I sent my bank details to Karibaa the same day and was told that their refunds take up to 14 working days. The 14 working days expired on 19 May 2023. I have not received my refund and have not been able to get hold of a Karibaar representative since 17 May 2023. Karibaa, please process my refund so you can be rid of me!

They are in the same league as RARU who closed shop in Nov 2022 after stealing lots of money from customers. Both of these companies took me for a ride. No delivery neither any refunds. Don't buy from this lot of scamsters.

South Africa | 11 May 2023Order 000007047 I ordered a book that was listed as in stock and advised the book would be delivered within 10-15 days. 5 weeks later and complete silence from Karibaa. No response to emails and the contact number for the call centre has a permanent automated response. You cannot actually speak to anyone. Pretty sure Karibaa are a scam site.

I ordered a gift for my sons birthday on the 8th of March and have STILL not received my order, its been 2 months. They take you money and all you get in return is terrible service. No customer services, unanswered calls time and time again, rubbish automated emails and false promises. The ETA changes over and over again. If you call you get told your the 'next in line' and will be put through shortly then after 6 minutes the call cuts. Got through to Precious, a consultant, once and was promised to be kept up to date. Never got a word or a call through again. This company is a total SCAM and steals from hard working people. Companies like this should be shut down immediately and the people thrown in jail with the other criminals. I could have ordered this same product on takealot and would have received that no question. Karibaa is rubbish and I hope it gets what it deserves. I encourage everyone to post their reviews on as many platforms as possible, I certainly will be. This type of corruption must stop!

South Africa | 08 May 2023Simple: Do not trust this site. So many reviewers are describing the same refund failure I ordered 2 books in November 2022, for delivery before Christmas. By 14 February 2023, I had sent 5 unanswered e-mails and eventually requested a refund when I reached them telephonically. (I also e-mailed the refund request referencing the telephone call.) I only reached them telephonically once and have never been able to get through again. Since then there have been 10 more e-mails back-and-forth promising refund and enquiring about the delay. It is now May 2023 and neither the product, nor the refund has been provided. If this isn't an intentional scam, then it is doing a very-very good job of taking people's money while providing no service or product.

South Africa | 25 April 2023I ordered a second-hand textbook, which was supposed to take 3 weeks. After 3 months and endless e-mails just saying they would escalate my query, after 3 months they got back to say they could not deliver the textbook. I asked for a refund and sent them my banking details, and they still deducted a 20% handling fee. I wrote another email just for them to tell me they had sent my mail to the finance department. I am totally disgusted with Kaariba and would not recommend consumers purchase from them. Their service is pathetic.

I ordered a second hand book end of February - still no sign of it and NO-ONE from customer services gives feedback, updates regarding shipping or responds to email enquiries regarding this order.
