I had an amazing surgeon at Harley Street clinic and he was very comforting and understanding of how nervous I was. Would definitely recommend!

United Kingdom | 23 January 2025I contacted Optical Express in Aberdeen as I was on the NHS waitlist to get cataracts removed and was told this could take at least 52 weeks so decided to go for the private option. From the very first consultation with Ross and Scott you could not have been treated any better. They looked after you and explained the whole procedure. I had 3 weeks to wait until surgery which was in Edinburgh and again could not have been treated better. I was vey apprehensive about the procedure but each member of staff that you met made you feel so much at ease. The procedure itself went well with all being explained every step of the way which was great. The aftercare was great and nothing was too much trouble for them even booking taxi to take us back to hotel for the night. Next morning had to go back for check up and again went to precision with all concerned being fab. Had my monthly check up yesterday back in Aberdeen and everything went to plan, treated with respect during each eye test to make sure everything had gone to plan which it did. Music came to my ears when Scott said all was perfect and that was me released. Thank you Scott & Co. in Aberdeen and to all involved in the procedure in Edinburgh

United Kingdom | 23 January 2025If I could turn back time, I would never have chosen to undergo a procedure with Optical Express. The experience has been chaotic and deeply traumatising. Surgery days felt disorganised and stressful, with staff physically running between patients. Appointments were often not scheduled properly and aftercare advice varied depending on who I spoke to. Unfortunately, the outcome has been life-altering in the worst possible way. I’m unable to drive in the dark and my vision remains unfocused at both short and long distances. Despite undergoing lens replacement and corrective LASIK, my eyesight is still not right, and driving at night has become a terrifying experience. If a friend were considering this, I would urge them with everything in me to avoid Optical Express entirely. It’s simply not worth the risk. If you have any doubts, do your own online research into 'Optical Express Reviews' and see for yourself. Don’t be swayed by the volume of Optical Express marketing material—pay attention to feedback from real people.

United Kingdom | 22 January 2025A friend recommended calling Cardiff Optical Express for a consultation when I was thinking about having my eyesight corrected. I took his advice and am so glad I did. The consultation went perfectly, every member of staff I made contact with were so helpful and friendly, I was instantly put at ease. I decided the surgery at Cardiff Optical Express was exactly what I wanted and within weeks I was there having the lense replacement surgery. The surgery itself was totally pain free. It was a little scary but, again, the manner of all staff made it super simple. The surgeon and staff again were so efficient I was done before I realised. The aftercare was just as professional and super efficient. I now have 20/20 vision and so wish I hadn’t waited so long. If anyone is considering having corrective eye surgery, I 100% recommend Cardiff Optical Express

United Kingdom | 22 January 2025I booked an appointment with the Glasgow Branch under the understanding, I could choose form Laser surgery or lens replacement. I was given cost for Laser, starting at £1495 per eye or a fixed price of £2000 per eye for Lens replacement, I was asked for a holding deposit of £50 which would only be taken out my account if I failed to turn up on the day, which seemed fair enough. 3 Days before my appointment, I received a call to confirm I would be attending, at which point, I was also advised I would only be suitable for Lens replacement due to my age 57 and that the price for that, STARTS at £1995 per eye, however, could be as much as £11,000 for both eyes. After thinking about the misleading information I was originally given, I decided to cancel my appointment and was advised by Brian, I would be charged £50 to cancel. I tried to explain I was told the £50 would only be taken if I failed to show on the day, to which he replied, its company policy to still charge the £50, however, he would pass to customer services to review.

The equipment used is all hi tec and they make sure you are comfortable , the operation didn't hurt at all and was quick, the after care has been excellent and everything was explained well. Today's follow up appointment was very positive I have on day one 2020+ vision and all has gone well with no problems at all. Would definitely recommend I'm amazed at how well I can see on day one. United Kingdom | 22 January 2025Honestly, was really a great experience, Christian and the optician Jumana make me feel really comfortable they were really friendly easy to talk to, reply to all questions and doubts and apart for that really good and in control for what they are doing; they always make me feel secure and explained any single step through the check. None of the procedure was create any discomfort or pain was actually everything quite fun and very interesting. I definitely suggest this to everyone that wanted to have the eyes check and see what the outcome for a laser surgery or just to know what’s the result. Selene
