Just returned from Golden Triangle and Kerala odessy. Just perfect! Cannot fault Citrus, everything went like clockwork. Amazed at some poor reviews! What could have happened! Would definitely recommend this company.

Southern India Explorer Tour This was a very well constructed tour of this part of India. It took in all aspects from culture to nature. We especially enjoyed the relaxed pace of our trip. All the hotels were of a high standard. The buffet selections did sometimes include western options and when there was no choice we found that the restaurant staff very accommodating in cooking an alternative. Our driver and guide Sreejith was well informed and knowledgeable. He was happy to answer a range of questions covering India life. He is a fantastic driver and well adept at dealing with the somewhat erratic nature of driving in India. He was alway cheery and eager to accommodate any requests. A thoroughly nice guy. All in all this was a fantastic holiday and we would not hesitate in booking with Citrus again.

We have just returned from a fantastic tour of Southern India. The itinerary and arrangements all happened as described. The hotels were all as expected with the exception of one which was below the standard. Our driver Vishwa was friendly and informative and his local knowledge and knowledge of Indian history, culture and wildlife certainly added to our experience. We would recommend this trip and driver.

Efficient booking service

Every thing went smoothly from beginning to end. The hotels, food and activities were all good. Our driver sajeev was very helpful,he spoke good English and even took photos for us. He was proud of Kerala and keen to show it to us.

Everyone I spoke to was very helpful. However we booked our holiday in November 2019 but the flight times changed in February meaning we were due to lose a day at the beginning and a day at the end on a 7 day holiday. This was unacceptable and no obvious remedy was offered. We were told to contact the airline. There were no flights at the times we were given when we booked so had no choice but to change our flights to the day before at the beginning and a day later at the end in order get two days in each city. We didn't have to pay for the change of flights but it meant we had to pay for two extra hotel nights at a cost of £183. This we found difficult but we didn't want to lose our holiday.

We have just returned from a 4 week tour with Citrus holidays which took us to Northern and Southern India and finished with 10 days in Sri Lanka. It was our first trip to the sub continent and the first time we have used Citrus. The holiday was very well organised from start to finish with all travel arrangements and transfers well organised and punctual. The drivers and local guides spoke good English and were all very knowledgable and engaging. The standard of the hotels varied from good to excellent. A couple of our flights involved very early starts and in hindsight it might have been looking to see if it was possible to change them. The itineraries were great but did involve rather too many visits to retailers who in some cases were quite pushy and I’m not convinced that they always good value ? I would like to give particular praise to Kannan our driver in Southern India. He was absolutely delightful and very knowledgable always being able to answer our many questions along the way. He was always cheerful and his driving was fantastic. He has a very calm and assured manner and was a great credit to the company. Our driver in Sri Lanka was called Zainal and he was also really good. He was really keen to know that we were happy and adapted the itinerary to avoid some of the retail opportunities as we were all shopped out from our time in India . His driving was also really good and had a very cheerful personality with a good sense of humour. Overall a great 4 weeks away and we won’t hesitate to use Citrus again

We had a great visit to India. Citrus picked a very varied itinerary from Bangalore to Kerala. We visited Mysore palace which was fantastic and travelled through amazing scenery. It was such a varied itinerary. Each place we stayed was very different which made the holiday very interesting. The hotel at Wayanad was particularly good. It was set in a forest area in the hills with wild animals in the hotel grounds. Also the night in the house boat at Allepey was a unique and wonderful experience. Our final stop was at a heritage hotel on the coast at Poovar in a fantastic location for a final wind down. Our driver, Vishnu, was great. Indian traffic is a real challenge to us, but he picked his way through it with skill and confidence. He even stopped at his home on the way where his mother made us food which was very special. Citrus certainly know India well to put together such a great itinerary.

