotels were of a good quality and could not be faulted otherwise. All day travel on extremely poor single file nose to tail traffic and uncomfortable mini bus does not make for a good holiday. Some tours were missed as timetable did not allow. No Tour Manager , driver was supposed to do all that. Now for the good stuff. Kerala beautiful, people really friendly and helpful.Tours especially the Houseboat was incredible. This tour does need improvement but I thoroughly enjoyed most of it.

Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Bangkok My husband and I have returned from Citrus trip from the above places some weeks ago. Just want to advise others, that in this tour, they either have local flights which is more expensive or travelling by coaches from Cambodia to Vietnam and Vietnam to Laos, which is cheaper. Ashley, from Citrus travel, in short notice had arranged our trip excellently. Thai airline was great with lovely food and most of the internal flights were good . Most of the hotels were well chosen, with comfort and convenience, especially in Seam Reap, Saigon, Hoi An and Laos. In Hanoi, the hotel room should have been delux rather than superior as it was in a very convenient, central location but very basic room .In Bangkok, the hotel and area should have been upgraded. In Phnom Penh, I also felt the hotel room should have been upgraded but I must say, that it was in a very convenient location , looking over the palace. Buffet breakfast in most of the hotels were excellent The tours were superb and tour guides were very knowledgable and professional. The pick ups and drop offs from and to the airport were perfect with excellent timings . We thoroughly enjoyed our trip put together by Ashley and recommend Citrus travel to others . Mrs Ashraf .

We booked a Cambodia and Vietnam tour through Citrus and travelled last November. The agent was Ryan who was not only efficient and courteous, he was able to tweak it around a little to suit our requirements. He also managed to get us premium economy flights to and from Vietnam at what we considered to be a good price😁 The holiday went very well, every pick up, transfer and tour was on time and every guide was courteous, proficient in English and very knowledgeable. Will definitely use them and hopefully Ryan again👍

What an adventure! From the moment we were met at the airport to our final days in Kerala. We saw so much in 15days and everything went so smoothly. You'd expect something to go wrong, but it didn't. The drivers look after you very well and ensure your experience is great as well as keeping you safe and well. Abilash, our driver in Kerala, was especially great. He became a very good friend to us and made our holiday one we'll never forget. For us,it was a perfect trip. Perhaps our only criticism would be The Four Points Hotel, since there was nowhere to sit outside and have a drink. It has beautiful gardens too, but nowhere to enjoy them. Also I'm glad I didn't make it to the Elephant sanctuary, as we heard from others how disturbing it was. The elephants are treated poorly and one elephant was seen to be tearful after being ridden. I know I would have been horrified at this. An elephant was seen to be cruelly beaten too. This should be investigated. We particularly loved the Cardamon plantation bungalows. We were made very welcome and had a lovely time there. The family invited us to join in the Diwali celebrations and were very eager to please us. The Houseboat Was The highlight though. We felt very special there. Beautiful scenery, very attentive crew and delicious meals. We were really spoiled! I highly recommend your Company and this holiday, particularly. It couldn't have gone smoother and will forever be remembered. Thank you Citrus Holidays and all your staff
