United Kingdom | 24 June 2022Firstly, if I could, I’d leave negative stars, they don’t even deserve 1 star in my opinion. Engie (or as I prefer to call them, the lying tw**s) have been absolutely disgraceful from the word go. My partners flat (I’m leaving this review because his probably wouldn’t get past the review) was supposed to be getting a rewire and new kitchen fitted. Well, the rewire has happened, most of the sockets aren’t even, they’re pretty much all on a slant. Where they’ve removed trunking, they’ve just ripped it off the wall, and left every screw that was holding the trunking in place, sticking out of the wall. They also just ripped off old telephone sockets, and left big sharp pieces of the sockets (and more screws) sticking out of the walls. Considering my partner and I have two children between us, this was incredibly dangerous and honestly, all I can put it down to is sheer laziness. Oh, let’s not forget that the cheeky tw**s used my partners flat to store their tools in! According to Wayne (the supervisor) they would only have done that if they were still here or doing a job first thing in the morning. Well Wayne, we have time stamped photos that show their crap in my partners flat at 6pm on a Saturday night. Considering they barely turned up when they were supposed to, I really can’t see them working on a Saturday or Sunday. The lies that have been told to try and excuse bad workmanship and sheer laziness is unreal. It’s just one excuse after another with nothing done to rectify any of the problems. Now, the bathroom. My partner wasn’t down to have a new shower, but they ripped his out anyway. Left the bath and bathroom full of rubble, the wire for the shower is just hanging there, with no shower to hook up to as Engie and their useless ways strike again, apparently they don’t have a backboard to put a new shower on, so now my partner has been without a shower for three weeks. It was supposed to be done on Monday (more lies) it’s now Friday and Dawn (the absolutely useless “liaison officer” has refused to speak to my partner about it and redirected him to York City Council. I presume because my partner told her and Wayne to leave his flat as they were going to pass absolute sub standard work in the kitchen. So now my partner is left with no way to wash properly. Oh, I nearly forgot, there’s also a big hole in his bathroom wall where they’ve also taken the extractor fan out and put in….. NOTHING. So no shower, no extractor fan and no sign of it being finished. As for the kitchen. Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the wee donkey they rode in on. Actually, I don’t know the kitchen fitters names, but they definitely rode in on a horse each. They couldn’t even manage to put the kitchen sink in straight, the flooring is made up out of bits of off cuts, the tiling is atrocious, missing grout, badly cut tiles, beading missing, and let’s not forget the amazing job of fitting the drawers so that the bottom couldn’t even close because of the gas pipe behind it…. I think they might have been blind as well. Oh and let’s not forget about the massive hole in the kitchen wall where the waste pipe for the washer was, I could put my arm in it and wave to people outside. Absolutely nothing has been done about that, but Wayne (remember, he’s the worse than useless supervisor who can only speak in lies) wanted to pass the kitchen off on inspection. Hence being thrown out of my partners flat. As a tradesperson, I’d be f***ing embarrassed to put my name to the standard of work. Even the cleaning up after themselves, don’t expect any of that! There was no cleaning up of their own mess. Me and my partner have spent HOURS trying to get rid of the crap they left behind. How Engie manage to hold on to council contracts is beyond me. I’ve never seen a bigger bunch of cowboys and bodge jobs! If you’re unlucky enough to come across this company, just pray, there’s nothing else to do because they’re not interested in complaints, they’re incapable of telling the truth, and both Dawn and Wayne can’t tell the difference between their asses and their elbows! Oh, and let’s not forget that when they gave my partner his key back… It wasn’t even his key! He was even questioned as to whether he’d tried it or not when he told them it was the wrong key, which he had of course tried, that’s how he knew it was the wrong key. Now onto the only good part, Dale who we can call Dale the Fixer (he deserves the title) who came and caulked the kitchen was the exact opposite, couldn’t do enough and actually did his job well, Dale, if you ever read this, find a different company to work for, you deserve better than baboons for bosses!

I've seen this company work in different buildings as well when I used to work in them and they are so lazy and dont care and cause more damage than fixes. I just dont understand how you see the problem and tell me you see the problem and then say its not a problem??? EXPLAIN???

