United Kingdom | 24 February 2021Engie have owed me £2550.00 for six weeks and despite several assurances that they will give me back my money they haven't. I am now having to report this to Leeds police. As if any small business needs aggravation like this right now!

United Kingdom | 11 February 2021Horrible company to work for, they still owe me 2days pay. Cyril Hartingan, worst site manager I've ever met, swearing and shouting at the staff. James Breheny, is another horrible and rude site manager. I would highly not recommend to work for Engie. Avoid. Avoid

United Kingdom | 07 February 2021No customer service on a Sunday for account issues. Would have been left with no heating if it were not for emergency credit. So money has been taken from my bank, but not credited in my account. This is not acceptable service for such an expensive heating solution.

United Kingdom | 15 January 2021I have been calling them for 7 days now, left emails and voicemails and still nothing!! They activated my meter without setting me up an account so I can’t even make payments!! They sent me a letter saying £10 is credited which I have to pay back but once that goes then what?! The worst company I have come across!!

United Kingdom | 19 December 2020I purchased a house from a third party which engie had built. Within 5 months my garden started to flood, it turns out my garden use to be a brooke which they didn't put drainage down for, they just filled it in. This caused e-coli in my garden to form, and kill three of my animals, poison my 10 week old german shepherd and then the water came so high it entered my house. In the house: there was no pipe for ventilation for the extractor fan to lead out side, the condensation was being lead to my floor boards. The bath constantly leaked, they came out 5 times to re-seal it but each time they didn't do it properly which has now caused me to have a new flooring and a new wall to my bathroom, rang them and they said they can't do anything about it so I've got to pay 1,300. The house is just over a year old. Do not get a house that they have built! Worse mistake I have made.

United Kingdom | 17 November 2020Hidden charges - beware to check and compare detail to avoid shock on first bill!

United Kingdom | 21 October 2020I'd give them 0 Had a phone call from engie today regarding coming out to do a safety check on the central heating in our housing executive property which I had to cancel a couple of months ago due to covid symptoms the guy on the phone booked it in without asking what suited me and said if he can't get accses our gas would be turned off. I accepted the appointment but if he turns up without his own ppe or gas Safe card he can turn back around and do-one. Gas Safe is a joke anyway it's an extra week on a city and guilds plumbing course and to threton to turn the gas off to a property of a disabled vunrable adult is a disgrace!! And the gas won't be off long because I'm corgie registered.

United Kingdom | 30 September 2020I have been waiting since 21 September for a payment of £179.99 in respect of negligence by the Engie plumber which required the purchase of a new washing machine. I was told the payment was approved and they only needed the bank details to pay it. There was nothing wrong with the washing machine but the plug/stop inserted by the plumber in the discharge tube prevented it from discharging into the sink. He had placed it there when replacing the boiler but neglected to remove it. The washing machine then displayed a major fault message and we thought it would be better to buy a new one than pay the same price to have the current one repaired. No goodwill payment offered - again supporting the idea that this company doesn't care about customers! We were told by the landlord (Thirteen) that we should have checked his work!!!!!!!!

United Kingdom | 24 September 2020Beware they have a trick of adding a chargeback they call 'Capacity Market Charge' It is not in their quotes only in the very small print of the terms. I have purchased energy for over 40 years and never come across it before. They will get £89 from me but will never be asked to quote for the £30,000 worth our 4 business buy every year.

