As a Mortgage Broker, to be able to have direct contact with an underwriter to progress a mortgage application, is a real benefit when dealing with a lender. In particular, the underwriter Michael Smith went out of his way to try everything possible to secure my client a mortgage, which in the end was successful. I really felt Michael was trying his absolute best to help my client, when sometimes it feels like underwriters just tick boxes.
