My Mughal completed my surgery and made me feel very relaxed and it was completely stress free! Would 1000% recommend to anyone thinking about the surgery, it’s life changing.

United Kingdom | 14 March 2025My husband made a last minute appointment on Wednesday 12th March 2025 for Friday 14th March. He rang to cancel it on Thursday after he was unexpectedly and suddenly called to hospital all night with his life long best friend who suddenly became seriously ill. He held his hand as he died. He then remembered about the appointment he had the following day and knew he wouldn’t be able to face it. He rang up extremely emotional and sleep deprived to cancel it, still providing 24hrs notice as he could not face leaving the house. He was then told by phone that he would be charged £56. My husband reluctantly explained that he had been in hospital all night with his dying friend only to be told coldly that it’s in the terms and conditions to provide 14 days notice of cancellation. This wasn’t even possible when the appointment had only been made the previous day!!!! You had absolutely zero empathy for his situation and told him no matter what, he would be charged £56 even though he was a providing 24hrs notice of cancellation. He was serious about having the procedure but we will absolutely be going elsewhere if that is how you treat your customers. What a disgusting company you are. You should be ashamed of yourselves. AVOID this uncaring and calculating company at all costs. Appalling way to treat people!!!! Only after your money, to take advantage of a grieving and broken man. Shocking.

United Kingdom | 14 March 2025From my first consultation to my last check up everything was very well explained to me .All the staff were very helpful and friendly from the ladies in reception to the surgeon himself all of them made you feel at ease and well informed . As for my results I no longer wear glasses and can read print 4 x smaller than a mobile phone font 😊😊. I couldn’t even see my phone without glasses before so very pleased with the outcome . I would recommend the Chelmsford office and all the staff there to anyone thinking of this procedure.

I had a phone call consultation the day before which unfortunately I can not have the procedure due to breastfeeding. This was raised to headquarters who complained on my behalf. Days later the £50 was taken, my complaint was declined - and the non attendance reason not even mentioned. It has now been 21 days and nobody is actioning this. Very very poor service

On speaking with Maria she thought I should be seen ASAP, and, although busy somehow managed to facilitate a consultation with an optician for first thing this morning, which I appreciate very much . I can not thank all of the staff enough for their care, concern and professionalism. I have been with Optical Express Ayr for many years and have always had the best care and attention from the long serving loyal staff. Thanks again Maria for listening and realising a prompt consultation was needed. N x

I felt at ease with both members of staff and any queries I had were answered fully. I am now counting down the days to my eye surgery.