United Kingdom | 10 September 2020Cowboys, they are being sent to do jobs and not doing the jobs properly they were sent to do new wooden fences on behalf of Southwark council and they have been rude and kept old rotting wood on the fence, the two guys were rude to a 74-year-old woman when she asked them to put everything new, why does Southwark council keep highering this rubbish cowboy, One guy's response was she should worry about cleaning her garden up than worrying about the fence, you people are worthless people

United Kingdom | 28 August 2020As an employee of Engie in Northern Ireland i worked hard and thought my efforts would make a difference. I was very wrong. This company is run by corrupt people who will never give you a truthful answer to any question. They manipulate people into thinking that they care about that person and it`s all fake. Engie will bombard employee`s with rules and regulations about health and safety then force you to work without suitable time to take tea breaks or collect materials for jobs and such. One senior supervisor Stuart Hill has been the most corrupt of staff within Engie. He made sure his mates done whatever they liked and used company materials to make improvements on his own property. He wasn`t the only member of staff that done this, most of them are just as corrupt. Customers don`t realize that it`s not just them that get treated badly. A lot employee`s of this company are treated the same, and nothing gets done even when you do make a complaint. Anyone who has put a review in with more than 1 star has probably been a staff member of Engie trying to boost their rating. Do not trust this company with anything.

Rebecca
United Kingdom | 28 August 2020If I could I would give zero stars. Been waiting 2 years for scaffolding to be put up just for a simple job! They bodge all repairs! I dont think they have any qualified staff between them. A bunch of headless cowboys! A complete and utter joke! AVOID AND DONT WASTE TIME OR MONEY ON THEM!

United Kingdom | 17 July 2020This company is a disgrace and I would not go anywhere near them if you don't want to lose £1000 of pounds. They are effectually scammers. I didn't sign up to Engie I took over a property who were previously signed up to them. As soon as the sale went through I applied straight away to move my account to my desired supplier, however they rejected this a number of times with no communication as to why. They then wanted certain information which I provided (may I add I have to chase them and find all this out) the information from them was none existent. I also wasn't sent any info on what charges they were applying during this time. After I sent the info straight back they took months and months to do anything. What they did do though is charge me hundred of pounds on their highest rates for the pleasure. They also pressured me into paying on a number of times, with a number of incorrect bills even after I had given my actual readings. To put it into context I had the property in December it under went a full renovation which during these three months had no gas because their was a new system being installed, gas only used to test the new system. Then I couldn't trade due to covid-19 so finally opened a week ago with little trade due to the climate. So in this time used next to no gas at all, however they have demanded I paid over £800 bill. I have been closed and not using gas for over 6 months how do you work that out. Their complaints team didn't care, they were more than happy to defend their current behaviour. They did offer me to only pay £650 in the end for the pleasure of them holding the change of contract up by 6 months. Seems like this is common practice for them and bullying people just to pay their outrageous charges. DO NOT GO NEAR THEM NOT A CREDITABLE COMPANY AT ALL.

United Kingdom | 04 March 2020I have only given ENGIE one star because there wasn't a way of rating them ZERO. Where do I begin with the apalling service and the year from hell I have had with this company? It started with a maverick salesman conning me out of a £500 deposit I still haven't had returned, months of incorrect gas billing, three months (to date) of hiked out-of-contract admin charges and inflated tariffs. Broken promises and deadlines. I don't believe this company even has a 'complaints department' and they may even be in bed with the Ombudsman so I'm not even confident my compalint to the latter will get results. If you eventually get a member of staff that really seems to be 'on it' and 'working hard to resolve things' don't celebrate until you actually get what you want: this has happened twice now and all seems well for a few weeks until they disappear and it all goes quiet again. I am of the opinion that this is a deliberate company policy to keep you hanging on -especially if you're out of contract with no options. They'll just string things out as long as they can while emptying your bank account! PLEASE PLEASE PASSTHIS ON AND HELP TO GET THIS COMPANY SHUT DOWN!!!!!

United Kingdom | 24 February 2020My mother who is a vulnerable adult, palliative care, we reported an issue with her boiler, no heating, no hot water, reported issue on Thursday, promised a call back, its Monday, have not heard from them. We had to make additional contact with them, made several calls and eventually got told someone will come in 4 hours. Really disappointed that an elderly lady has been left without water and heating and no real urgency from the company or clarion landlord. Still waiting without any guarantee that it will get resolved today. My mother is housebound, bed bound and we can not move her to a relatives house.