United Kingdom | 02 June 2022If I could leave them no stars, thats what they would get. they are a right bunch cowboy s. Why the council give this bunch the, contract. Is beyond me .keep changing name,they fitted me half bathroom first day, had three leaks after they had gone ,then had the nerve, to moan because nephew fixed.so when toilet cistern started leaking, two pints water every half hour and would not send anyone out , told nephew sod it let them fix it. water leaking all over floor .I suffer with back problems,ect. told them .I am not moping up.the place can flood for all I care .Biggest bunch of knuckle heads, had miss fortune of meeting. Actually the only one who seemed to be playing with a full deck was plumber who put radiator and shower in, well done? They got one thing right. .think there called equan now.getting angry just thinking about them,steer clear they say professional job. not sure if they can even spell the word .let alone know what it means. came to do loft insulation looked in loft said its ok. bet they bill council though.They stand in your house , And if there mouths are moving, they are most likely, lying to you. They must go to job centre and pick first twenty people they see and tell them your now a plumber/ builder/ chippy. What a f....ng liberty. think they would be more suited to McDonald's. The lad who was laying the lino had to remove toilet which he had used. and asked if could empty down kitchen sink and I said no you f ing can't. He said its only water at the time did not know he had been for pee till he fitted it back in and seat was up. The dirty ba.......ds Also first thing they do is put all there power tools on charge cheeky sods, they can leave money on side for electric when there done,also block your sinkup, emptying there buckets. keep out my kitchen, your doing bathroom, so stay in there, fed up of bleaching door handles and anything else you might have touched. Update phoned for two hours Wednesday night from 7.45 to 10 and was told no one will be coming, so turned water off and flushed cistern, but only empties, half its water so this morning got up, to another soaked floor, so phoned again at 8.45 and told would send emergency plumber. Its now 20.45 and no one here.my neighbour must be flooded by now , even phoned council and keep getting told to phone equan.Think there all had a knock to the head.update just saw neighbour swimming past her kitchen window, bless her she does have arm bands on though. She must be making cup of tea , as she seems to be treading water now near her kettle. Finally council have agreed to send someone tomorrow, then going to bill equan. Another day almost over ,woman at council bigger lier than tom pepper. No one been out. sick of phoning, these bags of hot air; as this is all that comes out there mouths, told me today turn your water off, I said that I might want heating on later, and she had the cheek, to tell me not cold, I replied not Costa del sol either. Might not be cold in her hoose, thats how she spoke , not house lol. Henceforth I will keep ranting . So just been informed will have to wait till monday, as not emergency, are they for real, will be over 4 days since leak started. I saw woman today from council she spoke with a french accent, think she thought she was coco chanel. Looked more like coco the clown.which did not help as I suffer with coulrophobia. Must have read my review as plumber is supposed to be coming before lunch, but no one coming to do any of the other works till friday not that I care , family member going to repaint bathroom the colour I actually want, at least I will have more on walls than the floor.update I know the queens jubilee bank holiday is over, but everyone in Northamptonshire please get your flags back out .as plumber been and fixed leak. . Im not psychic but can see more disasters on way, before they are finished.dont think they will want me too fill in there satisfaction survey. How can they sleep at night, no morals what so ever. At least robin hood wore a mask . Well I think about time council realised they have tried the cowboy s, now try the Indians. Well another day over no one been out as promised, you have to laugh, am i bothered, i ain't bothered. also if they want there blue folder they can find in dust bin, but will need to collect before bin day. i give up now , the blind man over road, with no arms will finish there work to a higher specification .remember there name. Need drink now,well now 23 june not only has painter been and painted bathroom. Done my out side fence to .too clean his roller. What a c..t would not mind if he was Banksy, but looking at fence , definitely not. Someone better rectify .

United Kingdom | 18 March 2022This company is the worst its ever been, they just keep changing the name to hide bad reviews but nothing ever really changes, ive been left as a disabled person with no washing maching or way to wash my pots, a broken boiler that definitely needs replacing but of course they wont tell my housing association that because it means they can send 8 guys around in three appointments over the space of three or so weeks just to change a rubber washer, im going to hold off saying its a scam for legal reasons but cant help but wonder, last engie operative that came to my house came in, answered his phone then left my house without saying anything, only to find out the next day that what was a tiny electrcal job of changing a fuse in an aplliance switch is now a full investigation into my electrics .... Lol why? Sounds like something that begins with "s" and ends in "cam"!, If i had a choice i would never use them

Apparently they are unable to release this property, which used to belong to a school, to a domestic account. Formal complaint lodged.

