Had my procedure in July 2024 I was one of the 4% of people that had to have a laser top up at no extra cost I was looked after very well over the period of my treatment regular eye checks to see how I was going through the healing process, I had the procedure at Nottingham clinic going on the train and walking to the clinic about a 20 minute walk from the train station, overall I received a top quality service, I have been left with dry eye which is more worse than before the procedure but this is manageable with drops and the correct advice from Optical Express. My vision is 2020+ I do suffer with the extra light coming in due to having the onset of cataracts (before the procedure) which now I do not have plus I do have light sensitive eyes so I just wear a good quality sunglasses when needed, so I think a good move for a clearer future in my case.

This is just going to be my yearly review on this terrible company run by greed and no compassion, I’m going to keep it brief if anyone is interested read my other review on it. Had my eyes done around 2020, cost me about over a grand maybe a bit more 3 years later eyes back to what they were, to anyone thinking about getting it done please read your agreement very carefully and think about it and take as much time as possible to read it through don’t let them peer pressure you to read it on the spot, cause once you’ve had your eyes done they don’t care about you, don’t expect any phone calls or check ups on how your doing or if your eyes are doing fine or to call you In for a eye test they expect you to do that and pay even more money, now I’m back to square one over a grand down and back to wearing contacts and honestly it’s just a constant reminder and depressing to think I’ve wasted that money. I’m perfectly healthy did all the pre checks on to see if my eyes were stable but you either get good surgery or you don’t.

I experienced a consultation for laser eye surgery today in Swansea and I have to say I had a very pleasant experience. From the minute I walked through the door the staff were very friendly and accommodating and made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. I have to give a special mention to Jo & Zahra who were absolutely fantastic. Jo & Zahra are clearly very experienced in what they do with their vast knowledge and excellent customer service. Jo made me a cup of tea and had great banter before moving me into a room where my eyes were tested quickly and efficiently. I waited mere minutes in the waiting room before Zahra called me in to her office. She spoke to me through the differences of IK & EK, I left Zahra’s office feeling very confident that I made the right decision to go with Optical Express. The staff in the Swansea office are a credit to the company and I couldn’t appreciate their efforts more.

Would highly recommend Optical Express for Laser Eye surgery. I can’t fault the experience I had from start to finish. The staff at the Cardiff branch were always friendly and helpful and telephone contact with the customer service department was the same. From the initial consultation, day of surgery and after care appointments; I was kept fully informed and always felt at ease. The best decision I’ve made and always felt in safe hands with the Optical Express team.

Really happy with my experience at the Bridgewater centre. I had a few communication issues with centralised Optical Express & the Trafford Centre branch prior to my surgery, but once I was with the Bridgewater team, everything was really smooth. The staff were really friendly and very informative. I felt very relaxed. Post-surgery I was able to get additional eye drops very quickly, and I felt welcomed at my post-op appointment.

Had an appointment with optical express in Westfield shopping centre yesterday, I was impressed with the service and warm the of all the staff. Ameena did my scans and she was wonderful, put me at ease from the start, friendly and easy yet extremely professional. Wish every organisation had a rep like her. Thanks Ameena

Had lens replacement surgery 15th November then the 19th December I had a PVD which I'm now stuck with ! ( comes under rare complications) Yes i am definitely that 1% as 99% have a full recovery I have an appointment now with a specialist at Manchester Royal for a 2nd opinion but I doubt anything can be done but fingers crossed
