Had full lens replacement surgery in both eyes at Optical Express Milton Keynes, and the whole process from start to finish was fantastic. Had follow up appointment today and it has been hugely successful, woke up and could already see the alarm clock!! All staff, opticians and clinicians extremely helpful, friendly and professional would not hesitate to recommend.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!! Booked an appointment to discuss laser eye surgery. The appointment was then cancelled following a conversation with a member of staff at Optical express who called the Tuesday morning prior to the appointment. On discussing what I had booked the appointment for it transpires that I wouldn't need laser treatment but lens replacement and that this was only in Glasgow and Manchester. I advised that I wasn't too happy about this and that I would see my optician again and if my eyes hadn't changed since last test over a year ago then I would book for this surgery. The optical express staff member then agreed to cancel this appointment. I then received a call an hour later from Glasgow asking for a £500 deposit to secure my booking. I advised that I wasn't doing this yet until I checked my eyes hadn't changed to which a very rude lady advised me that my eyes would not have changed since I was 18. I proceeded to advise this lady that my eyes were perfect until I was 40. At no time in any of these conversations was I told that if I did not attend Saturdays appointment which was now deemed unnecessary that I would still be charged. If I had been made aware on both phone calls I would have attended as I was in carlisle Saturday morning. I am absolutely disgusted with the hard sale and as such now being told I will be charged following my optician appointment I will not be considering optical express for any future treatment. I have now Received an email stating that I will be charged £50 for non-attendance of an appointment that had been booked for despite being advised that optical express would be cancelling it as it was deemed unnecessary. Absolutely joke of a company and the hard sale they tried for me to pay a deposit of £500 was horrendous. I will not be recommending this company and will be warning anyone thinking of surgery to use another company. I expect there will be the same generic/we have done nothing wrong/refer to terms and conditions as they've put on all other complaints. I hadn't even been given the choice to attend the appointment to discuss as they called instead and told I wasn't appropriate so why take a deposit.....its a money making scheme and can only imagine how many other people have essentially been scammed this way!

My experience with the team at Optical Express in Bristol has been absolutely first class in every way possible. From the moment of the first introductory appointment I felt like I was in safe hands. The professionalism, friendliness, and calm nature from Stefano was excellent and just what I needed to settle my nerves and answer the hundreds of questions that I had. The follow-up appointment and communication in between right up to the day of the surgery was also great. The Lasik surgery went beautifully and I had no issues whatsoever. For those worried about what it is like - it really is absolutely nothing at all. You walk in with your coat, lie down on the chair, have some eye drops, and look at a light for literally a few seconds (35 seconds on my RHS eye, 25 seconds on the LHS eye)….and thats it! You are surrounded by any amazing team who keep you really calm, keep the experience light-hearted and count down everything so you know whats going on. 7 minutes later after having walked into the surgery room you are literally standing in the street being able to see perfectly with a bag of eye drops - you feel completely REBORN! Luca the surgeon was a top guy and really made me feel reassured about everything. I had no pain, didn't even take a paracetamol afterwards, and my vision has been stunning ever since - achieved two lines clearer than 20:20 after 24 hours. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much Optical Express!!

After being told I could not have the top end lens replacement in my left eye the surgeon felt he might be able to tweak it…. Well I now have 20/20 vision so am delighted!

Had lasek on both eyes, every thing was explained perfectly from the first appointment right through to the after care. The procedure it's self is quick and painless felt some discomfort the first night then nothing the next day. My vision is now 20/20. Would 100% recommend.

After booking a consultation at the Preston branch we have taken time to think about the options available and what would work best for us (both myself & my husband wanted corrective surgery). We appreciated the follow up emails but we never felt under any pressure to book in. Once surgery was booked in each step was more information, checking that all was ok. Finally a zoom call with your surgeon gave you reassurance about everything regarding outcome and on the day of surgery. After surgery the aftercare is excellent with several appointments booked to check everything and an opportunity to chat about any worries. Nothing was too much trouble. We were very well looked after by all staff at the clinic and especially at the Preston branch.

I had lens replacement and YAG surgery with optical express. The cost was just under £10,000. Although my vision was improved, I subsequently suffered with severe floaters in my right eye. My vision was and still is impaired in that eye as a result. I had to escalate to the chief executive of Optical Express to get my concerns looked in to. Essentially they have said there is nothing they can do. I am now paying privately (again) to have the floaters removed. Not the outcome I was hoping for.

Fantastic service from a very professional company. I had lens replacement surgery which only took about 30mins. It has definitely increased my quality of life and I highly recommend having it done if you are suited for it.

11 month ago I had new lenses put in my eyes. The operation went great and didn’t feel a thing. After the operation I suffered with dry eye and a thickening on the lens pocket. I was informed of this and had a quick shot of laser treatment. Had drops and cream for dry eye. Everything has now settled down. The operation and after care I received at Preston has been excellent. They are very caring and make sure everything is hundred per cent before discharging you. Highly recommended and wish I had done this earlier m.

St Enoch Branch. Shiona Great service. Shiona keeps you informed throughout test. Very friendly. Good advice from Yvonne on glasses. Been going to this optician for years. Wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.

I went in for a Laser consultation. Overall a very pleasant experience and the staff there were all very polite. The optometrist was Nadeem who spent along time explaining the pros and cons of the various surgery types, as well as the meaning behind the results I was getting in the various tests. Unfortunately for me, due to the nature of my eyes laser eye surgery was not suitable for me, and although I was disappointed to hear this initially Nadeem spent along time explaining the risks that I would face and why they therefore could not offer me the surgery. Although I had initially wanted surgery the consultation confirmed to me that it was not the right solution for me.