United Kingdom | 04 February 2022Engie have just fitted new windows to our property in N6. They provided a fantastic service. They covered all our furniture and floor for protection and stop them gettting dirty. They worked with us so we could stay in one room while they removed and fitted the windows in the rest of the house. It took less than 4 hours to do the windows in our two bed house. They then returned on a second date to fit the window trim and repair any issues. Considering they were working with wooden windows in a conservation area they did a brilliant job. The disruption was minimal and we were kept informed at all times. The workmen were very respectful. Thank you Engie

United Kingdom | 01 February 2022Had a plumber booked for 1pm - 5pm and they arrived at 4:40pm. Looked at the problem and said that they had to go to plum centre as they did not have the part they needed, as their van had broken down and had gone in to the garage so they had only a few tools. He then left my house never to return! I do hope that he is OK. He never even rung to tell me what had happened so can you tell me what happens now as I have tried to contact you on numerous occasions over the day but I can never get through!

United Kingdom | 21 January 2022Absolutely horrendous experience from start to finish - took 2 weeks off work for kitchen works to be completed at my property and ended up having to take a further week off without pay because they couldn’t finish the job on time. Sat around every day from 8am waiting for workmen who 80% of the time never show up and when you chase up with engie they say “oh nobody’s coming today, it’ll be tomorrow” after sitting around all day and then tomorrow comes and nobody arrives. I had a full week with no workmen and no explanation or apology. The workmen take it upon themselves to enter the property and don’t bother to speak to you or introduce themselves, I remember walking downstairs to find them in my kitchen and I didn’t even know they were there. No communication between themselves, you have one person telling you one thing and another telling you something different. It took days for the flooring to be laid when it shouldn’t have and during that time I was left without cooking and washing facilities (I had to demand for my appliances to be reconnected in the end because it was taking so long) They damaged the sprinkler pipe under the sink when fitting the sink unit and I was left for weeks with a leaking pipe and had to pretty much beg for them to come and fix it. I only saw who I assume was the site manager once (I say assume because he never introduced himself, just came and looked at the kitchen and said “oh yeah we are behind with your kitchen”) They never fitted a safety chain to the cooker which is dangerous, the put a hole in the living room wall from when they fitted the cabinets and drilled through, the flooring is so cheap and thin that it’s got rips in it. The painting job was shabby and they’ve had to come back 3 times to “touch it up” - when they first painted I even heard one of the painters talking to the other saying it “doesn’t matter if it’s not 100%, it’s only for the public” I ended up doing some of the cleaning and finishing myself in the end cause no one was bothering to come and do it. This job should’ve been completed back in October and we’re still waiting now for them to come back to fix all the mistakes and issues we’ve got. Again, workmen haven’t been showing up so we got in touch with the “resident representative” who literally laughed down the phone when we told her the workmen haven’t shown up. They have been showing up but when we’re not at home and they know we’re not at home because we tell them and then the workmen have literally said they’re not coming back because they’ve tried once and we weren’t home. Awful company with people who clearly couldn’t care less. Only using them because it’s who your housing appointed. Next time we’ll ask for a different company or do the work ourselves. I feel generous even giving one star, itd be zero if that was an option

United Kingdom | 10 January 2022Engie was recently contracted to rewire my house and fit a new kitchen and bathroom and I've spent the last month or so correcting the mistakes they made. I was at work during the day so all the work has been carried out unsupervised and it shows. They left me with no where to wash or clean for days on end, dragged my appliances over a freshly screeded floor gouging out most of the screed then laid lino on top showing all the gouge marks. They failed to replace skirting boards, failed to fill in the holes where the old sockets were removed, mixed plaster on my floor, broke toilet seats by standing on them, broke feet off my appliances and to top it all off, their customer liaison officer has denied any of this stuff happened despite photographic evidence. I'm also missing a power tool battery charger and an aluminium folding work platform which because I mentioned was mistakenly taken/stolen the liaison officer refused to investigate. She did try to get me to allow a joiner to come by the property to replace the missing skirting board but since I was at work and very wary of letting any of their staff enter my home unaccompanied, I decided to deny them access. Anybody using this company to carry out work would do well to have someone you trust at the property at all times while they're there.

United Kingdom | 08 December 2021This is the company that is doing the Leicester uni job. Went there to do some labouring work for a dry lining company. Upon arrival I was informed that the dry lining company have advertised in their name because engie have a crap reputation and can’t get labourers. Job was advertised as 8-4 but it was 7:30-5:30… they advise you to arrive at 7am though for the site briefing. Made me laugh when I saw the job was on fire the other month. I hope it was a nightmare for them.