Very good service will use again

Fabulous tour through Southern India courtesy of Jim and Antony. Jim, who organised the whole thing and was extremely helpful, and Antony, who was always there with his comfortable, clean car along with a bottle of water in the armrest, first thing in the morning to drive us safely to the next place of interest. The standard of accommodation was excellent throughout and terrific value for money. We chose to end our tour with an extended stay at our last stop in Poovar, which was a great idea as the distances we had travelled were considerable and the Isola Di Cocco was 'the icing on the cake'. We would certainly recommend Citrus Holidays. Thankyou Jim and Antony.

We have booked 3 trips with Citrus and would not fault them. They are very accommodating and we have been able to customise the trip to our requirements. All the locations and tours are well organised with the guides selected well. All the guides are knowledgeable. Our driver on all 3 occasions has been brilliant. We have been lucky to request the same driver each time. We would visit again definitely and again customise our trip as required. Hotels overall 90% have been good. Would visit same hotels again. Would definitely use Citrus again.

Great service and ease of booking, all documents sent through promptly. When I had to make an amendment to my booking it was done, quickly and efficiently and Viktor rang back when he said he would.

Had a fantastic tour of south India with our wonderful driver Titus. Starting from Bangalore we travelled down to Poovar in the south of Kerala, through Mysore and Ooty. We’ll never forget the night spent on the backwaters in allepey. Titus really looked after us, was an excellent guide and made sure we had everything we needed, going out of his way when one of us was unwell to get medicine and make sure we were comfortable. We were really impressed at how smoothly and efficiently all the arrangements worked - 5 stars all round.

We booked a guided tour to India in May 2019 and after some extensive research we put our trust in Citrus Holidays. The itinerary, the overall cost, and the inclusive meals and transport arrangements seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Well I have to say that we were not disappointed. We flew to Delhi where we were picked up by our Chauffeur who stayed with us for 5 days while we explored the magical sights sounds and history of The Golden Triangle. No photograph can ever compare to seeing the Taj Mahal in real life. After completing our tour of Agra, Delhi and Jaipur we were whisked off smoothly back to Delhi airport where we jumped on an Air India flight Down to Bangalore to begin our Southern India trip.We were met again by our driver who would stayed with us for the next two weeks while trundling down through fantastic countryside experiencing the incredible changing landscapes, meeting friendly people, staying at wonderful hotels and sampling delicious food and witnessing the complicated history of this vast and incredibly interesting country.Titus,our guide was courteous,friendly,kind,and very knowledgable.He was always smiling, he had a cheeky sense of humour and nothing was too much trouble for him.So overall, we had a fantastic holiday with Citrus. Everything was organised by them and every thing went smoothly. We will definitely use Citrus again for our next big adventure

South India tour was amazing. Was a great introduction to South India and very well organised from the moment we arrived at the airport to being dropped back for our journey home. The tour involves a lot of travel in the car so we were delighted we had such a good, helpful, knowledgeable and flexible driver in Shree who looked after us so well. We will be back!

We are just finishing our Golden Triangle tour , finishing at Terra Paraiso resort Goa for an extended 5 days at the beach . Our 16 days trip to South India in the state of Karnataka, kerala and Tamil Nadu went flawless. Krishna our driver was excellent, curtious, well knowledged and made our trip so comfortable and utmost enjoyable and he made us feel VIP throughout. Hats off to Krishna. Would highly recommend Citrus Holidays, local travel company Travel Bug and of course Krishna making our trip beyond expectation and would say WOW; words cannot describe beautiful hotels unique in their own way and staffs excellent service of high standard. Can go on writing each day of our journey would be less. Would highly recommend to family, friends and associates.

This is the third holiday for which we have used citrus. We find the company represents very good value and the staff on holiday generally very helpful and courteous, if of varying standard in terms of guiding. Although we had a very good holiday again it was somewhat marred Buy some miss information concerning access ability. I had informed citrus of my diminished mobility but this message was not passed to all hotels and guides. Although we surmounted the problem is this caused, I had also requested the option to upgrade from the ubiquitous and sometimes rather bland buffet to à la cart in one or two hotels. No effort was made by citrus to affect this and I was disappointed that no citrus representative met us at any stage to discuss our experience. I am still hoping to hear back from them but if this is not satisfactory will not use the company again.
