Very nervous beforehand, especially given that both eyes were going to be given new lenses on the same day. The booklet helped with the step by step process along with the clinicians explantations. Perhaps the bright theatre lights could have been explained as this was the worse part of the procedure. So glad I took someone with me as things were a bit blurred so helped with navigation (all explained post op). No pain relief necessary post operatively so all in all a positive experience.

I recommend optical express because without their very thorough eye testing I wouldn't have found out about my eye problems for which I was able to get early treatment. My special thanks to Hannah and Christian.

Staff was friendly, they took time to explain the procedures and the option I have for me to make the best decision. The environment was relaxing and neat. Arma (Am sorry if I got her name wrong) was excellent and made me enjoy my time there.

Thankfully the Chelmsford Branch saved the day else I would have left less stars. The guys and girls at Chelmsford are awesome. I felt comfortable and welcome when I turned up for my lense replacement procedure. Everything was explained properly all the way through. They were just as awesome the next day during my after care appointment. Well done Chelmsford and thank you.

Just had my follow-up appointment after having lens replacement surgery I can honestly say that the decision to have lens replacement surgery has been the best decision I have ever made The second best was selection optical express to do the job! From my first appointment to now they have best brilliant always willing to answer any question provide guidance on what to expect and deliver excellent service throughout. If like me you have put this off for years i soul would strongly recommend you go ahead put your fears behind you and step into your new live with great vision !😊

I Had a surgery in 7 January 2024 at the Nottingham branch. During the healing time, I had to go back and forth to their clinic in Nottingham and Birmingham and leicester depending on which surgeon I needed to meet. Before the surgery services was good , after the surgery when I started having issues, they told me that I’ve used my 5 visits and i needed to be paying £100 to be seen again after 5 visits bare in mind I’ve paid quite a substantial amount for my lenses replacement. I was promised to be called back but never received any call back after my complaints. It’s been a year, I’m struggling with my vision. I Can’t drive at night anymore due to the intensity of the helos and floppy eye lids also, non stop feeling like there are spider web in my eyes every day. they didn’t even bothered to contact me for clients final check and sign off. My eyes have been causing me so much anxiety. I don’t know what to do than considering legal action. I feel neglected and abandon by the people i trusted and thought they will be taking care of my eyes till it has completely healed. they reassured me at the start and yet, they’ve gone silent. I’ve became a nuisance to them since I kept calling as I was panicking. Eyes are very important part of a human being, I don’t understand how they can just forget about someone who trusted them with their eyes after paying so much. I guess money is taking and that’s it.

Took son to get his glasses repaired. They were very efficient and did it free of charge as well. It was Amber from the Bellshill branch who attended us. Would definitely recommend them.

Optical express Chelmsford have been fantastic and have given me the visual freedom I have always wished for! The reception team have been fabulous and have checked in on me during my time at the clinic! Thank you!! The optometrist’s have been great and I cannot thank them enough! I would highly recommend optical express!

Do not use this company. I’m sure if everything goes well they’re fine but if, like me, there are any issues after your lens replacement, they are absolutely terrible. The contact centre staff seem very pleasant when you call asking for their help, they make promises that they don’t keep. Emails to their clinical service team are unanswered. Having paid a substantial amount of money I am unable to get my eye problem rectified. Go to a professional eye surgery company not optical Express.

Safina was very lovely over the phone, and helpful after my glasses broke mid shift, and Lauren was great fixing them straight away to sort me out for work. What a great team!

I had my lens replacement surgery almost two years ago now and haven’t written a review before now. I had my consultation with the Plymouth clinic and they were brilliant. My surgery was in Exeter and the surgeon was great. I did need a follow treatment and needed to wait for this but this was all explained to me and with in my paperwork. Just make sure you read the paperwork they give you. Great vision and very happy

Glasgow SVS 5 star review, smooth process from start to finish, couldn't fault the care that was given. Treated by the new Zeiss AAA laser and it was very quick.

All the staff were professional and very helpful in the Dumbarton branch. There was a great selection of frames at affordable prices. All in all it was a good experience.

Optical Express is definitely a well organised service. It's refreshing to see an organisation with sufficient/effective staff. I accompanied my wife for a consultation regarding cataract surgery at the Peterborough branch today. All staff who dealt with us were efficient, friendly and polite. Natasha and Hamish were particularly clear and thorough in their explanations. I can genuinely say I will be recommending their services to friends and family in the future.

after stating on the optical express website that customers are looked after for 12 months after surgery and that if necessary small adjustment surgerys are carried out, i suddenly find out that this is untrue! i have been told that if i want any additional surgery or eye checks i have to pay an additional £100 as it is over the 3month time limit, a limit i had no knowledge of! beware of this company, you will be conned out of your money while trying to get better vision then cast into the gutter I note how you say i now, supposedly, have 20-20vision. What you have NOT taken any notice of is, that at EVERY AFTERCARE APPOINTMENT I ATTENDED, AT YOUR REQUEST, NO MENTION IS MADE OF MY COMMENT OF MY EYES BEING OUT OF SYNC WITH EACH OTHER, EHICH I THINK IS CAUSING THE BLURRED VISION! Funny how what the patient/customer says is always the last thing taken notice of and noted in reviews, such as this, by the company(s) concerned!

I had my consultation at the Bradford clinic, the optometrist, Sobia Fazal, was very informative and put me at ease, she answered all my questions and didn’t rush me. The surgeon, Dr Kazmi was very professional too, the whole procedure was efficient from start to end. Cannot fault the service. I am now enjoying better than 20/20 vision.