United Kingdom | 04 December 2021In line with many reviews I have to say this company is a disgrace. The management have meetings after meetings as to justify their jobs but nothing gets done. They are on notice from Ashford council to book over 2000 outstanding jobs before end of Dec. So they call residents and leave a message advising when their coming as that makes the figures look good. Residents then have to call to rebook and delay the repair even further. Female staff are treated like 2nd rate citizens with 3 leaving In the space of a few months. I turned a job down at Ashford Council as it would have meant working with this inept company.

United Kingdom | 02 December 2021I worked to the Court in Newcastle like cleaner with this company, and I was treated absolutely inhumanly by Engie staff, especially by the supervisor, she is a racist, and she turns all the staff against you. The way these people are treating you is like somewhere in the Abraham Lincon era. Imagine what is supposed to be a simple job where you go to sanitize, they are able to destroy your health and wealth being and transform your life into a nightmare. You can keep your job only if you take all the humiliations with a smile on your face.

United Kingdom | 16 November 2021If I could leave minus stars I would. They’re full of promises. I recently had a new kitchen including new floor tiles fitted. The plasterer has made a mess of my ceiling. The electrician left wires hanging out of sockets, I was left without a washing machine for 8 days. They had not checked the pipe work for my sink and washing machine, so had to rearrange my kitchen fittings to fit. Even though I didn’t have chance to disagree. It was all to save them time and money. The sink pipe work has had a severe leak for months. They fitted the new sink and cupboards, leak is still there. They did not fill in the old wastage pipe hole. I now have rats, it’s taken two weeks to get rid of them!!! The rats gained access via the pipe hole. It took 5 weeks for them to fit my kitchen, they had to come back and do the extracter fan they forgot to fit. I still have a leaking sink. I currently have scaffolding round my house, for them to fix approx 7 missing/broken slates. They have knocked my sky dish, so currently my grandsons have no tv. They want to sign off on the kitchen as finished. Not a snowball in hells chance! I’m due a lot more work from this awful, awful company. Definitely not my choice of firms. If you have a choice, please don’t use this company. They’re really bad! Also it’s a good idea to have working cameras on your property. The workmen turn up unannounced, and also say they’ve been and no answer when they should have turned up to a promised appointment. I have just had back and forth text messages regarding non attendance from workmen, I have practically been called a liar, re cards were left (most definitely not) then said workman has turned despite my saying I won’t be in. Luckily my daughter is in. She’s just phoned me and told me how the workman said he didn’t turn up yesterday, despite what I’ve been told on the phone! They can’t even get their lies to agree 🤦♀️ I’m not going to bother wasting my time ‘Daniel’ my review is truthful, I also have more than enough proof to show. I’m not interested in more promises that won’t be kept. I’m sick to the back teeth of ‘sorries’ that are just said but not really meant. I just want the work done and to never hear of your company ever again. To add to this, my daughter had covid do the gasman wasn’t able to enter our property to isolate our boiler. So the roofers claimed to only work where they didn’t need the boiler isolated. I wasn’t fooled but let them in. The gasman then came a couple of days later, when it was ok to enter. He isolated the boiler, so no gas heating in the middle of December, 2 grandsons under the age of 4, one with asthma. Next day he came back to turn it back on. No roofers came, as it had already been finished. Two more weeks before the scaffolding was taken down. As a wheelchair user, I couldn’t get out with my wheelchair. A couple of days later, I discovered I can no longer open my grandsons or my bedroom windows as they were pushed shut by the roofers and the catches were forced shut. Whole company is a complete shambles!

United Kingdom | 25 October 2021I am a resident in coatbridge North Lanarkshire where engie are doing major renovations to high rise flats ,windows sprinker systems, fire alarms and I must admit I expected more from then recently I had a fridge freezer delivered from currys and as engie required access to my kitchen to replace windows I had the appliance placed in my living room as it was new I took some pictures of it sitting in room as it happened this was same day engie were coming to replace windows when i returned to my home I noticed dent and scratches on fridge freezer when I complained i was informed this would be looked into after 2 weeks they came back and denied all liability even though my pictures have date and time of photos were taken and such was the service that the clerk of works couldn't even be bothered to off his rear end totally cowboy experience
