I am a long time user of Kemwel, and As far as I am aware, none of the best possible promotional rates from the major Rental Car Companies can significantly bet the Kemwel prices. However, I have just had a my first bad experience. I mad the rental reservation for a pick up the next (mid-week) day at the Geneva Airport (French Side), and was offered an excellent rate at Hertz for the level car I needed. Instead of a voucher I received a message that my reservation needed to be confirmed before the voucher could be sent. I check my email lager that day, on the flight using in-flight wifi and after I landed in Frankfurt to connect to a flight to Geneva, with no email or other notifications from Kemwel. I send an email to them requesting information on confirming that I had a reservation for my rental car with Hertz. When I reached the Hertz counter, I was told that they had no record of any reservation for me from Kemwel, so I accepted their lowest available package deal which was on the order $80 more than the Kemwel offer had been. Later, I received a reply from Kemwel to my previous email stating that they were sorry that I had cancelled my reservation. I cannot believe that the person answering my email had even read it. Further, Hertz had no record of any request or cancellation from Kemwel. This is the first time I have had such bad service. I understand the potential issues in making last minute reservations, but at least they could have informed me of the status of my reservation request.

I messaged Kemwel about a rental car in Croatia, and using it in Bosnia and Montenegro. Right away I received a response from an actual person with all the information I needed. Twice more I E-mailed with questions and each time I was happy with the responses and service. There were no problems with the reservation once I was at the rental counter either.

This program is good for a long term rental (4 months in our case). You get a brand new car, good insurance coverage, and the opportunity to pickup the car and drop it off in different locations. In other words, you may not always save a significant amount, but you get peace of mind and convenience.

The reservation process was great and I have no complaints about getting what I contracted for. My issue is that I arrived at the airport and found over an hour wait at the Avis counter. I called Kemwel and asked to see if they could switch me to any other of the numerous rental companies (I was in Orlando so there were plenty and all of the others were quiet) and they told me they could, but it would cost a lot more. They didn't seem too concerned or willing to assist. I realize they weren't running the Avis counter but did expect them to offer some assistance or at least take up the issue with Avis.

Kemwel was fine but the rental car company they represented and from which I received the car (Europecar) was frustrating and unfair.

I was happy with the car I got from EuropCar, however on the voucher I have received from Kemwel it was stated in the comments section: Free upgrade one car class guaranteed. When I asked EuropeCar for the upgrade they said ... they will not provide such thing as the rental was done through a partner and I am not eligible ... weird, right?

We accidentally booked the wrong dates for our rental and all the available rentals at the airport were over $400 just for the day! I went online and booked with Kemwel, saving 100s and also getting more car space. I'm so grateful for this company!

I've used Kemwel a number of times for renting and leasing cars in Europe. Each time my experience booking with them has been easy, efficient, reliable and without incident. What I especially appreciated is the ease of making tweaks to without penalty as I would on occasion have to make changes to my original reservation.

I have been a customer of Kemwel for 31 years, from when it was situated in Harrison, New York. A few times I have encountered a rude or incompetent employee, but these times have been rare.The service is quick and courteous and the prices are right. I would recommend Kemwel to anyone.

The rental car business was closed when we arrived at the train station. Kemwell refused to refund our deposit.
